Chapter Ten: Back In Business Baby
"Can you get through to him?" Rip asked and I looked up from tinkering with my mask.
"Huh?" I asked.
"Rory, he won't listen to me. Can you get through to him?" he repeated and I shrugged.
"Dunno. You heard him, he wants to kill us all." I said and went back to my mask. I was rewiring the faces to be more defined and giving the voice modifier a slightly cooler sound.
"Cassie, you were the one person on this ship that never..." Rip paused, "Never treated him like he wasn't human." he said and I paused, "I know he thinks differently of you than everyone else. Just talk to him. Try to get him to help us. Please." Rip said and I nodded. I put my mask down and stood up, walking past Rip and to Mick's cell.
When I walked in the room, Mick immediately spoke.
"Come to try to talk me into it agai-" he stopped, seeing me, "No. Why are you here?" he asked and I sighed.
"We could use your help." I said, standing in front of him.
"Huh." he said and stood up, walking to the door, "That's exactly what Rip said." he said and I raised an eyebrow.
"Do I look like Rip Hunter?" I asked and he stared at me.
"Either way, I'm not helping." he said and I nodded.
"If I let you out of this cell right now, would you kill me?" I asked, taking a step towards the cell. Now it was his turn to raise an eyebrow.
"No." he said slowly, "I'd kill all your friends first." he said and I could tell it was the truth. I nodded and backed up, leaving, stopping by the door.
"I was the one person that never treated you like an animal." I said, not turning to face him.
"Maybe you should have." he said and I let out a short, dry laugh.
"Have fun in your cage, Mick." I said. With that, I left.

I was wearing wool. Sheep clothes. And not just one wool shirt, no sir. I was wearing a wool turtle neck, wool pants, a woolen jacket and a wool belt. I was surprised my shoes weren't wool. Rip let me wear my mask in public, surprisingly.
"The future, it's... Fascinating." Stein said as Sara said, "Astonishing." and I said, "Enthralling."
"Well it was going to be one of the three." I said and shrugged.
"Actually, I was going to say "Remarkable"." Stein said, done with us and I grinned.
"Isn't it?" Rip asked, "2147 was considered the world's zenith. All of these people have five good years to look forward to." he finished.
"Before what?" Snart asked from beside me. We were both standing in the back, Sara, Jax, Ray, and Stein in the middle, and Rip in the very front. Kendra wasn't there at all, which made me wonder. All I hoped is that she wouldn't do anything stupid to Mick while on the ship.
"Before a ruthless dictator named Per Degaton comes to power, releases the Armageddon Virus, and most of them end up dead." Rip answered and I couldn't help but frown.
"Well, that's depressing." Sara said and I nodded. I heard a noise, almost like a whizzing and looked up. There I saw something that looked like Ray's Atom suit and furrowed my eyebrows. Two more followed it.
"Is that my suit?" Ray asked in befuddlement, "That's my suit."
A woman shouted as a man ran away with a purse. Wow. That still happens? One of the Atom suits shot a red blast at the man, knocking him off his feel as he fell to the ground. The suits landed around the robber.
"You have been identified as violating Ordinance 12." they spoke in robotic voices. The scary thing was there was no body in the suits, they were just suits.
"That is how Per Degaton's father, Tor, maintains order in Kasnia." Rip explained as we stared at the scene.
"Doesn't look like progress to me." Snart said what everyone was thinking.
"Speaking of progress, we need to get a better lay of the land." Rip said, looking around.
"And I need to get a better look at how they made my suit autonomous." Ray said. Rip hummed in response.
"Well, why don't you take Martin and Jax with you? Ms. Lance, Mr. Snart, Ms. Carlisle and I will work on locating Savage." Rip suggested and we split up. It wasn't long after leaving that I saw a billboard on the wall of a building, with a very familiar mask on it. I gasped and elbowed Snart, who looked in the direction I was looking. It was my mask. I saw in the very bottom of the Billboard "created by Smoak Technologies" and glared.
"Always taking the credit for herself. I was the one who showed her how to wire one." I muttered and crossed my arms. It must've become a thing a long time ago, but they'd probably been upgrading it since then. It was then that I realized I'd seen a few people wearing them, it just didn't click with me then.
We walked into a nice and clean looking building and I looked around. It was a large building and everyone here looked nice. No one gave me second glances, I fit just like a puzzle piece, which made me smile.
"Tor Degaton holds daily meetings with his board of directors." Rip said, explaining why we were there.
