beta version lgo chap 2
Tubbo was the first to fully take in the death message. Apon seeing the textbox appear in front of him while mining with ranboo, the shock hit him hard. His friend hadn't been dead at all. Then the tears started. Small droplets formed in the corners of his eyes and grew bigger until he was crying rivers. He collapsed onto the mine floor, pixaxe dropping from his hand, and curling into a sobbing ball. Ranboo, try as he might, was unable to provide any comfort seeing as he was also trying and failing to withhold tears from streaming down his now steaming face. He was also experiencing a similar reaction, but he decided he should be the stronger person here. Tubbo, after all, had known Tommy longer, they were childhood friends.
He picked up Tubbo and started cradling him, as a mother would with a small child, walking back towards their house. Now was not the time for mining.
The next one to fully break down was Philza. He was Tommy's dad, loved him as such, and the combination of heartbreak and shock almost gave him a heart attack. He had lost another child. Techno, while he didn't get along with the boy very well, felt sorrow at the news. Tommy was a lively person and brought adventure to his surroundings. He knew that Philza cared a great deal for his son and it broke his soul to see him this sad.
Many of the other members of the SMP were either unaware of Tommy's death, knew but didnt care, or had similar reactions to these four; some were more overjoyed than others.
Within the hour, Sam left the prison to make an announcement. Everyone (minus George, the prick) congregated at what remained of the community house (no one had bothered to rebuild it much because it kept being destroyed) to hear the news. Sam announced that there had been a security breach during Tommy's visit, during the lockdown Dream killed Tommy and it was caught on the security recorders.
This confused anyone who was keeping track of lives. That would mean that Tommy was dead for good. Before the rambling got too loud, Sam continued.
Somehow, while Sam was relieving security to get Tommy's body from the vault, Tommy came back to life. The security recorders don't capture video and also don't capture high quality audio so he only had bits and pieces of what they were talking about.
Sam bent down, put a record in the box, and said, "This is what was recorded."
At the start of the recording, thier wasn't much, only some sounds of shuffling and white noise, but then there was a sound, talking.
To Tubbo's horror, he heard Tommy pleading to be left alone and yelling and demanding answers. Tubbo could understand the need. He too had wondered what sick reasoning this man had. He got his answer in the form of a muffled statement, almost unhearable over white noise, "because I wanted too."
At this point, Tubbo was crying, Ranboo had his ears covered, Phil was already devastated and seemed to have passed out, techno was taking care of Phil, ECT.
Then tubbo heard the most heartwrenching thing in the world. Screaming, both Tommy and dream's, was comming out of the box. Sam quickly shut off the recording, put the record in his pocket, and continued his speach. "It is unclear who pushed who into the lava, but if I were to guess I would say it was Tommy. The sensors on the prison floor indicate that the lighter person entered the lava last."
After the debrief was over, they were encouraged to disband. Sam went to tubbo and ranboo. "I know it was hard to hear and I wanted to know if you two were alright."
"I don't think I ever will be alright," said Tubbo, who was encouraging his husband to lift his hands, "but I think I will survive."
Ranboo gave a small noise of agreement.
"Well, if you need anything, dont be afraid to give me a call," Sam said. He then walked back to the prison.

A sense of mystery revolving around how Tommy came back to life and why he did what he did compelled the people on the server to honor him in some way. It was decided that that day would be to honor Tommy's sacrifice and celebrate Dream's final death.
When the time came, they held Tommy's funeral and laid what was left of him in the ground. For many of these people, it was a day of utter sorrow. At the sight of Tommy's body, Tubbo cried again. He didn't know what else to do. It felt like crying was the only thing that could fill the hole his now dead best friend had left. "I wish I could have stopped you from going," Tubbo said, unsuccessfully wiping tears from his face, "maybe then you wouldn't have died." Philza couldn't bear to look at Tommy for fear that he couldn't take it. Sam had an aura of regret and sadness. He had taken a liking to that kid, despite what he did to the smp. Once they had paid their respects, they lowered the coffin. The proceedings were certainly more respectful than what Jschlatt ended up with. (Quackity had been banned from the premises.)
