Chapter Seven: Betrayal

It had been a week and we'd done nothing. I hadn't seen visions for the entire week and Gideon said there was nothing wrong with my head that she could see. I'd spent my week healing and punching my bag. Snart had been spending an awful lot of time with Sara and Mick was going insane not being able to burn anything. Other than that, every one else seemed so be somewhat okay.

I was wearing an Arctic Monkeys muscle tee and ripped skinny jeans as it was easier to punch things with a thin layer of clothes. I punched my black bag until I ran out of breath, hopping on my bed to breathe. As I stared up at my ceiling, I heard a knock on my door and quickly snatched up my mask, putting it on with haste. I looked up to see Sara standing in the doorway.

"You've been in here for a week, Fae. Have you even eaten?" she asked and to answer her question, my stomach growled, "Why don't you come play cards or something with me and Leonard?" she asked.

"Do you guys have... You know... Do you-God, I sound like I'm in high school-do you like him?" I asked and she walked in more, sitting next to me.

"I mean, I hadn't thought of him like that. He's funny and he's good at what he does," she said and I nodded, looking down at my hands, "Oh my god, you like him, don't you?" she asked and I sighed.

"We kind of... might have.. Maybe kissed." I mumbled and looked up to find her smiling, "but there's nothing there. He only cares about himself and money, said so himself." I said and looked back down at my busted knuckles.

"If there's one thing I know about him, it's that he'll say anything to sound intimidating or strong, even if it's a lie. We've seen him fight for this team, he stopped me from..." she stopped and looked away, "never mind, but he saved you, Ray, and Mick from that prison in Russia." she said and I sighed.

"Either way, nothing's going to happen between us. And if you ever tell him about this conversation, I'll kill both of you." I said, pointing my finger at her. She smiled and rolled her eyes.

"Don't worry, I'm good at keeping secrets." she smirked and winked, standing up, "Come on." she said and pulled on my wrist. I followed her, confused.

"What are you doing?" I asked as she lead me down to where the Cargo Bay was.

"Well, I'm not leaving you to stay hidden in your room any longer." she said and I saw Snart sitting at the bottom of the stairs, a pack of cards in his hands. I sighed, "Three stacks of seven, let's play." Sara said and Snart looked up, his eyes locking on me as she pulled me.

"The bear's out from hibernation." I heard the gruff voice of Mick.

"On second thought, Sara, I should really go get something to eat." I said and looked at Sara.

"Mick can do that, can't you Mick?" she said and made me sit down as she did the same.

"Can't I what?" Mick asked.

"Go get some food." Sara said and I shook my head.

"Don't worry, Mick, I got it." I said, beginning to get up.

"Sit down." Sara said and I sat back down, groaning at my own will to listen to orders.

"Do I get food or not?"

Mick had brought some food from the kitchen and I had been sneaking bites while we played cards. Sara wasn't weird for the rest of the game and Mick was sharpening his knives. Snart had been looking at me a lot but I tried to ignore him the best I could unless he was talking. As we were playing whatever card game Snart had chosen, my mind wandered to the reason why I was seeing Tiffany and Kyle. If nothing was mentally wrong with me, they shouldn't be there.

"I'm done!" Mick brought me out of my thoughts as he, very angrily, threw a knife in a metal container before walking to it and pulling it out. I jumped and looked at him with wide eyes.

"Don't mind him." Snart said without looking up from his cards, "He's still sore about having to leave 2046." he said with a small smirk.

"I'm sore because I was recruited for my unique ability to light things on fire. And now, I'm locked in the one place where I can't light things on fire: a spaceship." Mick shouted angrily, his eyes going wide with his funky facial expressions that made me stifle a laugh. He walked past us, getting halfway up the steps before Snart turned to him.

"Where do you think you're going?" he asked. Mick turned back to us, staring at Snart for a quick second but I could see some kind of emotion like hurt in his eyes.

"Why? You gonna clock me in the head if I don't listen again." he said and turned, walking down the hallway. I sighed and stood up.

"Now you too?" Snart looked at me and I looked down at him.

"Listen, I know you're a criminal and you have whatever expectation to keep, but he's your friend." I said and walked up the stairs, following Mick, "Mick, wait up." I said and he turned to me before groaning and turning back around.

"What? Did he send you to-"

"No." I cut him off before he had time to finish his sentence, "I came by choice." I said and he looked at me, almost as if searching my eyes for lies.

"Okay. Why?" he asked and kept walking, I followed.

