AN: This idea for this one-shot is a combination of an idea I got from Rose Darkness and a theory that I saw on the theories chat of the origins discord about Mario being a true alpha.

When Austin had said for them to go to Packhaven and mess with them, he had felt a spark of longing. He didn't know why but glancing at Rian, he had a feeling that it had come from him. He shrugged it off, however, thinking that the other true alpha was just longing to kill somebody as much as he was.

As they drew closer and closer to pack haven, he could feel the sense of longing increase until he could barely stand it. He glared silently at Rian, who for once couldn't hear the other alpha's thought's over his own sense of longing.

Austin couldn't take it anymore as they entered pack haven once more and the longing spiked. Before he could say anything or look into Rian's thoughts further, he saw that this time, three of the werewolves were there. At that same moment, the longing he had felt from Rian turned to something that Austin recognized.

It was the same feeling he got when he thought about Bri.

He looked over at Rian in surprise but the other true alpha didn't even glance at him. No, his gaze was fixated on the werewolf with the stupid hat. The apparent alpha of this pack. No way. No freakin' way.

Just to be sure, he slipped into Rian's thoughts to see if it was true, only to slip right back out when he saw thoughts he didn't want to see. Ok, Rian having a crush on someone was definitely confirmed... as well as something else. Something he was surprised he didn't notice considering usually he could sense true alphas.

He shook his head as the werewolves of Packhaven growled at them.

"Leave these lands immediately." The other pack leader growled.

"Yeah, you're not welcome here!" The one with the eye patch echoed his alpha.

"Oh, and why is that? We're werewolves just like you?" Rian asked with a sharklike grin.

"Werewolves who killed an ally of ours." Mario growled out, making both Austin and Ritchie laugh.

"Isn't that what you did?" Austin asked with a smirk.

"What are you even talking about? I have never harmed my allies." Mario growled.

"We can sense it you know, the power that you hold." Rian snickered even as he stared at the other alpha with eyes that even now only hinted at the emotions he felt for the other. "We also know where that power comes from."

"Power? What kind of power are you guys talking about?" Asked the werewolf with the red jacket.

"The power of a True Alpha-"

"I mean he is our alpha." The one with the eyepatch interrupted.

"Ah but True Alphas aren't your run of the mill alphas." Austin snickered. "We had to kill our entire packs in order to gain our power and unless your alpha got help from the devil, he probably did as well."

"Mario would never kill anybody in Pack Haven!" Bryan objected with Xylo agreeing whole-heartedly. Mario, on the other hand, had gone shock still.

"Maybe not in this pack, but he may have done so previously, isn't that right, Mario~" Ritchie said in an almost flirty way that had Austin rolling his eyes.

Mario didn't respond but he didn't have to because his packmates were defending him in an instant. Austin and Rian just smirked at each other before Rian turned to Mario. "If you ever want to quit hanging out with these losers, talk to Pierre, he'll inform us."

The wolves of Packhaven growled even as Rian and Austin looked at each other, deciding to leave. As soon as they were on the road again, Austin told Rian. "I can't believe you have a crush on that Mario guy."

For possibly the first time ever, he saw Rian blush as he said. "Shut up, stupid."

"You're stupid!"

"No, you're stupid!"

"No, you're stupid!"

Needless to say, they argued the whole way home. Though Austin would be teasing Rian for days about his newfound crush.