"And it's open to the public?" Sara asked as I looked around in awe. Everything looked so futuristic. Duh Cass. It's the future.
I mentally face palmed myself. For the fiftieth time. This month. Whatever month it was.
"Course not." Rip said as if Sara had said the dumbest thing ever, "Just Kasnia's shareholders." he said and I looked at him.
"Rip, I don't know if you noticed or not, but we aren't shareholders." I said, now acting like he was the stupid one.
"I'm more of a hard asset man, myself." Snart said and Rip turned to us, holding up a contacts case. He opened it and put in one of the contacts before turning back around. The eye that had the contact was scanned by some sort of tech that the guard had. He checked it before looking back at Rip.
"You're free to attend." he said and Rip nodded, "They'll have to wait outside."
"Oh, no, this is my accountant, and these are my are my personal assist-bodyguards." Rip argued, trying to get us to come in too.
"Stockholders only." the guard said. Rip cleared his throat and turned back to us, raised his eyebrows, and left. Sara, Snart, and I looked at each other and walked away.
101
"He's a teacher." Sara said. Rip had explained to us that Savage had been at the meeting and then met up with Per Degaton and had a lovely chat with him.
"Tutor, it would seem, to young Per Degaton himself." Rip said, pacing from Sara to in front of Kendra.
"You say that like it's supposed to mean something." Snart said from his seat by Rip's desk. Rip turned back to him.
"After the death of his father in five years time, Per Degaton unleashes the Armageddon Virus, which decimates the world's population, leaving it ripe for conquest." Rip said and I raised an eyebrow, wondering where he was getting at, "Per Degaton primes the world for dictatorship, and then when the time is right... Savage snatches that power away from him."
"So basically, Savage teaches the kid, uses the kid, then kills the kid when he's not a kid?" I asked and he pointed at me as if telling me I got right.
"Indeed."
"Okay, so we don't have what we need to take out Savage, but maybe now we can figure out a way to stop his rise to power." Kendra said.
"By depriving him of his Springboard, Per Degaton." Rip said and I nodded.
"Okay, how do we do that?" Sara asked.
"I say we kill the kid." I said bluntly and they all looked at me, Sara and Kendra looked taken aback. I looked at them all and my eyes widened slightly as I shrugged, "What? It's not like none of us have never killed before and he'll be killed in the future anyways. It's either kill him or drop him off in the future or past." I defended myself and Rip shook his head.
"Can't do the second one, too many time anomalies." he said.
"And you're just on board with killing him?" Kendra asked.
101
"To be clear, we're talking about murdering a child..." Stein said angrily trailing off.
"Who hasn't done anything to anyone." Jax finished the sentence.
"Yet." I fully finished. Rip had called a team meeting, and him, Snart, and I were the only one's who were okay with killing him.
"So why don't we pick him off now, while the picking's easy?" Snart asked, smirking. He was enjoying this way too much, it was obvious.
"There's got to be a better way." Kendra said and I shrugged.
"Got any better ideas, hawk chick?" I asked and she looked at me.
"How do we even know that this Per Degaton kid's path to becoming a world-ruling dictator is inevitable?" Ray asked.
"Have you ever watched Doctor Who?" I asked, turning my attention to him.
"Yeah, we watched it together one night rememb-"
"Not my point." I rolled my eyes. He was adorkable.
"We know because in the future that I'm from, children learn about Per Degaton in the same way that children in your time learn about Adolf Hitler." Rip said.
"And let's not forget about fixed points in time. The universe wants to happen, remember Rip?" I asked and he nodded.
"What about addressing the larger societal problems that would allow such a despot's rise to power?" Stein asked, to which I raised an eyebrow at him.
"We already know what pushes this punk to the dark side: Savage." Snart sneered (I love saying Snart sneered, it's so fun).
"Look, it's not the kid's fault he's got an immortal psychopath as his tutor." Jax said.
"But it is his fault that he obeys his every command. It's not like he's mind controlled, he does it cause he wants to." I argued, knowing there was little to no argument to my words.
"If we don't kill the kid now, Savage will as soon as he's done using him to take over the world." Snart said, just restating what we already knew.
"If he doesn't build him into the greatest tyrant the world has ever known, Savage can't become the last tyrant the world will ever know." Rip said quietly. Ray let out a sigh.
"Look guys, I know it's a tough decision, but it's not like we have much of another choice other than letting him destroy the world, our homes." I tried to convince them.
"Murdering a child in cold blood just like Savage murdered your own son. What's the use in saving the world if we stoop to his method to do so?" Stein asked and I sighed. He had a good point.
