"BLAKE! WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?" I hear Sean yell. I watch the corner and wait for him to turn the corner and find me and Adam but apparently Adam had other plans. He scooped me up into his arms and jumped over the fence and just ran with me in his arms. I held onto him, scared that he was going to drop me. "A-Adam! Where are we going?" I ask him. He responded with silence. While I wait for him to answer my question, I yawn. I close my eyes and drift off to sleep in Adam's arms. "Blake. Wake up." Adam says softly. I open my eyes and my vision is a little blury, but after a couple of seconds, my vision clears and returns back to normal. "Adam? Where are we?" I whisper to him and rub my eyes. "Your place." He answers and sits by me. All the sudden, I'm fully awake. "Where's Kayla?" I ask in panic. "Sissy, I'm right here." Kayla says calmly. I immediately hug her. "Kayla!!" I say and she froze. "Hi? Are you okay?" She asks, confused. I shake my head and let go of her. "No, I need to tell you something." She looks at me. "I actually need to tell you something as well..." she informs me. I tilt my head. "Oh?" And she nods and starts to play with her hair. I know now that she's nervous. "You start." I insisted. She clears her throat. Adam is just listening to all of this. "So....my friend Ryan, you have met him before. He's involved with a group called the Dark Claw and he needed a partner...both me and Ryan decided that I would be his partner so now I'm in the Dark Claw." Kayla says nervously. I just stare at her, trying stay calm but it didn't work. My eyes turn red and the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. "KAYLA! I'm in the Dark Claw, it's extremely dangerous and I told the leader that I will never get you involved! When mom and dad passed away, Sean who is the leader, told ME that I have to replace mom and dad since I'm the older twin." I snapped at her. Adam laid a hand on my shoulder, signaling for me to calm down and I look at him. Even though she's your twin doesn't mean she can handle you snapping at her. He reminds me. I look back at Kayla and see her curled up, covering her ears and her eyes are shut tight with a tear falling down. She's also shaking. I sigh and kneel down beside her and my eyes turn back to the pretty aqua that they are. "I'm so sorry Kayla, I didn't mean to snap at you. I'm just a little mad." I explained to her. She uncurled and uncovered her ears but that's it. I realize that she fell asleep and I sigh. I sit back against the wall. "Guess I was fighting with Sean for no reason." I accidentally mumble out loud. Adam quietly walks over to me, sits down beside me. "That's not true Blake and you know it. Sean is evil and there is a reason to fight with him. For you, you have a great reason. To fight for your sister." Adam points out. "But she's already in the group...there's no point anymore." I respond. He sighs and puts his arm around me which makes me blush. We are best friends, not boyfriend and girlfriend...then again....I've known him since we were babies....oh that's right, he does this to confront me. "She's your sister, you had to know that she would find out about the Dark Claw at some point." He says. I get up and sit across from him, my black fox ears and tail are out but Adam is used to it. I look at him. "I know she was going to find out at some point...I just didn't expect her to find out so soon..." I explain to him honestly. "What time is it?" I changed the subject and he sighs. "Midnight. Back onto the subject of Kayla and the Dark Claw." He tried to change the subject back but I immediately shook my head. "No. I don't want to talk about it anymore." I make it clear to him. He rolls his eyes. "Blake we have to tal-" I cut him off. "No I'm not talking about it anymore." I sharply inform him. "Fine." He gives in. I realize something. "Aren't you Sean's son?" I ask and he flinches. "I am not his son and he is not my dad anymore." He tells me and I sigh. "Right, cause that's totally how it works." I fire at him and he tenses up. "Blake. Drop it." He fires back. "Sorry." I apologize to him.
