The soft lights and the steady beat of the heart monitor greeted Changbin as he woke up.  He didn't even realize he had fallen asleep, and he wasn't sure exactly when he did, but he knew it was more than likely early morning.  He looked across the room to the small window and noticed that it was still dark out, so he knew that it was really early.

His eyes landed on Olivia, who was curled up on the chair she had been sitting in since they had gotten there.  He furrowed his eyebrows, knowing that she more than likely wasn't comfortable, and probably cold to top it off.  He went to stand up, but then he remembered that Felix was asleep on his lap.  He looked down at his sleeping boyfriend and pushed a stray piece of hair out of his face before he gently lifted his head off of his lap.  He slowly mooved out from under him, then gently laid his head back down on the couch.  Changbin crouched down in front of Felix, observing the sleeping figure, noticing how peaceful and calm he looked.  He placed a soft kiss on the boy's forehead then stood up and moved towards the door.

The floor was dimly lit, a few lights on here and there.  The nurse's station was empty save for one nurse, who Changbin remembered as Hwasa.  He walked up to the counter, checking the time on the clock that hung on the wall above one of the computers.

"Changbin, why are you up so early?" Hwasa asked quietly, pulling his attention away from the clock.  He didn't have enough time to look at it totally, but he caught that it was sometime after three.

"Oh, I just woke up.  I was actually wondering if you had some extra blankets and pillows?" His voice was barely above a whisper, but due to the quietness of the floor, Hwasa still understood him.

She nodded and got up from her seat, smiling.  "Yeah, just follow me," She said and walked a bit down the hallway.  Changbin followed, as told, and suddenly became curious as to why she was the only nurse up.

"Where are the other nurses?" He asked, his curiosity getting the better of him.  He wasn't sure if it was a rude or stupid thing to ask because he had never been to a hospital before, except for when Minho broke during a dance practice, but even then, they were there during the day and they were only there for two hours.

Hwasa laughed and stopped in front of a door.  "The others are sleeping right now.  We take shifts so the others can catch up on some sleep." The door lead to a room that was filled with blankets, bed sheets, pillows and a bunch of other things, so Changbin just assumed it was the storage room.  Changbin stood in the door way while Hwasa walked through and grabbed what Changbin asked for.  "Here ya go," She smiled as she handed the items to Changbin.

"Thanks." The two walked out of the storage room and back down the hallway.  Once they were back at the nurse's station, Hwasa pulled out a pair of grippy socks from her pocket.

"Here, Olivia loves these.  I give her a new pair every time she visits, I just forgot to give them to her earlier." Changbin nodded and walked back into the room, closing the door as softly as he could with his foot.  He set the pile of pillows and blankets down on an empty chair, grabbing one of them and walking over to Felix.  He lifted his head and carefully placed the pillow under the sleeping boy's head, then gently laid him back down.  He carefully moved Felix's body over a bit so that there was room for Olivia, then he straightened up and moved across the room.  He smiled softly as he carefully, but awkwardly, picked up the sleeping girl, trying his best not to disturb her or her mother resting on the bed beside her chair.

Once he had picked her up, Olivia instinctively wrapper her arms around Changbin's neck which resulted in him smiling and doing his best not to laugh.  Who would have thought that the feisty, energetic girl would be so clingy?

He carefully carried her to the couch that Felix was asleep on and gently set her down.  She was much smaller than Felix, so she didn't need much room on the couch.  Once he had her on the couch, Changbin moved back to grab another pillow and a blanket.  He carefully placed the pillow under Olivia's head, then draped the blanket gently over the two sleeping figures.  He stood there for a moment, admiring how calm and serine the two looked.

"You really are special..." The quiet and hoarse voice startled Changbin.  He turned around and was met with a pair of tired, but seemingly pleased eyes.

Immediately, he bowed a full nintey degrees and quietly greeted the tired woman.  "I'm sorry if I woke you, Mrs. Lee.  I'm Seo Changbin, your son's boyfriend... It's very nice to finally meet you" his voice was barely above a whisper as he spoke, but the woman just waved his words away.