"At least the death of Per Degaton wouldn't be in vain." I said quietly, but now even I began to question whether this was the right thing to do, "Either way we need to find the kid and bring him somewhere Savage isn't. We can cross the bridge of whether to kill him or not when we get there.
"Great, we've gone from infanticide to child abduction. Progress." Ray said. I rolled my eyes.
"First we need to devise how to abduct him from underneath the noses of his father's private guard." Rip said and I picked up my mask from the computer table.
"And don't forget the army of Atom robots." Ray said.
"My mask is being sold in stores." I said happy with my invention. They all gave me a confused glance and my smile dropped, "Oh, I thought we were talking about our successes. No? I'll just..." I rambled, trailing off as I backed up from the table, "Stay back here."
"Anyways," Rip began, changing the subject from my embarrassment, "we're going to need an accomplished thief." He glanced at Snart.
"Well, while you're kidnapping baby Hitler, Professor Stein and I will sabotage the robot army." Ray looked at Stein, who nodded at him.
"I call Team Robot Army." Jax said, obviously not wanting to take part in a child abduction. I couldn't really blame him.
"Isn't that a waste of time?" Sara asked, shrugging.
"Not for the Kasnian citizens, who are tormented by my technology." Ray answered. He sounded like he felt bad for creating the Atom suit.
"That technology does lead to Savage's rise to power. Good backup plan." Rip added.
"Fine, Team Kidnapping." Sara chose, raising her hand slightly and I raised my hand high over my head.
"Team Kidnapping!" I exclaimed and once again the whole team looked at me, "Sorry, staying quiet now." I said, dropping my head and backing up another step.
"Go Team." Rip said, balling his hand into a fist.

"No litter. No street crime. No smog. How soon can we leave?" Snart asked, standing by a bench beside me. Sara was on a building with a sniper rifle and Rip was waiting to switch places with one of Per Degaton's guards.
"Keep your eyes peeled. According to Gideon, Per Degaton should be passing through any minute on his way to gymnastics class." Sara said through the comm.s. I slowly reached for Snart's hand, entangling our fingers as I looked at him from the corner of my eyes. He didn't look at me, still looking for the kid, but squeezed my hand gently.
"Are you telling me future Hitler is enrolled in a gymnastics class?" he asked in disbelief and I smiled slightly, containing a snort or giggle or whatever kind of laugh wanted to leave my lips today.
We sat down on the bench and he let go of my hand to reach into his pocket, pulling out a pair of clear glasses, showing me as if bragging before putting them on.
"Yes." he dragged out and I couldn't help but giggle. So it's a giggle today.
"Those are neat. Where'd you get them?" I asked and he smirked.
"Our faithful Captain gave them to me as a gift." he answered, looking for Per Degaton. I looked to where he was looking to see a group of guards turning a corner, surrounding a young boy. It was easy to guess that he was Per Degaton, "I got eyes on Little Lord Fauntleroy."
"I don't see him." Sara said.
"It's because he's surrounded by Daddy's goon squad. Northeast corner of the plaza." Snart said, giving Sara a location.
"Got him."
"You sure you don't want to just shoot him? It's be a whole lot easier." Snart said and I rolled my eyes, nudging him with my elbow. He just grinned at me.
"Stick to the plan, all of you." Rip said, finally appearing on the comm.s. The guards turned another corner and I felt someone's hand take mine, looking down to see Snart's hand. I looked back up, smiling, "Now, Ms. Lance."
Sara shot at a guard that had been trailing slightly behind, he fell to the ground and Rip immediately took his place.
"I'm in position." Rip said and my smile grew. All was going according to plan, for now.
"Make the plan, execute the plan, expect the plan to go off the rails... Throw away the plan." I said and Snart looked at me, raising an eyebrow.
"That's smart." he said and I smiled.
"Thank you." I said.
"Stop flirting, guys." I heard Sara and rolled my eyes.
"We weren't flirting." I muttered and Snart smirked.
"It's up to you now, Mr. Snart, Ms. Carlisle." Rip said as the guards began walking up to our bench. Snart let go of my hand to hide his cold gun, staring at the ground. When they got close enough, we both stood up and he began shooting at them. I formed my sledgehammer and immediately ran at a guard, swinging low and knocking him off of his feet. Most of the guards hid immediately, including Rip and the kid, who were now hiding behind a stone wall. I saw a bright light come from behind the wall and smiled. The plan hadn't gone off the rails.
Yet.

"What do you mean, "it did nothing"?" I asked, looking at Rip in confusion.
