___

"Hello, little sister."

Your eyes opened slowly to meet a pair of black, polished dress shoes. You bit your tongue to keep from saying anything.

"For someone as mysterious as yourself, you would think you'd have a better hiding spot."

You closed your eyes for another second as you got up, making eye contact with your brother. "I'm not hiding."

He looked around and pursed his lips. "Then why is it so empty in here?"

"What are you doing in my apartment, Minsu."

"I just wanted to check on you." He smiled. "Make sure you're in a good living environment."

You walked around him and went into the kitchen. "You don't care whether I'm okay or not. Get out."

You heard him sigh as he looked around your apartment once more, then made eye contact with you again. "Your friends are still in prison?"

"Unfortunately."

He pouted sarcastically. "Man, that's too bad. They're not here to protect you."

"I don't need protection-" you stopped talking as he opened your front door, and a dark haired woman came in. "Yes, welcome in."

You rolled your eyes as you discreetly grabbed the small knife you hid underneath your coffee pot. The dark haired woman put her hand at the back of Minsu's neck and played with the hair laying at his nape.

"Did you bring your fling to my house to intimidate me?" You questioned bluntly. "Because I know you didn't bring her here to introduce us."

"I heard about you setting fire to Minsu's house." The woman said.

"Okay?"

"Well," she stepped a little bit closer to your kitchen counter. "I thought it was a bit rude."

Already on edge because of Minsu, you were beyond irritated and teetering on the edge of rage. You were surprised that you hadn't ripped Minsu apart yet, maybe because he so rudely woke you up at five in the morning.

You weren't even sure how he got in, but then again, he had some tricks up his sleeve.

"What are you going to do? Hit me?" The woman shrugged and you looked at your brother. "You brought her into my apartment to hit me? That's embarrassing-"

The mystery woman went to hit you, but you caught her arm and grabbed the back of her head, pulling her down to the counter. You leaned down to be closer to her in order to whisper, "That was a really good try."

You let go of her and she stepped back, trying not to seem intimidated, but she was. The way Minsu looked at her was almost angry, like he brought her to your apartment for one thing. It was like if she failed he would make her regret it.

You wouldn't put it past Minsu. He was a psychopath, but only you could really tell.

"Try again, princess." You sounded. "I'll let you hit me once."

She looked at you, then at Minsu who put a demanding hand on her back and pushed her towards you. She stood in front of you and balled her fist, despite being nervous. She finally mustered up her courage and hit you, hard enough to bust your lip a little bit.

You wiped your lip and nodded slowly. "Okay, that's what you came here for, Minsu. You can both leave now."

"You're just going to let her hit you?"

"Yeah. I don't have any more time to waste on the two of you." You replied.

Minsu gave you a look as he grabbed the woman's wrist and left your apartment, making sure to slam the door on the way out. You weren't too worried about him finding your whereabouts initially, but you realized that you had to be extra careful. If he snooped around in you apartment while you were gone, he would definitely find the blueprints and figure you out. He would ruin everything just to get under your skin.

Suddenly very annoyed, you took a quick shower and got ready for work. After getting dressed in your uniform and covering the large tattoo inked from your neck to your shoulder, and down your arm, you cleaned the fresh cut on your lip, not bothering to cover the forming bruise, and headed out.

It had already been a week since you started working at the prison. You were starting to master the ins and outs, and you were starting to figure out the best way to make this escape plan work. Of course, you already had the plan of getting the doors locked, but you needed to be able to point the finger at someone else.

If the other guards trusted you, they wouldn't think you were up to anything.

So when you walked into D-Block and heard the newest female guard, Hana, giggling as if she was talking to a high school boyfriend, it made your anger rise.

"You're not here to talk." You interrupted. "And your shift is over."

You saw her chest heave, as if she had sighed heavily at your bluntness. "It's not fun if you don't talk."

"They're criminals, not friends."

She rolled her eyes as you were clearly correct. She started walking towards you, and you noticed how she was looking at you funny, probably at the wound on your lip.

"Maybe you should get the stick out of your-"

You stopped listening when you saw Chua coming towards D-Block through the small chained window on the door eight feet in front of you. Remembering that you needed to be able to blame someone later on, you pulled the newly formed scab off of your lip. You wiped some of the blood off of your lip and quickly wiped it on the knuckles of the new girls right hand.

You heard the big door to D-Block open and slowly turned towards the warden as you wiped more blood off of your lip. "What happened in here?"

"She wiped her blood on me!" Hana exclaimed.

You looked at her, as if she was completely out of her mind for saying that. "I got onto her for casually talking to the inmates. I guess she doesn't take constructive criticism very well."

Chua looked between the two of you, looking dumbfounded. "Hana, let's go. That's your first strike."

"I didn't hit her! I'm telling you, Warden, she made herself bleed." Hana whined. "Everyone in here saw it."

D-Block went silent and Chua shook her head. She started walking, and like an obedient puppy, Hana angrily followed. She gave you one last look before the big door to the cell block shut.

You took the sleeve of your shirt and put it against your mouth, trying to stop the bleeding. "What was that for?"

You looked up at the inmate with a serious look. "You didn't see her hit me?"

The inmate grinned a little and went back to his business. You sighed heavily and looked up at the ceiling. It wouldn't be too much longer until you could break out of there and never go back.

To pass the time, you got up and walked past all of the cells, catching different pieces of the same exact ink on all of your friends arms. When you met the six of them, all of them had the same tattoo. Shortly after the first year mark of your friendship with them, you decided you would bind yourself to them with the same exact ink, in the same spot. When you got back to the house with the finished product, the guys seemed overjoyed.

Of course they wanted you to get the same tattoo, you were a permanent part of their team, and it made their hearts swell in a way that their hearts only swelled for you, who resembled their younger and older sister. Ten of course, saw you as more than a sister, but you didn't know that until the two year mark with them.

Five years of your friendship was coming up, and you swore that they would be out by then.
