THAT NIGHT THE MOON was full and high in the sky by the time the two had buttoned their shirts and finally made their way down to the streets to mix with the others looking for a fun time out in the city.

"so how many times have you been to the usan?" namjoon asked once they were close to the hotel and noticing the change in individuals around them. casual clothing turned into fancy designer handbags and silk shirts over muscled torsos.

jungkook kept his gaze steady and sense sharpened as they neared the grand building. "enough." was all he said, noticing how things did seem to be different this night.

the fountains outside had color added to them, drawing more attention to the display and show as water shot into the sky and rained back down. there were more cars are the valet, woman had on long dresses and stayed attached to a mans arm as they walked up the stairs to disappear in a sea of bodies and alcohol.

namjoon and jungkook definitely fit in, dressed to blend and hair styled up to expose forehead, well one followed that idea. the raventte left his hair looking messy as usual, long and sometimes needing to be tucked behind his ears to avoid tickling his jaw.

"so we check for security, count cameras, remember faces to see if they switch positions, and any rooms or spots not accessible." namjoon read off their tasks from the list he composed in his mind.

jungkook nodded and ran his tongue over his lips to wet them, seeing the increased security at the doors with wires in their ears and eyes on everyone walking up. they wouldn't stand out, but it was better to keep a low profile and avoid being spotted when they could.

a few options ran through his mind as they crossed the road and towards the stairs. jungkook cleared his throat and took a deep breath, and almost with the luck that he seemed to be gifted with — a woman, very beautiful, dropped her clutch and gasped at her own clumsiness.

"here you go," he acted quickly, reaching down for the sparkly clutch and handing it back to the young woman. jungkook smiled with all the charm he was graced with and briefly glanced down her body in that red dress. "you look beautiful tonight, enjoy." he said, motioning with his hand for her to go first through the doors to the lobby.

"oh, thank you." she replied softly, cheeks almost matching the color of her dress and namjoon just rolled his eyes beside him.

the little distraction got them through without much notice, jungkook had bent down to pick it up as he passed a guard and namjoon adjusted his glasses to somewhat obscure his face. it was a little lame, nothing to worry about, but pulling a few jobs made every little things seem like a possible threat.

"wow." namjoon said, looking around the lobby and it's tall arching ceiling with various chandeliers hanging high above them.

"mhm." jungkook hummed in agreement, he's been here a few times already, but each time it didn't make sense to him why some people felt the need to have so much unnecessary luxuries. one of those people haven't made an appearance yet, there wasn't a familiar mop of brown curls at the bar from what he could tell, and there was a lack of giggles and smiles from the same boy.

"are you looking for someone?" namjoon noticed the way the younger was acting a little off, a distance to his gaze that wasn't usually there on the good days.

jungkook just shook his head slightly, "nope. let's get a drink." he walked off towards the left, following a steady stream of others to see the art and grab a glass of champagne from a worker striding by.

his friend followed close behind and grabbed a glass from a man walking back holding a tray of numerous ones. "not bad." namjoon said quietly after taking a sip. "so what's the deal."

"there's some jazz band here." jungkook said with a bored tone. "apparently rich people like the sound of that with their bubbly."

"i prefer something more classical." a voice cut in, one that was familiar but missed by the oldest of the three.

jungkook turned and rose an eyebrow, the twitch of his lips gave away the hint of a smile and enjoying the sudden presence of the brunette. "chopin." taehyung said, clarifying the name of the musician he enjoyed.

"you seem like the classical type." the ravenette said, eyes glancing down to see what the other boy was wearing tonight. he looked good as usual, not a surprise.

"you seem like pinot meunière type." taehyung countered, holding a second glass in his hand for the ravenette to take.

namjoon cut in with a light laugh, "he's more of a pitcher of beer type." he said, making the pretty boy giggle quietly.

"i can see that too." taehyung said. he glanced up at jungkook and realized the boy never looked away, that heavy gaze still on his face that made taehyung feel like he was looking through him and could read everything on his mind — and that would be dangerous, because jungkook looked really good tonight, and taehyung wanted to taste the champagne on his tongue.

"i'm going to use the restroom, excuse me." namjoon said politely and stepped away, that was always code for checking blind spots. surveillance was prohibited in public restrooms so it was the most likely area to have a blind spot entering and leaving.

"you like jazz?" taehyung asked once the third boy had left them alone – well as alone as they could be among a semi-crowded museum.

the quieter boy placed his hand at the small of taehyungs back, guiding him along so they could talk while walking. "not particularly." jungkook said, the sound was playing softly through the rooms while the live band was in the room with the bar. it was quieter hear so the two could talk better.

"it's alright." taehyung said, taking a sip of his drink and trying not to think too much of the hand on his back. "i like it when i want to fall asleep."

jungkook chuckled at that and noticed how it made the smaller boy smile at the sound. "well that's why it's excellent party music. i understand completely now."

it was the most emotion and non-coldness taehyung has ever heard in the boys voice. jungkook didn't usually use sarcasm or humor around him, despite only knowing each other for a little while. the brunette still smiled at the remark and enjoyed the way jungkook seemed more comfortable tonight. "so if you don't like jazz music, what brings you here?" he asked. a part of him wanted a certain answer, he wanted the boy to tell him he wanted to see him – that taehyung was the reason he left his home to find him here amongst all these people.

"i think i like something else." jungkook kept it vague, but he glanced over at the smaller boy to see him looking up expectantly, a little smile was on those full pink lips.

"the art?" taehyung teased, feeling a stir in his stomach from the seed of hope that jungkooks words planted.

the younger played along, his hand didn't leave the boys back, only traveling to rest on his hip. "nope." jungkook sipped his champagne.

"the drinks?" taehyung tried again, holding up his glass and smiling, he liked this – the playfulness they were having together. it didn't even feel like there were other people around them.

"i think you know," jungkook said, his thumb rubbing back and forth gently over taehyungs hipbone. his silk shirt was very soft and the ravenette was holding back from touching it all. "let's take a walk."