"I mean, that kidnapping Per Degaton had a nominal effect upon the timeline." Rip said exasperated and I rubbed the back of my neck, trying to think of an idea.
"Maybe we just need to dump the little brat somewhere he can't get to any trouble, like the Stone Age." Snart said and I nodded, pointing at him.
"Stone Age, that's a good idea, I'm in it for Stone Age dumping." I said quickly.
"No matter where and when you sequester him in the timeline, Savage will still rise to power." Gideon said and I knitted my eyebrows together in confusion.
"But Rip said this kid's like a baby Hitler." Jax asked, just as confused as me.
"Yes, I also said that time wants to happen, and such a world-changing event like Savage's rise to power can't be stopped merely by kidnapping his young pawn." Rip said and suddenly something hit me and I turned to Ray, eyes wide as I clapped and threw my hands up in the air.
"Fixed point, like the Doctor's death in the Impossible Astronaut." I said, again using Doctor who as an example, "Remember, when River didn't kill the Doctor, time went all wibbly wobbly woppy stoppy. So if we can't stop the rise to power by just stopping it, we have to do what the Doctor would do." I said and Ray looked at me in confusion.
"You mean we have to shrink ourselves down in robots of ourselves?" he asked and I rolled my eyes.
"No, you dork, we have to avoid our own death, or in this case, avoid the rise to power." I said and Rip looked at me.
"How do you suggest we do that?" he asked and I stopped.
"Well, let's just say the Doctor wouldn't like the idea." I said quietly.
"So we're back to plan A." Snart said and I nodded.
"Snuffing the kid out in his sleep?" Sara asked, not wanting to kill an "innocent" child.
"Let us not forget that this kid will one day be responsible for billions of deaths, including those of my family." Rip said and I sighed, crossing my arms. This dispute again.
"Say that you do stop Savage and save the lives of your family. Will you be able to look your own son in the eye knowing what you did so he could live?" Stein asked and I looked down at my feet, suddenly finding them very interesting.
"When the alternative is that I shall never see him again."
"I have an idea." I said and they turned their attention to me, "Why don't we just talk to him? Make sure he knows where he is if he trust Savage in the future; dead."
"Savage has spent years corrupting his mind." Rip said and I looked up at him.
"And the Time Masters have spent lifetimes corrupting Mick's." I said and he looked at me, not saying a word.
"It's not too late for Per Degaton to change." Sara said, backing me up.
"Says who?" Rip asked, glancing at her.
"Says someone with two tours with the League Of Assassins and a case of blood lust under her belt." Sara replied, telling nothing but the truth. Sara then walked off and I followed.
"Men do nothing but argue." I complained once we were out of the room. She smiled slightly.
"Tell me about it." she said and I smiled.
101
Sara had walked into the room with Mick's cell, she offered for me to come in, but I refused. Soon she walked back out and I was sitting against the wall, having a nice chat with myself in my head.
"If you want to talk to him, he's not really in a mood for visitors." she said as I stood up and I rolled my eyes.
"When is he ever?" I asked and formed a piece sign, walking into the room.
"You too, huh?" he asked, looking at me, "You gonna ask me for advice on killing a kid too?"
"Nope." I answered, popping the p. I walked up to the front once again, leaning on the doors, "Although I do have a question, maybe two." I said and he raised an eyebrow.
"Okay, what is it?" he asked and I looked to the floor.
"Did they help you at all?" I asked and he looked more confused than before.
"Who?" he asked.
"The Time Masters. And don't-don't you dare say they saved you're life because you and I both know Snart or I would've come back for you given the chance." I said and he stood up from his seat.
"Really?" he asked and I nodded as he walked up to me, the only thing separating us was the glass, "You and I both know that's a lie, Cassie." I froze. I never told him my name, he just knew it.
"You..." I trailed off, anger boiling up inside me before I slammed my fist down on the glass, "You owe me, Mick. Stop being the absolutely terrible human being that I know you aren't. You owe me that much!" I shouted, tears brimming my eyes. It hurt, seeing him so full of hatred. He was always an angry guy, but he never hated me so much.
"I don't owe you anything." he said, not moving a bit as he watched me break down.
"Yes you do!" I yelled and looked down again, "You do. I-I always-" I looked back into his eyes, "Always believed in you. Even in central city, Barry told me you and Snart were destined to be hero's and I believed in that. I believed in you, you just never believed in any of us. Not Rip, not me, not Snart." I said and his eyes faltered once again as I fell to the ground, "Always." I whispered. I heard footsteps as he turned and walked away from me.