"Well, I don't know I just kind of felt like I should." I said and looked down. I heard him grunt.

"Wow, how thoughtful." he said sarcastically and I looked back up at him.

"I think you should forgive him." I said and he looked at me from the corner of his eyes before looking ahead of him once more.

"No." he said simply.

"Come on, how long have the two of you been friends?" I asked curiously.

"Doesn't matter." he answered and I groaned.

"Mick," I walked in front of him, making him stop walking, "I know he hurt you and I know he betrayed you and I know it's hard to forgive someone after that, but you guys are still friends." I said and he rolled his eyes, pushing me to the side before walking away.

"I don't care if we're "friends" or not. I'm not forgiving him." he said and I didn't bother to follow him afterward, sighing, I stood in the hall alone. After a minute, I looked up.

"Gideon, do you know what else causes hallucinations?"

101

"And we care about this chick why?" Mick asked after Rip told us about another Time Master that was in trouble that we were now apparently about to save.

"We don't," Rip answered, "but the Acheron's computer will contain Intel on Savage's current whereabouts. Gideon, set a course for the Acheron's position in deep space." Rip said with a weird soft voice that I hadn't heard him use before. He also wasn't wearing his tan trench coat, which threw me off as I looked at the plain gray T-shirt he was wearing, wondering why it screwed with my brain so much.

"Yes, Captain." Gideon answered.

"Deep space?" asked Stein, "I had no idea we had the ability to explore the unknown realms of the galaxy. Astonishing." Stein geeked out and I rolled my eyes. It's like we had two Rays.

"No. What's astonishing is that we're acting as roadside assistance for the people who's chasing us." Jax said with an annoyed and bored tone.

"I second that." I said, raising my hand slightly.

"Doesn't it seem suspicious, this distress call just happened to reach us?" Snart asked and both me and Jax nodded, mine slightly more eager than his.

"How do we know it's not a trap?" Sara asked, leaning on the computer table.

"We don't," Rip put his arms out like he was tired of our crap, "but what we do know is that Savage's trail has run cold. And unless Gideon can upload the data from the Acheron's computer-"

"I'm in." Mick cut Rip off and I looked at him with a confused expression. Something is definitely going on with him. It's like he's on his man period or something. Snart and Rip both gave Mick shocked reactions.

"You are?" Snart asked, sounding like he didn't believe Mick.

"The sooner we end Savage, the sooner I get back to where I belong." Mick said and I frowned. I know this mission was all about defeating Savage, but I hadn't actually thought about what I'd do afterwards. I loved Oliver, but I wasn't sure that I wanted to go back to the Arrow team. I didn't think I could.

"Gideon." Rip called and I realized I'd missed the end of the last conversation, but I was sure it wasn't too important.

"Yes, sir." Gideon said. We all sat in our seats, me next to Snart once again.

"Engines to full throttle." Rip said, pulling his guard down over his chest as his chair turned around.

"Of course, Captain."

101

We had arrived nearby the other Time Ship, which was identical to the Waverider other than the color of the back. While the Waverider had an orange glow, the new ship had a blue one. While everyone talked, I walked into Rip's office, looking around. I spotted a tan color and smiled, walking up to it and grabbing the coat, walking up to Rip and throwing it on him from behind.

"There we go, now turn." I said and he turned, yet it still didn't look quite right. I bit my lip and looked at him before sighing, "Go fix your outfit, you're throwing me off." I said and he smiled before walking off to the fabrication room. I turned to see Sara walking up to me and I smiled at her. She grabbed my upper arm and continued walking.

"A word?" she asked and I nodded as we got into the hallway.

"What is it?" I asked and she sighed.

"Talk to-"

"If you say Snart's name, so help me God." I said and she frowned.

"He trusts you more than me. If you don't want to talk to him for yourself, talk to him for Mick." she said and I sent a confused glance her way.

"What do you mean?" I asked and she sighed.

"You've seen the way he's been acting, right? Something's not right." she said. I couldn't tell if she was worried about him or herself, or both.

"Yeah, something is wrong, you're right." I said and saw a hopeful gleam in her eyes, "He's a pyromaniac and a psychopath who likes to steal things and kill people. Obviously something isn't going to be right." I said and saw the hopefulness fade away as I began walking away.

"Please." I heard and tensed up, sighing. I walked back into the Bridge as Rip, Mick, Stein and Jax left to go to the other ship. I soon saw Snart sitting in his seat. I took a deep breath before walking to the seats and sitting next to him. I saw as he looked at me.

