Meat pie
INGREDIENTS:
Minced meat 300g
Diced green pepper
Diced potatoes
Diced carrots
Garlic 1and half table spoon
Salt to taste
Egg 1piece
Water 200m
Onion 1bulb
Thyme pinch
Seasoning to taste
Meg 1teaspoon
Curry 1teaspoon
White pepper 1and half teaspoon
Black pepper pinch
Veg.oil 3table spoon
METHOD:
Peel,dice and wash the potatoes,carrots,green pepper and onion
Place a saucepan on fire, then add the veg.oil and sweat the onion
Add the minced meat, season and spice then stir,add water,potatoes and allow to cook well
Add the sliced carrots and allow to cook well
Add diced green pepper,season and a little batter
Remove from heat and allow to cool
Roll out the short crust pastry and cut into even sizes using a meat pie cutter
Place on the meat pie cutter, egg-wet the edges,then place some filling in the center and add the cover with the other side to form a half moon
Place on a greased baking tray,egg wash and bake in a moderate hot oven or oil till cooked and golden brown in colour
Remove from the oil or oven and serve as a snack
