When Sniv woke up the next morning and saw that (Y/n) was still sleeping on his couch he couldn't help but smile since he thought she was cute when she slept. He promptly went to go make breakfast and stopped watching (Y/n) sleep since he didn't want to be creepy. Having her around made him feel oddly giddy, but he figured that it was because he often felt lonely; he had a large habsuite all to himself and sometimes it felt too empty. While Sniv was busy cooking breakfast, (Y/n) was woken up when she smelled the scent of food being cooked. Her stomach grumbled, signaling that she was hungry, but you were too afraid to speak up.

From what (Y/n) could smell Sniv was making some kind of meat for breakfast; she kept having to remind herself that the galra probably didn't eat or even know what (F/b) was. Since he had given you dinner the previous night, she was positive that he would give her breakfast; and she was right, he did, much to her relief. (Y/n) didn't talk during breakfast or even look up at her master unless she was spoken to. Sniv knew that gaining (Y/n's) trust would take a while, but he was willing to patiently wait to gain her trust. After breakfast was finished and he showed (Y/n) how to work the dishwasher, it was time for him to go do his duties as a commander.

"There's some food in the refrigerator that you can eat and I left a stepping stool in the kitchen for you to use. And remember the rules; no going out and no using sharp objects. Oh, and I left my datapad on the coffee table so that you can watch something." Sniv reminded (Y/n) while kneeling down, a friendly smile on his face; he might act cocky sometimes, but that didn't mean he didn't have a good side to him.

"Yes Sir." (Y/n) answered respectively, keeping a straight face as she looked him in the eye.

"Just call me Sniv." Sniv told her while using a gentle tone, not wanting her to act so formal while she was in her new home.

"Yes Sir- I mean, Sniv." (Y/n) spoke quietly, fighting the urge to smile when she noticed his ears twitching ever so slightly.

"I'll see you later. Behave yourself." Sniv said cheerfully as he stood up and put his boots on before leaving his habsuite for the day.

(Y/n) watched as Sniv left his habsuite, hearing the door lock after he left and it slid shut. After having breakfast with him and seeing how nice he was treating her it made (Y/n) feel a little bit better about being his pet rather than being a slave; she would still be cautious around him, though. When (Y/n) was sure that he was gone, she walked into the living room and saw a datapad laying on the coffee table. Sniv told her that she could watch stuff on it, so that's exactly what she did. Thankfully using a datapad was almost like using an iPad, only it was more advanced and it could detect her language when she spoke and it translated everything.

__________

Throughout the day while reading through some reports, a mundane task that all commanders had to do, Sniv couldn't stop thinking about (Y/n). He was definitely happy to have someone living with him, but he couldn't tell anyone that in fear of being judged for it; humans were seen as an inferior species, but Sniv didn't view (Y/n) as inferior to him. When his lunch break finally came he went to the cafeteria and sat at the commanders table, just like he did every day. When he was a lieutenant his biggest dream was to sit at the table where all the commanders sat, but after buying (Y/n), it didn't feel as good as it used to.

"How's your pet doing this morning?" Ladnok casually asked Sniv, glancing up at him from across the table.

"Have you fornicated with it yet?" Ranveig questioned, grinning viciously as he looked at the younger commander; the only reason he was a galra central command was because of an upcoming meeting.

"She's doing good and no, I haven't." Sniv boldly answered, glaring at Ranveig for a moment; sometimes he really disliked the warlord.

"Oh, so it's a she. Well then, you better have her fixed before you do fuck her. We don't need any worthless halfbreeds running around and taking up resources." Morvok implied loudly, chuckling evilly as he leaned against the table.

"Yes, I know." Sniv responded in an annoyed tone, pinning his ears against his skull when he sent a glare in Morvok's direction; on the inside, he felt uncomfortable about what was being said about (Y/n).

As soon as everyone turned their attention back to eating their food goo, Sniv was thankful for not being asked any more personal questions regarding (Y/n). Long before he bought (Y/n) he strongly disliked inferior species and halfbreeds, but now that she was in his life, albeit for only one day, he was beginning to have a change of heart; he couldn't let anyone else know that, though. He briefly wondered how she was doing, hoping that she was able to figure out how his datapad worked.