"I was right." he said before I even said anything. I looked at him in confusion, which probably turned to two question marks on my mask because he explained before I had to ask, "You are prettier without the mask on." he said and smirked before looking away. I felt heat rush to my cheeks before shaking his compliment off and thinking about what I came to talk about.

"You should apologize to Mick." I said and the smirk dropped, replaced with a scowl.

"Why?" he asked, his voice cold rather than playful.

"Uh, I don't know, maybe because his friend knocked him out and dragged him into something against his will." I said sarcastically, rolling my eyes.

"Mick's tough, but he doesn't know what's best for him sometimes. It will pass." Snart said and I sighed.

"I hope you're right." I said quietly and looked at my bandaged hands. The arrow wound was almost fully healed and the bruises on my wrists were gone. After a while I created a bouncy ball, bouncing it up and down.

"Isn't this lame." I heard and jumped, turning around in my seat to be face to face with Tiffany. I jumped back and by this point, Snart was staring at me and looking at where I was looking to see what I was seeing.

"Sorry." I apologized and scratched the back of my neck as Tiffany rolled her eyes and began walking away, "Thought I saw a spider." I smiled slightly. Before she exited the doors, she turned to me and motioned for me to follow her, "Be right back." I said and followed. Once outside the doors, I saw Tiffany and Kyle.

"Everything going okay with lover boy, dog?" Tiffany asked and I frowned at the name.

"First of all, don't call him that, second of all, don't call me that, third of all, everything's fine." I said and she rolled her eyes, "You guys can't just keep showing up out of no where." I said and she laughed, walking towards me.

"We aren't coming out of nowhere, silly." she said and I watched her.

"Y-You aren't?" I asked. She shook her head.

"We're coming from here." she said and pointed at my head. I shook my head.

"That's impossible. Gideon said nothing was mentally wrong with me." I said and she laughed once again. Before she got another word in, the lights started blaring red. I looked around before back to where they were standing, but they were gone. I groaned and ran back into the bridge, "What the hell is going on?" I asked.

"Captain Hunter programmed me to execute certain protocols in response to specific keywords." Gideon said and I groaned.

"What does that mean in English?" Snart asked.

"Strap yourselves in." Gideon said and we did, quickly, "We are on the move and preparing to fire."

"You guys can't go ten minutes alone without breaking something can you?" I asked, my heart beating twice as fast as normal. Snart looked at me and I could tell he wanted to ask something. I gave him a confused expression.

"Who were you talking to?" he asked and I tensed.

"Myself." I said and then mentally face palmed myself, "I mean, not myself, I wasn't talking to anyone." Before he had time to argue with me, the ship shook as it fired something and Snart returned to "Battle face".

"What are you doing, Gideon?" he asked.

"Just a warning shot to let them know we mean business." Gideon spoke and I could see Snart grow annoyed.

"My partners on that ship." he said and I scoffed.

"You sure?" I asked quietly before regretting it as he looked at me with a glare. Before we could get into any kind of argument, the ship shook and lights began exploding. I subconsciously grabbed onto the first thing near me, which happened to be Snart.

"There's a hull breach in the aft portion of the ship, and the pirates have taken out the telemetry controls." Gideon explained and Ray told her to switch to manual, switching to the Captains seat as Sara, Snart, and I stood up to go fix the breach. When we found it, Snart held up his cold gun and ran to it.

"Here." he said and I could hear his gun powering up before shooting at the hole. I watched it and joined in, holding up my hands as black using my black smoke to help seal it.

"How long can you keep that up for?" Sara asked, noticing my energy was quickly draining. Big things that needed to be solidified alway took a lot of energy from me, not to mention that Snart's gun needed charged.

"Not long." Snart said, "I'm gonna run out of charge." just like that, his gun powered off and I felt my eyelids grow heavy as my power drained. They both gave me worried glances as my hands fell to my feet and I dropped, falling into Snart, who held me up. Gideon said something about the breach only being partially contained as I tried to stand up straight, falling into Sara instead. Snart sighed and helped me get to the doors as Sara ran ahead. Right as Sara got out, the doors shut on me and Snart.

"Guess we know the bulkhead doors are working." Snart said and I looked at them. Sara turned back to us, her eyes wide.

"Ray and Kendra should be here soon." she said and I sighed. I pushed myself off of Snart, who was still holding me, and regained my balance. I attempted to use my powers again, only getting a little bit of smoke that I couldn't even solidify. I sighed.

"Sorry guys." I mumbled and Sara looked at me.

