Chapter Eight

When I wake up,my hand searches the phone and sleepy,I open it and groan at the bright light. I rub my eyes slightly and when I see how many times Ruby called me,I gasp. 30 calls? She must have freaked out. I see I have some messages and I start reading them.

Ruby: Em,where are you?

Ruby: Did you get home safe?

Ruby: Where have you gone?

Ruby: Are you OK? Why don't you pick up your phone?

Ruby: Emma,please answer. I'm losing my mind.

Ruby: I am at the cafeteria . If you're hungry,come down. I'll wait here.

And I see I have a message from Regina too and I frown,looking at it.

Regina: Look who I found in the cafeteria. Romance happening soon. #ISHIPIT

Wow,I see my best friend found her special one after so long. She always complained that she didn't find anyone. I decide to call Ruby and see if she's still in the cafeteria.

"Emma,thank God you're calling. I thought something happened to you." She says,immediately after picking her phone.

"I was sleeping,Red. Are you still at the cafeteria?" I ask her,grinning,but she can't see that.

"Yeah,wanna come?" She asks and I smirk,giggling.

"Aren't you busy now?" I ask and she doesn't respond for a while,not knowing what I meant,but she soon realizes that I know something.

"God,I sometimes hate Regina." She says and I laugh.

"I'm coming now,wait for me." I say as I change my clothes and run downstairs. When I get inside,I find Ruby with the guy from the video Regina sent me. He was kinda cute and they fit well together.

"Emma." She says,hugging me and I hug her too when I get to their booth. "This is Whale,Whale,Emma,my best friend." She introduces us and I smile at both of them,shaking Whale's hand. When he's not looking,I give Ruby the approving look and she silently squelled. I chuckle and we eat as I get to know Whale better.

"So,what are you studying,Whale?" I ask him and he smiles at Ruby and then turns to me.

"Medicine." He says and I stay there,baffled and surprised at the same time.

"Wow,that's...impressive." I find the right word and Whale chuckles.

"Yeah,I know it's big,but I love science. I heard Ruby is in for fashion design?" He asks and I nod,giggling. Ruby gives me a killing gaze and I stop,coughing.

"Yeah,she is and I'm in for English and Literature." I say and he smiles. Then Snow and Regina come to our booth,both grinning,but Ruby pushes them without Whale noticing. I almost burst into laugh,but I hold it in.

"Good to meet you,girls. But if you'll excuse me,I have an important exam tomorrow." He says and Ruby follows him outside as he goes and comes back soon.

"Ruby,that's amazing." I say,holding her in my arms. "You finally found someone special." I whisper and she laughs.

"I can't believe it either,Emma." She says,with the biggest smile I've ever seen at her.

"How did you two meet?" I ask and she turns red,as Regina starts laughing.

"It's quite a story. You can name it love at first sight." They both start saying how Ruby bumped into him and started talking and having dinner together 'til the point I got there.

"OMG, look at the clock,I need to get back to bed." I say after I notice I stayed in the cafeteria for more than three hours.

"Okay,Em,see you tomorrow." They all say and hug me. When I get upstairs,I get a new message from Regina.

Regina: Do you want to see any other ship material?

I grin and answer positive immediately and before I realize it,a lot of pictures with Whale and Ruby appear on my phone.

Regina:

Emma: How the hell did you do that? They only met a few hours ago.

Regina: I had to wait three hours. I got bored,so I started making photos of Whale and searched for photos with Ruby in my phone and made that manip.

Emma: You're insane sometimes,Regina.

Regina: I am the captain of this ship. You can't stop me. I saw it first.

Emma: Ok,you sail this ship, I sail your ship with Robin.

Regina: Don't you dare.

Emma: I did it already.

*And another billion photos with them*

Regina: You're afwul,you know that?

Emma: Get used to it. 😂😂

I sigh and throw the phone on the cardboard,tired as I change into something more comfy. When I throw myself on the bed and start the TV,Killian gets inside and his face lights up seeing me.

"Emma,here you are." He says,laying on the couch and I turn to him,but still looking at the TV. He scoffs as his eyes look at the big amount of movies scrolled down on Netflix.

"Nothing interesting. Do you have anything else in mind?" He asks and I frown at him,getting a book from the table and putting in in front of me,on the bed and tapping it.

"Homework?" I say and how I expected,Killian scoffed. I frown at him and he chuckles,standing up and going to a corner.

"I have something more fun on my mind." He says,coming up with a notebook and his guitar,laying down and starting writing some songs down.

"You know,I never heard you sing." I say to him as he hummed a few lyrics in a low voice.

"Huh?" He asks confused and I repeat the phrase I just said.

"Yeah,OK, do you want me to sing you now?" He asks and I nod,laying on my belly with the hands on my chin and looking up at him,with my feet in the air. ,,Let me sing you this."

He starts with a few notes,tuning the guitar and then,I hear a clear song line and I try to listen for more. He starts slowly, in a low rhythm and I swing my head in the air.

The rhythym Killian's hands move on the guitar raises as he starts the next lyrics without a breath. I wonder how talented this man can be,and my eyes widen in surprise at his strong but sweet voice.

The moon is the only friend
I have outside
One more drink and I'll be healed
I told you the words and then knew it was a lie
I wish I could offer an appeal

And then,the song became faster and faster,the beats giving me chills and I just stayed there baffled and waiting for more.

The passion Killian was puting in singing it,raising the high notes so delicate and accurate and I couldn't focus on anything but the sound of his voice and the way his hands were moving on the chords.

Killian slowed down,surprising me even more. I knew with sadness that the song was getting to an end.

So I'll put this cigarette to bed

When he finished I applaused him and he smiled with his signature smile but somehow,I didn't find it flirty or full of tease. It was an honest smile,something coming from inside of him. I loved the moments we were like this,just hanging and not teasing each other. But that's him,the man with two sides. The different possibilities I have to live with. As long as we have moments like this,everything will be perfect.

"How was it?" He asks and I mutter a 'Mhmm...' trying to look like I thought about an answer. It was totally stunning,but his ego was big as it was.

"It was good,I guess." I simply say,raising my shoulders and rolling around,ending with my head on the pillow.

"Goodnight,Swan." He says as he closed the light and got to bed.

"Goodnight,Killian." I say whispering as I could feel my eyes slowly closing.

"Let me sing you out of this."

Eight is my lucky number and my birthday also. ( I 'm so excited,since my birthday is in almost a month) ,so I tried to make this chapter as special as I could. Hope you like the FrankenWolf (still so bitter over this two) and OutlawQueen ( and these two) ,so you can call this a tribute to this ships that sinked so afwully.
Hope you liked Killian singing and maybe you imagined him doing that,since Colin singed before. Remember that time when JMo danced on the song he was singing just to make him feel less uncomfortable? It was adorable.
