You walked down the world of books, looking for something new to read. You adjusted your glasses on your nose bridge as you continued your journey to search for an unfamiliar and interesting title.
Several books were already stacked on your table but all of those had already been read and you still have more time to spare. As you continued heading down the aisle and scanning the titles; a certain book caught your eyes.
You took it out from the millions of other books and brought it back to your seat. After settling down, you started flipping the pages with curiosity filling up inside. The first chapter was Midnight Waltz, the second was Not All Wolves Are Bad which is about Red Riding Hood and the third was Starry Night Sky which was the enjoyable magical carpet ride of the princess Jasmine and Aladdin.
You then reached to an end when the next page had nothing written except for the title,
Chapter 4, Beauty & The Beast.
You made a noise in disappointment when there was nothing more. You flipped back to that title page and pressed your hand down onto the page. You let out a yelp when your hand actually entered the book. You quickly retreated your hand back and smacked the book back to the cover page. You looked around. Luckily, there were barely anyone in the library and those inside were busy with their own things.
You then stared back at the book again. You swallowed your saliva thickly and tried to touch the book again. This time, however, you couldn't react as the page sucked you inside.
The book flipped open until Chapter 4 and new words appeared right below the title.

You woke up in a dimly lit room where there was barely any window and the place is very cold. You turned around and observed the place. You saw a golden candelabra which you grabbed to continue walking up the stairs which you spotted. You figured that you were in a castle after closely examining the location.
You believed you heard a shocked gasp when you grabbed the candlestick. You scanned the room but it was empty and only filled with antiques.
You shrugged it off and continued heading up. The stairs creaked as your steps continued. You shivered slightly as it was colder above. As you were observing the place, you reached a big hallway where a huge portrait hanged on the wall. You stood and studied the photograph of a young man. However, you couldn't see the face properly as it was clawed by some sort of wild beast.
Your journey continued and reached to the last floor. There was a room so you knocked on the door.
"Hello?" you called out, hoping there was someone inside and that you were not inside an abandoned castle. When you didn't hear a reply, you opened the door slowly.
"I don't think it's a good idea..."
"What?" You turned around but you didn't see anyone again. Fear started spreading through your veins as you thought it was a ghost. You hurriedly entered the room and your eyes caught a sight of a beautiful glowing rose inside a jar which was on top of a table in the middle of the room.
You walked towards it and you let out a 'wow' as you admired the exquisite flower.
You were about to touch it when someone grabbed your hand. You gaped when you saw a wild beast gripping onto your wrist tightly. You screamed out loudly as you were too shocked and scared by the sight.
"Shush!" He growled and you did as you didn't want to get hurt. He questioned, "Who are you and what are you doing in my castle?"
"I...I don't know how I ended up here."
You really weren't lying but your stuttering was not convincing him enough. He pushed you away and looked at his rose. The petal of his rose once again fell onto the table which slowly withered until it became dust in the end. There were barely any petals left.
"Did you touch it?!"
You were about to answer when someone or rather something took over.
"She didn't, sir. Calm down."
You stared at the candelabra which was talking and you threw it away as you screamed in fear. The candlestick let out a painful groan but got up again.
"That was harsh," he mumbled.
The beast rolled his eyes and diverted his entire attention to you. You held your breath in as he did and you checked him out as well.
You blinked your eyes to focus clearly and you giggled softly which caused the beast to raise his eyebrow.
"What's so funny?"
You flinched upon hearing his growl but you remained your composure. Your hand reached out to pick the feather on his fur. He must've gone through dusts in this castle to have gotten that feather up on his head. Nonetheless, you found it cute.
You held it out to him as you tried to surpass your smile.
"It's a feather."
He mouthed an 'oh' and took the feather from you before he flicked it off.
"Thank you," he replied.
You blushed upon hearing his dulcet voice. It was deep but not too deep and it definitely sounded better than his growl.
"You have a wonderful voice," you blurted out your thoughts which caused the two of you to stand awkwardly inside the room.
The candelabra noticed the atmosphere and noticed the fallen rose shining brightly. He jumped onto the table and pulled the beast to the side. He mumbled a few words to the other who seemed to disagree but looked like he had no choice but to give in.
You wondered what they were saying since you couldn't hear them. You waited for them to instruct you to do something. After all, you really didn't know how to return back.
The candelabra chuckled in victory and walked towards you. You grabbed him so that he could be of your eye level.
"I'll tell you where to go so listen to my directions."
You nodded your head and did as he said. You left the room and as you were doing so, you glanced back at the beast who watched you leave. His glistening soft eyes looked pretty under the moonlight that shone on him and the rose beside.
You shifted your attention back to the candelabra who was spouting the directions as he led you to another room.