"Why are you sorry? It's not like this is your fault." she said and I smiled. I could feel the cold air blow on me and frowned. I loved cold weather, but this was different. This wasn't weather to cuddle in and drink hot chocolate while binging on Netflix, this was weather to die in. Soon Ray and Kendra showed up, looking in.

"Thank you for visiting freezeville." I said, rubbing up and down my arms. I could see a cloud form in front of my face from my hot breath.

"We're gonna get you out of here. Just hang tight." Ray said and I smiled softly, shivering.

"Gee, I was gonna go play mini golf." I said sarcastically.

"Don't mean to rush you, Raymond, but it's getting cold in here. Normally, I wouldn't complain, but-" Snart started, Captain Cold himself was complaining about the cold air.

"Cant you just open the doors, Gideon?" Kendra asked, cutting off Snart. I frowned slightly, could've waited for two more seconds.

"The bulkhead is designed to remain shut until the breach is sealed." Gideon answered and I groaned, feeling useless as I was too weak to use my powers at the moment.

"Well, that's not happening from in here." Snart said with sass.

"How much time do we have until-" Kendra began to ask.

"They're dead?" Sara asked, cutting her off.

"Way to be optimistic, team." I rolled my eyes. Sara, Ray, and Kendra quickly left to go fix the breach from the outside. After a while, I shivered and sat against a big metal thing that looked like a container, wincing at the freezing ground. Soon I got used to it and began rubbing my hands together. Snart sat by me after a minute.

"Your mask is broken." he said and I raised an eyebrow, pulling off my mask. I looked at it and he was right, it had been off for a while.

"Must have shut down because of the low temperature or something. It should be fine when we get out of here." I said, looking around as I put the mask down.

"If we get out of here." Snart said and I frowned slightly, staring at my mask.

"We're gonna get out of here, you know." I said and he stayed silent. I decided to confront the elephant in the freezing cold room, "What I said about the kiss, you know, I didn't mean to-"

"It's fine." he said, slightly dragging out the last word like he normally does, "You were just saying what you felt." he said and I nodded.

"You didn't say what you felt though." I said and looked up at him.

"What I felt?" he asked and I nodded before seeing him smirk slightly, "Do you really want to know that?" he asked.

"Well, duh." I smiled. Instead of answering with words like any normal human being would, he pressed his lips against mine. Once the initial shock of him kissing me disappeared, I smiled and wrapped my arms around his neck, kissing back.

101

"So, Captain Cold, bet you feel at home right now." I said, cuddling close to Snart (I still refused to reference him by his first name and I would for a while).

"If I had to pick a way to die, freezing wouldn't be the worst." he said and I looked up at him.

"We're not dying today." I said, "I'm over dying." I joked, smiling. I saw the hint of a smile appear on his face.

"Have you ever, you know, died?" he asked and I shrugged.

"I've come close more times than most people. I have technically "died" once, but my story isn't as bad ass as Sara's." I remembered Sara being shot by Thea's arrows while under Malcolm's control, and how she fell off a tall building and landed in front of Laurel.

"What's it like?" he asked and I thought for a second. I had almost died multiple times on Lian Yu, cold and alone. Along with when I went back to Star city, the same thing. A lot of my hits took bad turns which would leave me with wounds for weeks. I remembered when Oliver finally found me, it was after I'd passed out trying to get a bullet out of my stomach. He said he'd brought me to a hospital and they said that my heart had stopped beating. I was saved though. Like I said, not as cool a story as Sara's.

"Calm, the only thing you can think of is the people you care about, but lonely. I had no one, no savior or friend, I was utterly alone in the world. Dead to everyone I ever cared about." I said quietly. He nodded slightly and looked away.

"Closest I ever came to dying was, uh, the day I met Mick." he said and I looked at him, watching his face for expressions, "It was my first day in juvie. I was 14, and the smallest kid in there by far. Some of the older kids wanted to make sure I knew it. So they jumped me." he seemed hurt by his past, "I fought back, but one of them had a shiv and I figured that was it until Mick stepped in." he looked at me slightly, "And they didn't mess with me after that. He's been standing up for me ever since." he said and I smiled softly, resting my head on his shoulder.

Time passed and the room got colder and colder and even colder. I began to see frost appear on Snart's cheek, bringing out a tiny bit of stubble he had. He'd given me his jacket and I gladly put it on, keeping close to him still. I let out a tiny laugh.

