we head into a restaurant and sit down.

"guys, i heard there's karaoke here." millie grins.

"oh! finn, you should sing!" i suggest as he bursts out laughing. "i don't see what's funny about it. you're good at singing." i frown.

"i'm famous, remember?" he points out.

"i am too." i smirk at him.

he shakes his head. "i'm not doing it." he leans back in the booth.

"how about you sing?" caleb raises an eyebrow at me.

"i'm really bad though. i might shatter the glass." i joke. millie looks at me blankly.

"just do it!" gaten screams, earring glares from people.

"fine." i sigh. "i'm not a pussy like finn." i smirk at him as he shakes his head.

after finding a guitar, i walk up to the small stage with a chair on it.

when i was younger, my mom/dad taught me how to play guitar. fun fact, right?

i sit down on the chair as the group cheers for me.

"hi." i awkwardly wave at everyone. "i'm y/n and i guess i'm singing for you guys tonight." i chuckle as some people laugh.

i make eye contact with finn and he gives me a thumbs up.

"here i go." i sigh and begin to play the guitar.

after some songs, i remember a song i learned a while ago.

it's called i was an island.

"this next one is for people who are in love. i see some couples here. i, myself, am in love. eh, who cares about that. you guys just want to hear the song." i laugh and play the beginning note.

"baby come back, i don't wanna be free." i sing the last lyric as everyone claps.

i bow, "i have to go. but, i hope you guys have a good night!" i wave goodbye at people who were listening to me.

i walk back to the table. millie pulls me into a hug. "i didn't see a window shatter." she laughs as i sit down next to her.

"you have a good voice." gaten grins as he shoves fries into his mouth.

"thanks." i take a sip of my drink.

"yeah. you do." finn blushes. "can we talk?" he asks looking at the group.

they nod and get out of the booth.

"what's up?" i ask as he sighs. "are you alright, finn?" i ask worried.

"y-yeah. just nervous." he fiddles with his fingers.

"spill the beans." i lean forward.

"i like you." he blurts out.

"i like you too." i look at him concerned.

"and, uh, i was, um. i can't do this." he gets up.

i raise an eyebrow as he runs into the bathroom. i shrug, assuming he just needs to pee.

i pull out my phone and check instagram.

i smile as i hear a door open and close.

gaten and caleb are dragging finn back to the table.

"he has to tell you something." caleb says as they run back into the bathroom.

"please finn. just tell me." i sigh.

"i, um." he looks around nervously. "i like you. you obviously knew that." he blushes. "i was wondering, uh, if you want to, um, maybe, date me." he begins to fiddle with his fingers.

my eyes widen.

he looks up and he frowns. "i know it was stupid. let's pretend i didn't ask that." he covers his face.

"yes." i mumble.

he looks at me confused. "really?"

"yeah." i smile as he sighs.

"thank god. cause if you said no, that would have been really weird." he smiles.

"i ship it!" millie jumps up from behind a fake plant, causing me to jump.