"Maybe you should believe in me a little less then."
101
Apparently, Rip had taken off on the Jumpship with Per Degaton, our educated guess was to kill him. While the rest of the team tried to find him, Snart and I hid away in the Cargo Bay.
"I know you visited Mick with Sara." he said quietly. We were sitting on the floor, he was tossing a ball I'd created up in the air and catching it repeatedly and I was leaning against him with my head on his shoulder while his unused arm was wrapped around me.
"Yeah. I've been trying to... Get through to him, I guess." I whispered and he stopped throwing the ball.
"I've already told you, Cassie, it's a lost cause. He's a lost cause." he dragged out and I shook my head.
"I don't believe that, and I don't know how you could." I said. It was a lie. I knew he was lying to himself about Mick, trying to get himself to believe that Mick couldn't change so he wouldn't feel guilty. It's the same thing I did with Slade Wilson and Malcolm Merlyn, it's the same thing I'd do now if I hadn't believed in Mick so much at the start.
I pulled back from Snart slightly to change my position as I pressed my lips to his neck. His grip on me tensed for a split second before he pulled me closer. I bit down softly, remembering the hickey he had given me before. I was just glad I was able to hide it with enough makeup. I made a spot on his neck before kissing his lips, smirking. He pulled back to see my mischievous smirk.
"What did you do?" he asked, sending me a questioning yet playful glare.
"Only a little payback." I grinned and kissed him again. We pulled back when we began to hear footsteps and in walked Sara Lance.
"No luck finding our homicidal Captain?" Snart asked, pretending like nothing had just happened as he adjusted the collar on his jacket to hide the obvious hickey.
"Gideon's still searching, but I have a feeling Rip's not gonna be found if he doesn't want to be." Sara said, not looking at us until the end of her sentence. When she did finally look at us, she shot me a questioning glance, knowing that I had a "thing" for Snart. I just shrugged and looked at him from the corner of my eyes, "Seeing as you two seem so comfortable, I'll leave you guys alone." she said and began to leave before looking at me, mouthing, "Tell him."
I knew exactly what she wanted me to tell him too.
Once she left I sighed and moved so I was sitting in front of Snart. He raised an eyebrow as the mood in the entire room changed.
"You should talk to him." I said and he looked down.
"We had our conversation while he was Chronos, and he made his feelings about me very clear, remember?" he asked. I remembered the conversation very clearly, which just made me think he should talk to Mick more.
"And what about your feelings?" I asked.
"About you?" he asked, smirking. I smiled and rolled my eyes, though something in my heart seemed to flutter.
"Funny, but no. About Mick." I said. His smirk dropped as he looked back down.
"I don't have any feelings about Mick." he said and I frowned.
"Don't lie to me. Don't ever think you are capable of pulling that off. You obviously have some kind of feelings about Mick or else you wouldn't have been his partner and you wouldn't have spared his life." I said.
"Look, if you want to ease your guilty conscious, that's your business, but he's still the same son of a bitch he was when all your friends wanted me to put him down." he replied, giving me an icy glare that made a twinge of pain strike my heart.
"I wasn't the one with the bright idea of marooning him, that was you. It's obviously still weighing on your conscious. So stop being a jerk and go fix it." I said, standing up and walking away, "And just so you know, my feelings about you are very strong, so don't screw up." I called down the hallway as I left him sitting there, hickey and all.
"Love problems?" I heard as I walked down the hallway. I didn't bother to turn around, already knowing it was a figment of my imagination, "Come on, Cass, you can't just think me away."
"Actually, I can!" I yelled, turning around to face Malcolm. I stared at him for a moment before turning around, continuing to walk away. I heard a sigh before everything went silent again.
"Awe, is your little dainty heart broken?" the high pitched voice of Tiffany asked and I grabbed at my head.
"We are all back in business, baby!" I heard Malcolm yell, laughing maniacally.
"Why is this happening?" I asked myself, a headache beginning to form, "Why me, why now?" Others started talking before the voices overlapped, again and again and again until I couldn't understand a single word. I refused to open my eyes for fear that I'd see every horrible face from my past. Everything became too much, and I felt myself become nauseas as I fell to the ground, hearing a shout before everything vanished.
101
I woke up on a bed, someone next to me, stroking my hair. I opened my eyes to see Snart resting on his elbow of one arm while the other held me close.
"Snart?" I whispered, groaning at the ache in my head.
"Mind explaining what all that was about?" he asked, referring to me passing out. I shook my head and nuzzled into the crook of his neck.