"It's funny, the irony. I'm wearing an arctic shirt and you're the embodiment of all things frozen, yet we're both freezing to death." I said and he looked at me.

"Thought you said we weren't going to die?" he asked. I shrugged.

"There comes a point where you have to accept whatever may happen, even if it sucks. I think when icicles start growing on us, it's time to accept it." I said, smiling slightly before shivering. He pulled me closer slightly.

"Nothing quite like dying to make you think about all the mistakes, all the wrong choices." Snart said and I smirked.

"Are you admitting to your sins now, Snart?" I asked.

"Hardly." he said and rubbed his hands together for friction-y warmth, "Just wishing I could take a few things back. I should've left Mick in future Star City." he explained.

"Why didn't you?" I asked, looking at him from the corner of my eyes. He did a little nod thing.

"Without me to keep him in check, Mick can be a scary guy." Snart said and I nodded.

"I don't find that hard to believe." I said, "You know if we get out of here you're gonna have to do something. Mick's not... right... right now." I said and shivered once more. I could feel my fingers going numb and I put my hands in his shutting my eyes for a second.

101

I looked around. Everything was dark, but I could feel my way around. Suddenly, I began to hear a faint crying of a baby. I quickly sprung into action, running in the direction of the cry. I found a room and inside, I found my way to a light switch and turned it on, gasping at the sight in front of me. Two people lay, blood seeping from their bodies as a baby carrier sat mere feet away. I tried ignoring the gruesome look of the bodies and walked to the baby carrier, kneeling down as I saw a baby laying in it, asleep and no longer crying. Her cheeks were stained with tears.

101

The next thing I knew, Snart was shaking me awake, "Don't fall asleep on me now." I heard him say and jumped awake. I looked around as I noticed the doors opening. We looked at each other before standing up. We ran out of the room and into the hot air, sighing in relief. He smiled at me and I smiled back, taking off his jacket and holding it out to him. He took it and put it back on, giving me my mask which I hadn't realized he'd got. I put it on just before Sara ran up to us.

"Come on." she said and we began to follow.

"What's going on?" I asked.

"Something happened to Ray." she answered simply. We got to the Cargo Bay to see a frozen Ray beneath Kendra. They were talking and she had her hands on his cheeks.

"You kids need a moment?" Snart asked, ruining the moment they were already having and I elbowed him in the side. Sara and I walked into the room.

"You okay?" Sara asked as I knelt by Ray on the other side, wiping off some frost on his cheek.

"Mr. Palmer nearly died." Gideon said as Kendra looked at me and we both helped Ray up.

"Welcome to the club." Snart said and I smiled, "Gideon, what's happening on the Acheron?" he asked and I wasn't sure if I wanted to know or not.

"Funny you should ask. I just received a message from Mr. Rory. It seems he escaped capture and is now returning to the Waverider." Gideon answered and I grinned.

"Those pirates picked the wrong guy to mess with." Snart smirked and I stood up, ready to go see our friend.

101

"Since when does Rory even know how to fly the jump ship?" Ray asked, looking at his suit.

"How did he even find us?" Kendra asked skeptically.

"Guys, can we just appreciate that our friend's coming back?" I asked, frowning. I knew they didn't trust Mick because he was a criminal, but from Snart's stories, he sounded like a good friend.

"Actually, I did the flying. He received quite a beating at the hands of the pirates." Gideon explained and I smiled. We passed a hall and heard a sound coming from it. We all turned, "That's him now." Gideon said and the doors opened to reveal a beat up Mick. I began walking up to him, wanting to look at the wounds before realizing something wasn't right. I got halfway to him before stopping in my tracks, a feeling in the pit of my stomach made me sick.

"You okay Mick?" Snart asked and instead of answering, Mick turned his head.

"Boys!" he called out, "Ship's all yours!" he shouted as pirates walked out from the same place he'd come from. He looked at Snart then at me as I felt anger and betrayal, which clearly showed as something on my mask.

"Fae. Back up." I heard, but stayed standing there, looking at him. He almost looked sorry. Almost.

"You son of a bitch." I growled as someone pulled me back. I glanced back to see Ray before looking at Mick once more.

"What are you doing, Mick?" Snart asked hesitantly.

"I'm getting us home. Are you in?" Mick asked and I turned to Snart. He squinted his eyes slightly and took a few steps forward before holding up his gun. I heard the electricity whir as it powered up.

