3.2 Reality check

Abhir's words cut through the air like a sharp knife, piercing Ruhi's defenses and striking at the very heart of her being

"You know what your problem is, Ruhi?" he spat, his voice venomous with contempt.

"Your hate for Abhira is much bigger than the love for your child. You don't want your child's happiness, but Abhira's sadness."

Ruhi's eyes widened in shock, her face paling as she stared up at Abhir in horror.

She felt like she had been punched in the gut, her breath knocked out of her.

She tried to speak, but her voice caught in her throat, unable to form words.

Abhir's eyes blazed with anger and disgust, his face twisted in a scathing expression. "You're so consumed by your own hate and bitterness that you're willing to sacrifice your own child's happiness just to see Abhira suffer," he sneered.

"You're a terrible mother, Ruhi, and an even worse person."

The room fell silent, the only sound the heavy breathing of Abhir's anger and Ruhi's sobs.

Dadisa stood frozen, her eyes wide with shock and horror, as Abhir's words hung in the air like a challenge.

Abhir's voice dripped with venom as he spat out the words, his eyes blazing with anger and accusation. "And it's my fault that I revealed that Daksh is your child and not Abhira's," he sneered, his tone twisting with contempt.

Ruhi's face crumpled, her eyes welling up with tears as she stared up at Abhir in shock and horror. She felt like she had been punched in the gut, her breath knocked out of her.

Abhir's voice cracked as he spoke, his words tumbling out in a rush of emotion. "And now I regret my decision, my sister is losing herself because of me only!" He felt a stinging sensation in his eyes as tears began to fall, streaming down his face as he gazed blankly ahead.

Memories of Abhira's shattered expression, her tears, and her broken state after learning the truth about Daksh's parentage flooded his mind. He recalled the way she had crumpled to the ground, her world shattered by the revelation.

Abhir's body shook with sobs as he remembered the anguish in Abhira's eyes, the desperation in her voice, and the helplessness that had gripped her. He felt a wave of guilt wash over him, knowing that his actions had caused her so much pain.

"Why did I do it?" Abhir lamented, his voice barely audible. "Why did I have to tell her the truth? I should have kept quiet, spared her the agony." His tears fell harder, his regret and remorse consuming him.

Ruhi's words cut through the air like a sharp knife, her tone venomous and accusatory. "Abhira koi dhudh ki dhuli nhi hai, usne mere saath bohut galat kiya hai" (Abhira is not an angel, she has done a lot of wrong to me).

Abhir's eyes narrowed, his face darkening with anger as he listened to Ruhi's words. He felt a rush of indignation and defensiveness on Abhira's behalf, his veins throbbing with a fierce protectiveness.

"How dare you!" Abhir thundered, his voice low and menacing. "Abhira is my sister, and I won't let you speak ill of her!" He took a step forward, his fists clenched, his eyes blazing with anger.

Ruhi took a step back, her eyes flashing with defiance. "I'm telling the truth, Abhir," she spat. "Abhira has wronged me in ways you can't even imagine."

Abhir's anger reached a boiling point, his face twisted in a snarl. "You're a liar, Ruhi," he growled. "You're just trying to justify your own wrongdoings by blaming Abhira."

Abhir's words dripped with venom and accusation, his tone scathing. "It must be Abhira who married her lover's brother so that she can stay closer to her lover!" he spat, his eyes blazing with anger.

Ruhi's face turned white with rage, her eyes flashing with fury. She took a step forward, her hands clenched into fists. "Abhir, you're crossing all limits!" she shouted, her voice echoing through the room.

Abhir's expression remained unyielding, his voice relentless. "I'm just exposing the truth, Ruhi," he growled, his words cutting deep. "You've been manipulating everyone, using your relationships for your own gain. It's time someone revealed your true face."

Abhir strode past Ruhi, gently taking Daksh from Rohit's arms. His eyes locked onto Ruhi's, blazing with accusation. "You cursed Abhira, wishing her child would die," he said, his voice low and even. "But karma caught up with you. Your own child was the one who passed away."

Ruhi's face went white, shock and guilt written across her features. "Daksh is my child!" she protested, desperation creeping into her voice.

Abhir's eyes never left Ruhi's face as he spoke, his voice firm and confident. "Are you sure? Let us ask the nurse of the hospital," he said, his gaze unwavering.

Abhir's words hung in the air, and then the nurse stepped forward, her expression solemn. "Sir is right, Daksh is indeed Mr. Armaan and Mrs. Abhira's child. I lied to them, tempted by the promise of money."

Ruhi's eyes widened, her face draining of color. She felt like she'd been punched in the gut, her breath knocked out of her. "No... this can't be true," she stammered, her voice trembling. "He's my child... I felt him kick, I carried him for nine months... Complications in Abhira's pregnancy, not mine... My child can't die!"

Her words trailed off, her voice cracking as the truth hit her like a tidal wave. She stumbled backward, her eyes fixed on Daksh, her mind reeling with the consequences of her own actions.

Abhira whispered "BSP" as she stepped into Poddar Mansion, her eyes scanning the room until they landed on her child. She had been summoned by Abhir's urgent call, and as she entered, she had caught the tail end of the conversation between Abhir, Ruhi, and the nurse.

Without acknowledging anyone else, Abhira's feet seemed to move of their own accord, drawing her to the one person who mattered most - her child, Daksh. She rushed to him, her arms opening wide as she gathered him close, tears of joy and relief streaming down her face.

"Daksh, my baby," she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion as she held him tightly, never wanting to let him go again.

Abhir's face broke into a warm smile as he watched Abhira shower Daksh with kisses, her eyes shining with happiness. It was a moment of pure joy, one that filled Abhir's heart with love and contentment.

As Abhira continued to kiss Daksh's face, Abhir stepped forward, his eyes never leaving the two people he loved most in the world. He gently leaned forward, his lips brushing against Abhira's forehead in a soft, tender kiss.

The moment was filled with a sense of closure, of righting the wrongs of the past. Abhir felt a deep sense of satisfaction, knowing that his sister and her child were finally reunited, and that justice had been served.