"Later." I mumbled. Before he had time to respond, the ship began to shake and I groaned.
"You stay here, I'll be back." he said and stood up, leaving despite me whining like a five year old. Not long after he left, I sighed and got up, looking around. We were in his room, which wasn't too different from my room, but definitely different. His was cleaner and also looked like he'd never unpacked, which knowing him, he probably never did. I sighed and rubbed my head, leaving the room. I walked to the bridge to find everyone was gone and walked to the computer table.
"Gideon, show me what's going on outside please." I ordered, still not knowing how it worked. A picture of everyone fighting showed up. There was my team, Atom suits, and regular guards of some sort. I sighed and put on my mask, walking outside of the ship. As soon as I exited, a knife was pressed against my throat.
"Don't struggle." a familiar voice whispered in my ear and I let out a shaky breath as he pulled me along with him.
"Looks like Raymond was able to sabotage his robot army." I heard Snart yell over the sound of guns and let my eyes shut, not wanting to be seen or he would know I had left the ship.
"Which means mopping up the rest of these guys shouldn't be a problem." Jax said and Savage pulled me in front of them.
"Oh, it will be a problem." he said as he walked further. Snart aimed his gun, powering it up and Jax flamed up again, but it's not like either of them could do anything without killing me at the same time, seeing as Savage had my body pressed up against his. Ew.
"What do you want?" Snart asked angrily.
"I want to exchange this woman's life for your captain, Rip Hunter." He said and I looked at the whole team, or at least the part of the team that was there.
"I have a better idea," we all looked to see Rip with Per Degaton, his laser gun pressed against the kids neck, "her life in exchange for his."
No, Rip, just kill him.
"Your son will be returned to you as soon as you guarantee our safe passage." Rip offered.
"No, Rip." I whispered, squeezing my eyes shut as Savage tightened his grip on me.
"Don't do it, father." Per Degaton said, "If you let them go now, they will only come back for us in the future."
"It's your choice." Rip cocked his pistol.
"Your son is right." Savage said from behind me, "We should kill them all."
Soon the knife was removed from my throat and I looked at Per Degaton's father, silently thanking him.
"Put down your weapons!" he shouted at his army.
"No, father!" his son shouted.
"Let my son go, and I will let you leave in peace." he bargained and I smiled, "You have my word."
Rip pushed Per Degaton our way and Savage pushed my their way. I turned and glared at him, holding up my middle finger for less than a second before continuing to walk to them.
"Better find yourself a new mentor, kid." Snart told Per Degaton and I walked up to him, hugging him. I don't care if he had a reputation, I needed to hug someone and he was there. We began walking back to the ship, passing Rip. Snart leaned closer to me, "Thought I told you to stay put?" he asked with a cold tone to his voice.
"Do I look like a good listener?" I asked with a small smirk as we boarded the ship.
101
"I'm right out here if anything goes south." I said and Snart rolled his eyes but smiled.
"Thanks, sweetheart, but I got a plan." he said, kissed me on the cheek, and walked inside. Snart was going to have a conversation with Mick, and I was somewhat scared about the outcome. I sat against the wall, waiting.
"Do you really think anything good will come out of this visit?" I heard from beside me and jumped, turning to see Malcolm.
"Yes, now go away." I said and he rolled his eyes.
"Come on Cass, I've known you since you were fifteen-"
"You also killed my best friend-aka your son. I wouldn't say we're on the best terms at the moment, Merlyn." I said and he nodded.
"There's not a day that I don't regret-"
"Shut up. And go. Away." I growled and looked away. When I looked back, he was no longer there.
Soon both Snart and Mick emerged and I stood up. Snart had a busted lip, a bloody nose, bruised cheek, and not one, but two black eyes. I immediately started inspecting him and he pushed my hands away, looking down.
"I'm fine." he said and I looked at Mick.
101
"Since I failed to bring you in, the Time Master's want to bring me in, and this time, their not gonna take any chances. They're called the Hunters, mercenaries, and unlike me, there isn't a human part left in them." Mick explained to the team. We were in the Bridge, having yet another Team meeting, but this time Mick was a part of it again.
"So they want to lock us all up in the Vanishing Point?" Ray asked, trying to understand what we were dealing with.
"The Hunters do one thing: kill, whenever, wherever, and they'll stop at nothing until every single one of us is erased from the face at history." Mick said and began walking away.
"Do you have any suggestions as to how we might outsmart them, Mr. Rory?" Rip asked, making Mick pause.
"Run."