"Are you going to the gladiator match tomorrow? I've heard that a few of the other humans are in line to fight." Throk asked Sniv with a knowing tone, knowing that he wouldn't be able to resist showing up.

"You know that I will. I wouldn't miss it." Sniv answered as a grin appeared on his face; even though he had a soft spot for (Y/n) he still enjoyed watching the gladiator matches.

Throk reciprocated the grin Sniv gave him before once again turning his attention back to his food, making sure to eat slowly so that he wouldn't have to go back to work so quickly. When Sniv started eating again, he wasn't thinking about anything in particular. The other commanders continued chatting about a few things throughout lunch, mainly about what their crews got up to when their shifts ended. Speaking of crew members, Sniv looked in the direction of his own crew and smiled when he saw them having a good time; he wasn't as strict as Zarkon and the older generation, so he didn't mind them goofing off during their free time as long as they didn't get too rowdy. For the rest of his lunch break, Sniv thought of ways to help lessen his workload.

__________

After finally finishing his work and clocking off for the day Sniv was finally able to return to his habsuite and you, feeling relieved to finally go home. As soon as he unlocked his door, entered his habsuite and took his boots off he saw his pet sitting on the couch while watching something on his datapad. The door slid shut once he left the detection area, causing (Y/n) to look up from the device. (Y/n) had lost track of time after she found a website where you could watch (F/a/s) for free. When she saw Sniv she started panicking a little; (Y/n) paused the video as quickly as she could before putting the datapad back on the coffee table.

"I'm glad that you figured out how to work my datapad." Sniv spoke calmly as he walked over to the couch and sat down, not wanting to accidentally startle the young woman.

"Y-yeah, I did." (Y/n) stammered quietly, thankful that he didn't trick her into breaking a rule; earlier she kind of expected something like that to happen, but she was relieved it didn't.

"Are you ready for dinner?" Sniv queried in a friendly tone, moving his ears up and down and seeing the slightest of smiles appear on (Y/n's) face.

"Yes, I'm ready." (Y/n) answered meekly, trying her best not to smile when he moved his ears up and down a little; for someone who worked for an evil alien overlord, she had to admit that he was cute.

Sniv grinned, wiggling his ears a little more before he got up off of the couch and walked to his kitchen. After having to eat the disgusting food goo that was served for lunch every day he was ready to finally have a meal that included real food. He still didn't know a whole lot about humans, so later that night he would do a little research after (Y/n) fell asleep on the couch. He hoped that someday in the future she would fully trust him. When dinner was ready, Sniv called (Y/n) over to the table and helped her get up on a chair before letting himself sit down; once again, he found himself starting up another conversation; not that he minded, of course.

"Did you enjoy the food I left in the fridge for you?" Sniv asked (Y/n) about halfway through dinner, knowing that she had eaten it.

"Yes, it was good. Thank you for leaving it in the fridge." (Y/n) spoke quietly as she answered him, looking up from her dinner.

"That's good, and you're welcome; I thought that you would like it. Do you have any hobbies or interests?" Sniv queried in hopes of (Y/n) coming out of her shell a little and hoping that, if possible, he could buy some other things for her to do while he was gone during the day.

(Y/n) was a little surprised by the question, but you decided to tell him about one of your favorite hobbies, albeit cautiously since she still couldn't trust him yet. She kind of missed living on Earth, but she missed her freedom most of all; (Y/n) didn't blame Sniv for her being captured since he didn't have any part of it. Sniv listened intently as she told him about one of her favorite hobbies, asking an occasional question about different aspects of it every so often. Having (Y/n) openly talk about one of her interests was good, especially since he would be able to get the needed supplies for her hobby. (Y/n) had to admit that it felt nice to finally talk about something that brought her joy in life, especially since Sniv was genuinely interested and even asked her questions about certain aspects; it made her wonder if he was evil or just misguided.
