Welp this'll be fun to explain.
You're about to explain...but...It's probably not a good idea to stay in the dining room for much longer..Someone might walk in without you noticing.
So relocating seems like a good idea, seeing as this might end up becoming a lengthy conversation.

"This might take awhile, you mind if we head back to my room?"

The little pinpricks in his eye sockets dart to the side in a contemplative way as he mulls it over for a brief minute before responding.

"Alright."

You awkwardly extend your hand out to him and his little skeletal hand makes contact with yours and he not very elegantly climbs onto it as you try to keep your hand steady.
Once he's as secure as he can be, you sneak him over to your room, and set him down gently in his space.

As his feet touch the ground and he is standing in his space, you retract your hand.
It doesn't take long for him to find a spot to sit and proceed to stare at you expectantly with those adorable little pinpricks in his eye sockets.

Right, that explanation...

"So uh...therapy salts are salts that give off therapeutic aromas and you put them in your bath water...they are supposed to be relaxing and stuff..."

You probably should've answered his other question first, but 'spooky season' feels like it'll be more complicated to explain.

"And Spooky season is really just another term for the season of Autumn..it's just called spooky season because Halloween (the spooky holiday) takes place within the season."

"Ok so when humans die the skeleton inside them is left behind, so skeletons are associated with death. Death is scary to some people so it classifies as something spooky. Also normally skeletons are seen as an inside so they typically aren't sexualized.....Some people are also afraid of undead corpses, and ghosts of humans who haunt places..so they also classify as spooky.....does that help?"

At first based off what you said I assumed the monsters were freed in this world...and that you've met a sans....that makes the most sense...but then I'd have to assume you have some type of close relationship with a Sans for him to tell you about such things...
The only other explanation would be that...but that would mean...