You ended up in a huge walk-in closet. The candelabra jumped off and walked out of the door. You turned and he was going to close the door, leaving you inside.
"Wait what?"
"Just relax and everything will be done. Come out when you are ready," he chirped happily and shut the door.
The moment he did, fabric started twirling around you. You gasped as you were spun around. You didn't know what was happening and it took a while for everything to be stopped. Your eyes were closed shut as you didn't want to get dizzy from the spinning. When you realised that there was no more motion, you slowly opened your eyes. You looked around and spotted a mirror.
Your eyes widened when you saw your hair decorated up in a beautiful updo and you were wearing a beautiful yellow gown. You checked yourself out and giggled happily as you loved how you look.
"Are you done, miss?"
"Oh yes," you quickly replied and headed out of the room.

You were brought to the ballroom where the huge shimmering chandelier hanged from the ceiling. Slow jazz music was being played and you believed this was the brightest room that you've seen in this castle.
You heard footsteps so you turned around. Your eyes shone when you spotted the beast under the bright light. He was neatly dressed up in a blue suit which looked perfect on him. He strode towards you and glanced at the candelabra who was beckoning him to continue.
He cleared his throat and held his big hand out to you.
"May I have this dance, my lady? It's okay if you don't want.. I mean-"
You giggled and held his hand which caught him off guard.
"It's my pleasure to have this dance."
He gave you a huge grin which disappeared immediately so you didn't notice it. The music changed. The two of you took slow steps and smoothly moved across the floor.
"You... you look gorgeous," he complimented.
"You too," you replied.
"How would I when I look like this?"
"I don't know but one shouldn't judge a book by its cover."
You saw a spark in his eyes when you said that. The two of you danced until the musical piece was over.
You stood at the balcony where the beast had brought you to after the dance. You admired the night sky filled with sparkly lights. Beside you, he was there. You turned to him and so did he. Both of you spoke at the same time and ended up bursting into laughter.
"Ladies first."
"Such a gentleman you are," you commented, "Well, I want to know if you live in this huge castle alone."
"Not really. I was cursed by a witch and everyone here were transformed into talking furnitures while I... changed to this."
You could tell from his pained expression that he didn't like his current situation. You stretched your hand out to him and cupped his face. His tension eased upon your touch and he looked at you. The two of you stared into each other's eyes and this eye contact strung your heartstrings.
You spoke, "There are many out there who are beautiful on the outside but ugly on the inside. That's now what's important. The important thing is the heart. If your heart is beautiful, you are beautiful inside out."
"You think I'm beautiful?"
"If I say yes, will you believe me?"
"No."
"But I do."
His lips curved up into a smile and you believed it was the most charming smile you'd ever seen. He held your hands in his and looked at you.
"Can I kiss you, my beauty?"
You smiled and answered, "Yes."
He pressed his lips against yours and you found yourself enthralled by the touch. His lips were chapped but it didn't bother you. In fact, it felt good and it was the best kiss you've ever had.
He pulled back after the kiss and you started feeling drowsy.
"Thank you and I hope you find this as a beautiful dream."
You didn't know what he was saying and your sight was starting to get blur. Just as your eyes were closing, you saw sparkly lights twirling around the beast. You believed you saw him change into a handsome man but your eyelids had given in and you ended up falling onto his chest.
You fell asleep while he held you in his arms.
"Now, wake up, my beauty."
••••••••••••••••••<>••••••••••••••••••
You shot up awake and looked around. You found out that you were back in the library and the book was flipped to the last page that you read. You wondered if it was really just a dream but it felt so real.
You blushed upon recalling it and was interrupted when you received a phone call. Actually, hundreds of missed calls which were from your mom. Only after reading the time from your phone, you realised that it was already late evening and you'd yet to go home.
You hurriedly kept your things and stacked the books to return them to the librarian. You held the books in your hand and quickly headed off. You still left a few on the table but you decided to just tell the librarian about it. As you were rushing, you ended up bumping into someone's chest.
You shrieked as your bum hit the ground and the books were scattered onto the floor. You started picking up the books and the other also knelt down and helped you.
Once everything was picked, the two of you stood up. He passed the books to you and you thanked him as well as apologised him.
"You don't have to apologise. I was kind of my fault too," he spoke and you recognised that voice.
You looked up and was met with those same twinkling eyes that you saw in your dreams.
"Anyways, returning these books?"
You nodded your head and realised hat he was the librarian when you saw his name tag on the shirt.
"Will we be seeing around often?" He asked as he took the books from you.
You chuckled, "Can we?"
A huge smile appeared on his face and it was the same pretty one. It was even more beautiful in real life.
"I'm Kim Namjoon! It's nice to meet you."
One of the books you had left on the table was the Fairytale book. New words appeared on the page where you'd left opened.
It stated underneath,
