Izuku should have been more careful. He had gotten reckless. He was delivering a harddrive to Eraserhead and didn't check his surroundings. The hero was in the midst of applying handcuffs when Izuku dropped down. He tucked the stick into Eraserhead's pocket, and just as the hero was turning around, a gunshot rang out.
One of the criminals had a gun.
Pain pierced Izuku's stomach. Looking down, he could see blood spreading across his shirt. His eyesight got fuzzy, and he started to blink.
He started to fall.
Black sleeves caught him. Muffled talking drifted through his head. He could hear the sound of sirens before he blacked out.
He registered vague murmuring.
There was an incessant beeping next to his ear.
His bed felt papery.
Wait....
What?
Izuku opened his eyes and regretted it. Harsh florescent lights attacked his vision. The beeping came from a monitor next to him. He was in a hospital of some sort.
Wait... Wait!
Izuku frantically looked around. No one was in the room. The windows couldn't open and the door was on the far side. He checked if he still had his mask on, and sighed in relief when it was still there.
Upon closer inspection, there were bandages wrapped around his stomach. The injury throbbed with pain. He only had a saline IV taped to his arm.
He heard footsteps behind the door. The door was pushed open by a lady in nurse scrubs followed by Eraserhead.
The lady looked at him. "Oh good, you're up!" She made way towards the IV and started changing it.
"You're lucky the shot missed." Eraserhead said, crossing his arms.
'How long was I out?'
Eraserhead raised an eyebrow. Crypted had yet to use sign language with him. "You were out for six hours."
'Where am I?'
"This place is called Deep End Care. It's an underground clinic."
"You'll be able to leave in an hour or two. You've been treated with a blood transfusion and a healing quirk." The lady said. "The report and recipt will be given upon discharge."
