ObjectStories - DAY 1
I was a bit scared to leave the room.
That Unknown person said I would be fine, though.... And the others probably did it (besides il).
I took a deep breath and stood up, opening the door slightly.
...Nothing attacked me, so I opened it a bit more.
The house was eerily silent after last night.
30% battery. I should plug in the phone.
I carefully left Becca's room and entered a living room. I walked through the kitchen and ended out in the area where Cam 9 would've shown.
...No one was there.
I glanced around a bit before plugging in the phone.
Wait. The computer's on...an email?
I glanced around once more before carefully sitting down and looking at the email.

to me
Becca,
Please, you've gone too far with this. Let us explain. Meet us somewhere. Anywhere.
Please. We want to help you. We all love you. We miss you. The real you. The funny, kind-hearted, sensitive girl we all became such great friends with (PS that's you!).
Just...fight the anger. Fight the hatred. We never betrayed you. We never would.
Please come back to us.
----------
Woah.
Was this what Becca freaked out about last night?
We? He misses the girl he fell in love with?
The Unknown person is definitely a girl, meaning there are at least 2 who want her back.
What in the world did we fall into?
I shook my head and stood up, not wanting to invade on her privacy anymore.
Now...spark said something about a snow golem....
Is that Minecraft related?
I know her little brother is obsessed with Minecraft (plus all the stuff in his room), so maybe something in there?
I looked at the computer screen for a moment longer before heading back to Caleb's room.
The door was ajar, so I pushed it inward.
Caleb sat in front of a small table covered in various Minecraft things. A snow golem sat at the top of a structure that looked like a small mountain.
Caleb looked to me and I froze, worried he would attack me.
"Becca is hurt.... Traitors...all traitors...they hurt my big sister.... They hurt my mother figure...."
He slowly stood up and walked towards me until he was directly in front of me. "Are you a traitor? Did you leave my sister alone to be bullied by so many bad people like they did?"
"N-No, I...I live quite a ways away from Becca normally.... I can only give Internet comfort...."
He sighed and, for a moment, I saw a distressed 7-year-old. "I want my sister back...."
He turned and threw himself onto his bed, snuggling up with various stuffed animals.
I watched him for a moment before gently grabbing his snow golem. "May I...play with this for a while?"
He glanced over at what was in my hand. "I guess...don't steal it, though, or I'll hurt you...."
That sentence was a lot more creepy coming from a 7-year-old....
"I promise I'll bring it back, Mister Caleb...."
I quietly left the room and went back into Becca's room, sitting on her bed. I turned the snow golem around, examining it. I noticed a slot in its mouth and a little button on its head. I pointed the mouth at the bed and pressed the button.
A small click sounded as something small and circular thumped into the bed cover.
It was a Minecraft snowball.
I kept clicking the button until all the snowballs were out, though one got stuck in the mouth for some reason.
Wait...that wasn't a snowball. It was paper!
I tugged the paper out and unfolded it, reading it.
If you're reading this, then you're one of Becca's friends. I am Rachel. Or...for now, at least.... Becca's gone crazy. She stays in her room almost all the time now, and I hear muttering constantly. I'm scared. Daddy doesn't know what to do, and I swear I keep hearing this baby giggle in Becca's room. It's...really creepy. We couldn't figure out what was wrong with her. Sometimes, she would say something loudly, like "betrayal" or "revenge." Becca doesn't do revenge. Something is really wrong.... I'm hiding these little notes all over the house for people to find so they can understand. Becca isn't evil. Becca...isn't Becca right now. The notes should explain about why Becca is how she is right now, but I'm running out of room here. The notes are in not-obvious places because...well, if Becca finds these before you guys, her friends.... Well, it wouldn't be good. Please, friend of Becca...save us all. Save Becca.
So...spark found this before?
I glanced back down at the snow golem.
Putting it back in the snow golem actually wouldn't be such a good idea because...well, spark being able to tell me that hint could be a fluke.
I need to put it somewhere secret, somewhere where, as either I or others find more of these notes, we can hide them in one place for the others. But it can't be obvious....
And...how would I hide it? Doesn't Becca practically know what all is going on in the house?
...but she isn't around anywhere. At least, not as far as I know. Besides, she might be...preoccupied with the thought of that email.
I bit my lip as I glanced around the room. Where could I hide this note and leave a subtle hint for the others...?
The closet? No, too obvious....
Under her lamp? No, if there's more than one note, there won't be enough room....
Under that Kirby hat? No....
Wait....
Kirby....
My eyes widened as I thought of an idea.
I noticed a wall charger that should fit a phone, so I could charge it in here.
I quietly left the room and went into the dining room to grab the phone.
I went back into Becca's room and stuffed the snowballs back into the golem's mouth.
I went into Caleb's room and put the snow golem back. "Thank you, Caleb. That was helpful."
He didn't answer. He just...stared at me.
I blinked slowly and backed out of his room. THAT was creepy....
I gently closed Becca's door and sat on the bed, messing with the phone.
Geezus, how in the world did she get this thing in?!
Finally, I popped the two-part case off of her phone.
A small card fell out from the case, as well.
It had a long number and a picture of Becca, as well as black lines like a barcode at the top. A student ID card.
I carefully placed the folded up note and the card back into the white part of the case and fit it back onto the phone. With some difficulty, I got the purple part of the case with all the Kirby stickers back onto the phone.
I flipped the phone over and smirked. You couldn't tell that anything was there.
Now...how to tell the others that it's there without alerting Becca....
Can't use the word phone...or case...or call....
Urg, how am I going to make a subtle hint?!
I pondered the thought for a bit as I plugged the phone into the wall charger, making sure the lightning bolt showed up in the battery to ensure it was charging.
I placed it face-down on the floor in front of the wall and sat back on the bed, staring at the phone and the various Kirby stickers.
Kirby...Kirby...under...behind....
That's it! ...hopefully.
I grabbed a small piece of paper from Becca's dresser and a pencil from her shelf and wrote, "Behind the Kirby are the hints of a friend".
I put the piece of paper on Becca's pillow and flopped down on the bed, letting out a huge sigh.
I have about 17 hours until 12 am....
Might as well get something to eat and rest....
Lord knows I'll need it....
