Severus leads him to the great hall. "Do you want to sit with me or your friends?"

"I have to sit at the head table."

"I'm the headmaster so I make the rules. And I say you don't have to if you don't want to." Severus says smirking.

"How about... on your lap?" Harry grins.

"Not today."

"Well shit... I'll just sit at your feet."

"No. You'll sit next to me because I don't want to seem bad on my first day as a real headmaster."

Harry smiles and kisses him. "Umm... H-How do you feel about me calling you that?"

"Master?"

Harry nods slightly.

"You can just. Not in public."

Harry nods.

Severus sits in the headmaster's chair and motions for Harry sits next to him.

Harry sits next to him.

"I still don't want to say," Severus mumbles as he looks at the staff. Mcgonagal is waiting for the first years. Bill is sitting at the table. Same as Remus. And Hagrid is leading the first years on boats.

"Just important stuff, announcements, and important information."

"So like. don't be retarded and go into the fucking forest and don't try and kill each other?"

"Not like that," Harry giggles.

Severus smiles and the non-first years comes in. "Should I make them sing as Dumbledore did?"

"Do as you wish, I'm not singing."

"Aww why?"

Harry snorts, "I can't sing."

"Then I Guess no singing... this is not going to go well." He says seeing most kids glare at him.

Harry kisses his cheek and smirks hearing a collective gasp.

Severus grins and looks at Remus. He's not glaring.

Harry looks around at the students.

McGonagall leads the first years in and to a hat and stool that is placed near the head table.

Harry elbows him. "You're up."

Severus stands up glancing at Harry. "Hello, first years and others. I am Headmaster Snape. And you first years are going to get sorted into one of three houses. Slytherin for ambition. Gryffindor for bravery." then he says under his breath. "And stupidity. Ravenclaw for smart and Hufflepuff for. I think kindness. No one really knows. Anyway, let the sorting begin."

Harry chuckles behind his hand.

Severus smiles and McGonagall starts calling names.

"Good job."

"Thank you," Severus says as a Slytherin gets called. He claps.

Harry frowns as the rest of the houses boo.

Severus sighs. "It's always bad for them. This year will be worse."

Harry gets up and goes to the girl as she starts to cry.

Severus watches grinning.

Harry hugs her. "It's okay." He says softly.

Severus watches harry clapping when he needs to.

Harry smiles at the girl as she calms down and Draco comes over to take over

When the sorting is over, Harry comes back as Severus stands up again.

Harry sits down.

Severus looks around and says, "the rules are simple and should not be hard to break if you have a brain." He says looking at the Gryffindor then harry. "Don't go into the forest and don't fight each other. The war is over and there is no one to blame but the people who are in Azkaban so I expect no fighting. So let's all have a nice year. You may eat." And the food appears.

Harry smiles and nuzzles him.

"Eat harry."

Harry ignores him.

"Harry eat," Severus says nudging him.

Harry whines.

"Please."

Harry whimpers and eats.

Severus smiles and looks at the students.

Harry looks at him. "They have no idea why I'm up here."

"It's fine."

Harry nuzzles him.

"Eat more."

"No."

"Why?"

"No."

"Tell me why."

"No."

Severus sighs and pushes his plate away.

Harry whines.

"What?"

Harry tries to feed him.

"You're not eating why should I?"

Harry tries to force feed him.

"Stop Harry."

"No."

"you eat then I'll eat."

"No."

"Then stop."

"No."

Severus ignores him.

Harry lightly hits him then pouts.

Severus looks at him.

Harry ignores him.

Severus sighs then pulls him onto his lap.

Harry cuddles to him.

Severus smiled and holds him tightly.

Harry ignores the stares.

Severus tries to feed him.

Harry eats a little more.

Severus smiles.

Harry nuzzles him.

Severus looks around.

Harry looks around as well.

Severus looks at the Slytherin who seem curious.

Harry spots the small girl from earlier, "Severus?"

"Yes, Harry?"

"What's that girl's name?" He asks as she chats happily to Draco.

"Shay Abatrax. Why?"

Harry makes her file appear and opens it, "She's an orphan..."

"I know."

"I was thinking about adopting a kid after school if I had made it, and I still am..."

"Oh..."

"I was thinking of adopting her..." he says softly.

Severus looks at her.

Harry reads the file.

Severus sighs and says, "I don't know how good I'll be with a kid."

Harry looks up at him.

"I can barely take care of you," Severus adds.

"I can take care of myself and a kid with a little help."

"She deserves better... no one wants to say their dad was a death eater..."

Harry looks down and makes the file disappear.

"I'm sorry Harry... maybe later."

" I just don't want her to stay there... she's a sweet girl holding onto what little hope she has left."

"Maybe. We can make it wear orphan wizards can stay here over the summer?"

Harry looks up at him hopefully.

"And kids who are abused."

Harry kisses him.

Severus pulls away and smiles.

Harry smiles happily.

Severus sets harry aside and the dessert appears. "Eat some dessert harry."

Harry grabs a cookie.

Severus watches him.

Harry eats it.

Severus watches the students. Then looks at the girl who is looking at the table in amazement.

Harry looks at Severus and back at her.

Severus looks at him. "What?"

"Nothing..."

Severus kisses his forehead.

Harry sighs.

"What's wrong?"

"Don't worry..."

Severus frowns.

Harry leans against him.

Severus puts an arm around him. "What should I tell them for dismissal."

"I don't know."

"Tell them this time no one is going to kill them good night?"

"Sure... why not?

"Or I can tell them not to break curfew or a dragon will get them."

"Whatever."

Severus frowns.

Harry gets up. "I'm going to my room..."

Severus watches him.