"Yeah." Snart answered and my eyes widened. He looked back at us, looking at me, "Time to choose a side, I guess." he said and looked back at Mick. There was a slight pause before he continued, "Chosen." he said and held up his gun, shooting ice at a man behind Mick. I couldn't help the smile that crossed my face as I laughed and pointed at the man that was shot.

"You got played!" I shouted.

"Bastard!" Mick cried, holding up his gun and aiming at Snart, firing red hot flames. I felt someone, most likely Ray, pull me, stopping my laugh fit as we ran. We ran down the halls together, Ray and Snart shooting the men as I knocked them out with my sledgehammer, Kendra used her fists and Sara used her stick. Ray shot some guy as Snart and I were hiding in a doorway, waiting for more men.

"Mr. Rory is making his way to the engine room to access the time drive." Gideon informed us and I silently thanked Barry for creating her.

"I'll handle it." Snart answered and moved from our cover, shooting at one of the men. I saw a green dot appear on his body as he was shot with a laser. I growled and moved, throwing my sledgehammer at the guy with smoke to pull it back. It hit him in the head and immediately knocked him out. Sara came in and began kicking ass with Kendra as I walked back to Snart and helped him up. Afterwards I ran back to the group and jumped, bringing my sledgehammer down on some guys head, which was extremely satisfying. A blast shot right by my head and turned to see that Ray had fired a blast at one of the pirates that was creeping up on me.

"Thanks." I smiled at him and he smiled back.

"Don't mention it." he said and turned, punching a guy that I didn't realize had been creeping up on him, "Actually, you can mention it. I'm pretty awesome." he said like a child and I rolled my eyes but didn't stop the grin on my face.

"I'll take care of Mick." I said and ran to the engine room as Gideon had said. When I got there, I saw Mick reaching for a ball of what looked like chemical energy. The time drive, I was guessing.

"Mick, you don't want to do this." I said and he stopped, looking down at me.

"I'll tell you what, walk away and I won't kill you." he said and I put a finger on the chin of my mask as if I was thinking about it.

"How about no?" I said sarcastically. A small smile appeared on his face.

"I like you, Fae. You got a lot of guts." He walked down from the platform he had been standing on, "Which is why I'm only gonna kill you a little bit!" He said, shouting the end as he picked up his heat gun. I quickly held up my sledgehammer and knocked it out of his hand. I began swinging at him, but he blocked all of my attacks. He managed to land a few punches, but I eventually got him to the ground, getting on top of him as my sledgehammer vanished and I began punching him. Hurting him made me feel terrible, but he'd only do the same to me. He held his fists up over his face before knocking me off of him. He stood back up as I ran at him, kicking and punching him. He grabbed me by the throat and threw me to the ground before walking off. I groaned and stood up, following him. I was about to run at him when he turned around and aimed his gun at me. Before I had time to comprehend what was happening, a terrible pain shot through my arm as I jumped back from the flame. grabbing my arm. I looked over to see him standing closer, holding his gun up again.

Well this is my end. Gonna die at the hands of my team member. How sad. I accept it as a death.

"Mick!" I heard Snart call and Mick turned. There was a bright flash and Mick was on the ground and in pain. I turned to see Snart still aiming his gun at Mick, not taking his eyes off his friend.

"Waverider, this is Captain Hunter." I heard and looked up slightly as Sara, Kendra, and Ray showed up, "We've regained control of the Acheron. What's your status?" I turned to see Mick looking up, glaring at Snart.

"What are you gonna do, Snart?"

101

"Okay." Ray said, cutting through the tense silence, "I'll say it. Why don't we just drop him back off in 2016?" Ray asked and I let out a sigh. It wasn't like I was emotionally attached to Rory, but I just thought he could be better. He didn't need to be this untrustworthy psychopath that everyone believed him to be, but in the end, he was.

"Because my sister lives in 2016." Snart answered like it was obvious, glancing at Ray before to Sara, "And your sister," he looked at Stein, "And your wife."

"So what exactly are we talking about here? Leaving Rory in the brig until we take down Savage?" Jax asked, confused and curiously. Rip started shaking his head.

"No, no, no, no, the brig is unsuitable for long-term incarceration." Rip explained and I frowned.

"Leaving him free run on the ship is not an option." Sara said.

"I'll handle it." Snart said and I looked at him. I could see by the look in his eyes what he was planning to do.

"By handling it, you mean murder?" Stein asked and I let my eyes shut for a second.

"I said I'll handle it." Snart said and I opened my eyes as looked at him, hatred, anger, sadness, and betrayal were glossing over his now dull blue eyes.

Why'd you have to do this, Mick?
