04: Jimin

The bell rang.

After the teacher exited the class, I walked out of the room, not wasting a second. I knew this time the girls would, no doubt, try to stop me and ask numerous questions to satisfy their curiosity.

It was lunchtime.

I walked toward Jimin's class and waited outside for him, but after a while, I lost patience and took a look inside the class. Jimin wasn't there.

Maybe he had already gone to the cafeteria, waiting for me there. I headed toward the cafeteria; it was a small place so it didn't take me much time to know that Jimin wasn't there as well. Maybe he was on his way. I bought my lunch-two burgers and a cold drink can-and sat silently on a vacated table. Almost every seat was empty. Most of the youngsters used to prefer to go out to have their lunch 'cause it looked cool.

I gazed at my black sneakers; their once white color, in the course of time, changed to a dark brownish shade. In other words, my sneakers were dirty. For a week, I'd been thinking of washing it, but you know the problems of being lazy. I needed to wash them today.

I wore an oversized black T-shirt, with some unknown quotation written on it which I hadn't noticed since I bought it. I paired it with light blue jeans. I didn't like ripped jeans that much 'cause new dresses meant to be new and some torn jeans looked so old as if they were worn and scratched by a hundred men and put into the sale.

Five minutes passed, and I grew impatient. I opened my coke can and took a sip. Park Jimin, where the hell were you? Was being late your habit?

My thoughts ventured on Suga again. What would he do if I didn't kiss him? How dangerous could he be?

I couldn't forget his eyes and the way he looked at me. I haven't even talked to him before. Today was my first day in college, and I already made an enemy. Also, I felt extremely hungry. I sat there waiting for Park Jimin so we could eat our lunch together, but he was nowhere to be found.

A tall guy sat next to me. He was holding a soft drink can. I looked at him for a second and looked straight again. Why did he sit next to me when there were plenty of seats available? I didn't give him any attention as I sipped my coke slowly.

"Waiting for someone?"

I turned to the guy and found him staring at me. His soft pulp lips parted a bit. He had reddish cheeks and innocent hypnotizing eyes. His hair was a little messy, but it looked cute, and he wore a white shirt with capitalized 'EXO FOREVER' written on it. I thought he liked EXO. I liked them, too. I used to like their songs and Xuimin. . .

I couldn't deny that he looked unexpectedly handsome, but the only exception was his face. It looked adorable, rather than handsome.

"He won't come."

"Sorry?" I gave him a confused look.

"Um, let me guess." He moved his head in a gesture of thinking, tapping his index finger on his lip and rolling his eyes.

"Park Jimin, right?" he asked, smiling sweetly.

"How did you know?"

"I just know," he answered. "I know about everything."

"I don't believe you." I looked away.

"Then don't, " he said, standing up.

'What the hell, Ivy! A person came to talk to you and you're behaving so rudely!' the Angel inside me shouted angrily.

'He could be helpful. Maybe we could use him in the future,' the Devil said mischievously.

This time, the Angel and the Devil asked the same thing, but their motives were totally different.

"Hey! Okay, okay, I believe you," I said, raising my hands to stop him.

"So where were we?" he said as he sipped his coke.

"Park Jimin."

"Yeah, that guy. That guy's clever as fuck."

"Why? He seems sweet."

"Sweet? He'd be sweeter than hell while opening your clothes." He grinned.

His example made me feel a bit awkward and uncomfortable, still, I sat there 'cause I wanted to know the truth.

"He's a fabulous actor, you know. He might have met you in one of his classes?"

I nodded.

"Of course! And promised to meet you to lunch."

"Yeah!"

"It's his strategy. Today, he made you wait for him. Now tomorrow he'll apologize. Then. . ."

"Then?" I asked, almost lost in his words, looking at him, my eyes a little narrowed with disbelief.

"Then!" he repeated as he started to stare at something.

I followed the direction of his look and found him staring at the burgers on the table.

It wouldn't cost me anything if I give him one of my burgers. I quickly offered him one. He denied at first but after a while accepted.

"Thank you." He took one, smiling like a happy child.

"So where were we?" he asked, taking a huge bite of the burger. The way he munched the burger made it look as if he was hungry for decades.

"Tomorrow, Jimin will apologize. Then?" I looked at him with impatience.

"Then, he'll ask you out on a disco or some dance bar, faking it as a gift 'cause he broke his promise and made you wait. Then!" He stopped again and took a huge bite.

"Then?"

"Then in the disco, some sexy dance, romance, and a one night stand."

What the fuck!

He looked at me as he munched on the burger and took another bite. His facial expression was simple as if he was talking nothing special.

My eyes widened in disbelief.

No way!

"But he's gay. I saw him flirting with a guy."

"Yeah! Sometimes he does that for his own entertainment or for some other reason I don't know about, but he's not a gay. He loves girls, and you're his new interest."

"How could you say that?" I asked him slowly, with furrowed brows.

"'Cause Park Jimin never promises a girl for lunch unless he's interested to undress her."

I couldn't believe him. How could Jimin? No, it wasn't true.

He might be lying.

Of course, he was lying.

"What happened?" he asked.

"Nothing."

I couldn't believe him. No! How could Jimin? He was lying, no way.

Jimin was a sweet guy, the only person who was friendly to me today. He couldn't do such a shitty thing to me. He could never, but today was my first day, I didn't even know where Jimin live. I didn't know anything about him, and maybe this guy wasn't lying or maybe he was.

"How do you know about him?" I looked at him, and for a second, I felt like I made him almost jump. He wasn't expecting that I'd suddenly ask him something.

"Hm." He took another bite of the burger.

