To put it bluntly, this book is great.

It follows a boy named Sam, who is a 'mutant' and his adventures when he is imprisoned in the Foundation, a prison for mutants.

The plot is very intense and interesting, and I love the idea of it! The designs and concepts for the mutants are super unique.

I have a couple gripes, however:

1. Sam has stone skin on his face, but none of the other kids noticed this? Did I miss something or is this not noticeable on the face?

2. Also, the characters are referred to with numbers, which gets confusing fast, especially when you introduce them in such large amounts at one time. Usually, books where characters have numbers are given nicknames to make them distinct.

3. There are several spelling and grammatical errors.

Despite these flaws, I really, really love this book. It's very very exciting and I can't wait for it to be finished.
