Healing & Loving | {M.YG} (PS Special)
Yoongi halted in his steps when he spotted the person that he had been searching for. The moment he received a phone call, he had immediately rushed out of his house and ran to meet the other.
There she sat on the swing in the middle of the park where they had spent a lot of memorable moments together. It was early in the morning and the sun wasn't m even up yet but Yoongi didn't mind heading out at two in the morning for her.
"What happened, Lyn?"
The said lady looked up at Yoongi and smiled weakly.
"You are such an idiot for coming, Yoongi."
The way her voice cracked caused Yoongi's heart to ache. She still seemed to be slightly drunk and Yoongi knew she had been holding those tears in. He knew how hard it must've been.
Yoongi squatted down in front of her and tried to make her relax by rubbing his thumb over her hand.
"I'm sorry, Lyn," he got up and hugged her warmly. "Just let it all out and you will feel better."
It was like a miracle but Lyn always felt better when Yoongi was there for her. He was the last person she wanted to call but also the first person in her mind. She closed her eyes and let the tears roll down. She would end up regretting in the morning when she wake up with puffy eyes but like Yoongi said, she did feel better.

Yoongi didn't need to see the person to know who knocked the door. Lyn came in with a sheepish grin. It was evening by then and Yoongi knew she had done nothing but slept the entire day.
She settled down on the chair and accepted the warm coffee that Yoongi had made for her. He sat down with his own cup and looked at Lyn. She looked pretty worn out but better than previous night.
"Feeling better?"
"Yeah. Just a bit of headache left."
"That's what you get for wailing over an idiot."
"You are that idiot."
Yoongi cleared his throat when she raised her eyebrow.
He sighed sighed, "Fine. You got a point there."
She smirked in victory and took a sip of her drink.
"So, what brought you here?" he asked, not that he was curious or anything. He just wanted to talk to her whenever he could, even if it was the dumbest thing.
"I can't visit you without a reason?"
Yoongi folded his arms and leaned back into his chair. He gave her an unamused look.
"Just to remind you. You are at my workplace. I'm a very busy man and I don't have time for you if it's not important."
Yoongi wasn't lying. He worked as a market analyst and had several reports to complete each day. Also, he wasn't lying when he said he didn't have time for anything unimportant because everything about Lyn was important. That was the reason why he would drop everything and rather get scolded than not being there for her when she needed, even if it was just to listen to her complain about the humongous headache she received from preparing slides for her lectures over a cup of coffee.
"I just wanted to stay up here and appreciate the coziness this office gives off."
"Are you seriously that free?"
"Yeah?"
Yoongi immediately regretted for even thinking of asking that question. She worked on weekends which made her free during the weekdays when people actually worked. There were ups and downs of her job but Yoongi actually loved it. She often stayed in his office and prepared slides which meant that he got to spend more time with her. Used to.
"Suit yourself but don't disturb me. I need to finish my reports."
Lyn hummed and Yoongi picked up how the tune was slightly lower than her usual hum. He glanced at the time and cleared his throat as he closed the file that he actually managed to open a few seconds ago.
"I'm hungry. Let's go eat dinner."
"But you have things to do and work hasn't end yet."
"I will have to go through these at home anyways. Nothing wrong with leaving work early so let's go," he hurried her as he grabbed her hand to stand on her two feet and pushed her back slightly to leave.

The two of them arrived at the restaurant and the waitress didn't need to pass them the menu. She straightaway went to the counter to order their food. It showed how many times they had been there.
"Why do you always choose this shop when you can't even handle spicy food?"
"You like this shop, don't you? So, stop complaining. It's never wrong to challenge oneself to try spicy food."
"That's what you always say and you end up walking out of the store with red lips and tears."
"Are you going to start dissing me now?"
"Alright, I'll stop here but you are still paying for the meal."
"Had I never?"
"There was once when you pretended to forget your wallet and-"
"Okay, you win."
Lyn giggled and Yoongi just shook his head with a small smile appearing on his face.
The food was soon served and the two started to eat. Yoongi made sure to get his cup of water ready so that he could cool his poor tongue down on time. He watched Lyn ate her food.
"You are going to hurt yourself if you kept doing that," Lyn reminded.
"Doing what?"
"Looking at me with those eyes."
"Lyn..."
"Don't. Not over the meal," she stopped him and Yoongi let out a sigh. He dropped the topic like she said and ate the meal without conversing.
••••••••••••••••••<>••••••••••••••••••
"So, what was the real reason for dropping by today, Lyn?"
The two had been walking back to Lyn's house after their meal together. It was halfway when Yoongi decided to break the silence that had been present since back then.
"I don't know. Why don't you tell me?"
"You can't keep asking me that question, Lyn. I'm not a mind reader or something."
"But you do, Yoongi. You knew me well like how I knew you well. We were like mirrors and our thoughts were readable."
"Lyn, I don't want to get my hopes high. I know we fought over something childish and I totally regretted for venting out my anger on you. But I really love you, Lyn. I can't live on another way without you. I felt so suffocated and dead without you. I need you back in my life."
"I can't forgive you yet, Yoongi."
"I know... I know about that and I know I'm being selfish. Great. Why did I even thought of the possibility of getting back together?"
"But I'm willing to give you another chance."
"What?"
Lyn smiled softly and Yoongi knew that smile. She was being sincere. She was giving him another chance and he would risk everything to grab it.
"Thank you so much, Lyn."
"Don't make me regret it, Yoongi. You know how much I love you just like how I know how much you loved me."
"Of course, Lyn. I promise you from the bottom of my heart that I won't make the same mistake again because I can't afford to lose you twice."
And Yoongi sure did keep his promise because years later, they were happily married with two kids and only laughters filling the household.