"I mean, how did you know such personal things about him? Who are you?"

"I'm god!" he said between munching his burger and started to laugh loudly.

His laugh was similar to the sound of the squeak that came out when you clean your window. He chuckled like a small kid as he managed to finish his food.

"Seriously." I couldn't stop myself from smiling as I watched him laughing. He looked even cuter when he laughed. The atmosphere was much friendlier and comfortable, and I relaxed a bit.

"So which year?"

"First."

"You?"

"Second."

I hummed in response.

"So, um, what should I ask you?" I said, sipping my coke as I took a small bite from my burger.

"Hm, anything about anyone."

"Hm." Maybe I should ask him about Suga, maybe not.

He was offering me so, yeah, I could ask him.

Everything would be fine. Anyway, just ask. I mentally rolled my eyes.

"So, um, can I ask you something?" I looked at him with a not-so-sure look.

"Yeah, sure. Just ask." He gave me a hopeful smile.

Why was he so good to a stranger like me? Why the hell was he even helping me?

"Who's Suga?"

"Shuga, a, yaaa! Shuga, that guy, he's cold," he said. "And you owe him a kiss."

I narrowed my eyes. "Sorry, you know about that? How did you know about that?"

"The whole college knows about that."

"Everyone's searching for you so that they could catch you, and kill you, and then sacrifice your blood to Lord Shugaaaaa!" he exclaimed, widening his eyes.

I looked at him in horror. Of course! I believed him.

"Just kidding," he said as he started laughing crazily again.

"You almost gave me a heart attack," I said with a shocked expression as I took a deep breath to calm my small heart.

"So this Suga guy, he's moody as fuck and his behavior is colder than Antarctica. His real name is Min Yoongi, and he's a member of a group of idols. He calls himself August D, and I don't know why. He's a boring and a super duper lazy guy. Once he said he slept for twenty-four hours."

So, overall, Suga wasn't that much dangerous as much as looked. I was safe. I smiled.

"So how he's in studies?"

"He's not good, but dedicated. Once he's determined to get something, he'll not stop trying until he gets it."

"Oh."

Did his determination was applied to my case, too? Maybe yes. Maybe no.

"How does everyone treat him?" I asked, crossing my legs.

"Everyone? Um, pretty good," He continued with a serious tone, thinking hard, "actually, everyone's scared of him. Not the group's oldest hyung but others. He's scary when he's angry. Even the muscled piggy of the group, Jungkook, doesn't dare to argue with him."

"Jungkook! Maybe I've met that guy. How does he look?"

"He's pretty cute, tall, his hair color's black and skin color's fair. He loves to wear timberlands and spends most of the time in the gym. He's addicted to bodybuilding, his best friend's Kim Taehyung, and he has a crush on one of his classmate, IU," he finished, taking a long breath.

"Okay." I smiled at him. I got not even a single clue with which I could identify this guy.

"And yeah, forgot to say. He's famous in school, with the name of bunny 'cause of his cute bunny-like teeth."

Oh! That guy, I remember him. I had talked to him before.

"Yeah, I know him. I had seen him with Suga," I said nodding my head.

"So, with everything you said about Suga, I came into a conclusion. I was thinking. . ." I looked down at the floor, fidgeting with the hem of my shirt.

"You were thinking?"

"That maybe," I said in a low voice.

"Maybe?" He leaned near my body to hear me clearly.

"Hey! Stop it! Please! Stop it!" I chuckled, looking at him.

"Okay, okay! So, what were you thinking?"

"I was thinking that maybe, this guy, Suga, is not that dangerous."

"And how did you have a thought like that?" He crossed his legs.

"'Cause he seems harmless. He's a moody person and does not like to talk to others, only his cold behavior made him scary. Nothing else."

A mischievous smile appeared on his face.

"What?" I asked, confused.

"Nothing." He smiled mischievously.

"Hey!" I looked at him, furrowing my brows.

"I should have recorded your definition of Suga. It's Le-Jin-dary!"

"Wh-what? Le-Le-Lejinda. What's that?"

What the heck was he trying to say?

"Nothing! Anyway, listen, girl, I could understand that you're new here and unaware of the rules and regulations of this college."

"No, I've read the rules and regulations in the college catalog." I tried to clear his misconception.

"No, not that one. These are the real ones." He looked intensely in my eyes, making me feel that he wasn't joking.

"And the one I had read in the college catalog?" I raised one of my eyebrows.

"Those are just for show. I'm going to tell you about the real rules. Don't interrupt me when I start. It's going to be interesting." He smirked, rubbing his palms together in excitement.

"Ask your queries and doubts after I finished."

I leaned near him to listen to him clearly as I gave him my full attention. I was filled with curiosity and couldn't wait until he starts. What type of rules was he talking about? Never ever heard something like that.

"But before I start," he said taking a deep breath. I was expecting that he'd ask me to do some type of oath or promise. I widened my eyes in amazement.

"Go buy me a burger," he said with a straight look.

"What?"

How could he?

"No excuses. You'll buy me a burger, otherwise, I won't tell you anything," he ordered irritably, crossing his legs and his arms, looking away.

"Okay!" I said, giving up.

He looked at me, wearing the sweetest and the cutest smile. "Thank you!"

I stood up and walked towards the shop. I was still holding my half-eaten burger which I finished while ordering.

Shit! I still didn't know his name. I didn't have any idea who he was, and here I was buying a burger for a stranger.

'Great.' The devil inside me gave me a disgusted look and slow claps.

"So, can we start?" I looked at the boy who was munching burger with a look on his face as if he got a passport to his haven.

"Yes!" He uttered, mouth stuffed with food.
