AN: The idea for Mistletoe was suggested by HonokiMoshi while the ship was suggested by @AvianKing! I will also note that the tension has not started to rise back up between the werewolves and the vampires in this one-shot. 

Everyone was gathered in Mythspire's castle for a huge Christmas party. Everyone was there. The werewolves, the vampires, the angels, the witches, Pierre, everyone! The castle was covered in red, green, and white Christmas lights and there was a huge Christmas tree set up in the main hall. Garland lined the wall and the table, where there was tons of food for both the vampires and the non-vampires. They even had a bunch of board and card games out, like Monopoly, Uno, and even Twister (of which Pierre was somehow dominating?). All in all, it was a huge celebration. 

Mario, for all the cheeriness, was sat back in the corner sipping on a glass of water. Honestly, while he did like to party on some occasions, the number of mythicals in one place was messing with his senses as an alpha, giving him a real headache. There were even more mythicals here this time than there was at the Halloween party and even that party had bothered his senses a little bit. 

He honestly wished he could go home. Sure, he loved Christmas, but this headache was killing him. But he had to stay so he could make sure his pack was safe and nothing went wrong. He hoped nothing would go wrong, but then again, hoping doesn't always help. 

"Mario? Are you ok?" He looked up startled only to relax as he saw that it was just Mitch. 

"I'm fine, just a little headache." He winced as there was a particularly loud shout as someone got screwed over in Uno. 

"You sure? You look a little pale for a werewolf." Mitch asked in concern. 

"I'm fin-" Before Mario could even finish his sentence, there was another louder shout that made him let out a whimper as his headache got that much stronger. He could hear that Mitch was trying to say something to him but he couldn't hear it properly due to the pain in his head. He could only cover his ears with his hands and close his eyes as he tried to block out the noise.

Suddenly, he felt himself being picked up. He opened his eyes to see that Mitch had picked him up and was now silently carrying him over to the stairs. While he wanted to protest, the pain in his head was almost too much for him to bear. 

Mitch climbed up the stairs and brought him into the library which was far enough away from the party that Mario could barely hear the noises coming from the room. His headache started to recede, causing him to nearly sigh in relief as Mitch sat him down on a soft plush chair. 

"Better?" The vampire asked him quietly, a concerned look still on his face. 

"Very. The number of mythicals and people down there was enough to give me a terrible headache." He nodded in relief before getting a frown on his face. "I hope the pack doesn't get into any trouble while I'm not down there..."

"If they did, we'd hear it. Besides, if you had stayed down there and your pack had gotten into trouble, you wouldn't have been able to help with the amount of pain you were in." Mitch told him and while Mario hated to agree with him, he was correct, he would have been a liability instead of an asset. 

"I guess you're right..." He sighed and Mitch nodded with a smirk as if he already knew that he was right. "In that case then, what do you wanna do now?"

"Welllllllll if you don't want to talk, I did happen to bring this with me." He pulled a box of playing cards out of his pocket. Mario smiled and they started playing cards. 

After a few rounds of different games, they started hearing muffled calls coming from downstairs. With a sigh, they both packed up the cards before walking back down together. They had only reached the top of the steps when they heard Bryan call out something that they hadn't even noticed before. 

"Alpha and Mitch are under the mistletoe!" 

They looked at each other before looking up. Sure enough, there was a little sprig of mistletoe that they hadn't even noticed before hanging up. Looking at it, Mario went bright red, while Mitch probably would have if he could blush. Neither vampire or werewolf dared to look back at the other even as everyone around them started chanting for them to kiss. 

After a few moments, however, Mario was surprised as he felt a hand on his chin. He was even more surprised when the hand turned his head so that he was looking Mitch straight in the eyes. Staring up into the red eyes, Mario barely had a chance to react as Mitch brought their lips together in a kiss. 

Around them, everyone started cheering, but Mario barely noticed them. He could only focus on the feeling of Mitch's lips against his own as he started to kiss back. After a few minutes, they separated and yet Mario continued to stare into Mitch's eyes, still in shock over what had just happened. 

"Yasssss OTP!" Bryan cheered even as he hugged Jackson. 

Mario jumped a little bit at that but before he could go anywhere, Mitch wrapped his arms around him. His face went an even deeper red as he hugged the vampire back. Then Mitch turned to the crowd and yelled. "We kissed, you saw it, now leaves us alone!" 

Everyone jumped at the order, with Mario wincing at the loudness of Mitch's voice, before going their separate ways. Mitch looked back down at Mario and gently cooed to the werewolf as he hugged him. 

"... Why-" Before Mario could even begin his question, Mitch interrupted him saying. "Cause I love you."

Mario went red even as his head snapped up to look at Mitch. The vampire suddenly looked nervous even as Mario asked in a near trembling voice. "You love me?"

Seeing Mitch nod hesitantly, Mario continued to stare at the red-eyed vampire before leaning up to kiss the vampire once more. It was a shorter one than the one they shared before but as he pulled away, he told the vampire quietly. "I love you too."