"No need to be so formal with me darling, and Felix has spoken a lot about you.." She motioned for Changbin to sit in the chair that Olivia was previously sleeping in.  He could tell that she was exhausted and he felt bad that he had woken her up.  "You didn't wake me up sweet heart, don't worry," her voice was soft and gentle, and it immediately made Changbin relax into the chair.  After a moment of silence, she spoke up again.  "You know, you've been a very good thing for Felix.  Olivia too, even if it might not seem like it.  Felix has always been closed off, but once I got sick, he became even more distant.." Changbin nodded, listening intently to the soft but warm words fill the quiet atmosphere.  "But this past year, these past few months especially, he really has begun to change.  Every day he'd walk in through those doors, he seemed a bit brighter.  You've been good for him, Changbin." She turned and smiled at Changbin, and although it was a weak smile, Changbin felt pure warmth and sincerity radiating from it.

The two were engulfed in silence after that.  It was bad, or tense, it was peaceful.  The faint sound of Felix and Olivia's breathing, the rythmic beeping of the heart monitor, the soft lights from the hallway as well as the ones in the room.  It was weird, but Changbin felt at peace.  He had a lot he had to process from earlier, he had a lot to think about and to deal with, but right now, in this moment, none of it seemed to really matter.  His eyes drifted from the sleeping figures on the couch, to the now sleeping figure on the bed beside him and suddenly, their whole conversation felt unreal, like he had just dreamt it.  Then, that's when he realized how exhausted she must really be, to be awake and talking one second, then to be completely asleep the next.  Changbin felt a pang of saddness as he stared at the sleeping woman.  He had only just met her, but her voice, her calming and soothing voice, made him feel like he had known her forever.  Sudden guilt washed over him as he started comparing his situation to Felix's, and how he should consider himself lucky.  He lives in a house with two parents, who he assumed, even though they may not show it, loved him.  At least his mom did.  Changbin's lips formed a slight pout as his eyes drifted back over to his sleeping boyfriend.  His mind wandered to all the times Changbin and Felix had interacted before they started dating.  A lot of it was just normal interactions between two people, but some of them sparked a feeling in Changbin that he hadn't ever felt before.  He knew he loved the boy, but the feeling was something other than love, something that he didn't know how to describe.

Changbin had been through various moments that carried strong feelings in his life.  Some of them were good feelings, like the first time he had learned how to ride a bike, or the first time he had ever performed on stage in front of people.  But there were also times that carried bad feelings, like when his father had first learned about Changbin's extracurricular activity and had destroyed his lyric book.  Or when he had learned that his father tried to buy out Chan's family store.  Needless to say, his father left the store with a bruised face and Changbin spent the night at Chan's icing his bruised knuckles.

But everything that involved Felix, and this moment in particular, sparked a completely new and different feeling in Changbin.  He'd be lying if he said it didn't scare him, but he'd also be lying if he said he didn't like it.  The feeling was both scary and comforting to him, and he didn't want it to leave.  It was strange, how his life could change so much in the span of a single year, yet it wasn't bad.  A small smile graced Changbin's lips as he remembered his and Felix's first encounter on the roof of the school.

"Didn't expect to see another person up here." The voice was rather deep and it surprised Changbin.  He turned his head to see a guy, who looked to be his age, standing next to him.  His hands were in the pocket of his hoodie and he was wearing a black beanie.  He was sure, but the kid looked familiar to Changbin.  He just couldn't place where he had seen him before.

"Mind if I sit?" The kid asked as he turned his head to look at Changbin.  Changbin nodded and watched as the other sat down next to him.  "I'm Felix by the way," Felix held out his hand to Changbin, he slowly took it and shook it.

"Changbin."

"Well, nice to meet you Changbin."

There was so much about Felix that Changbin didn't know back then.  He honestly didn't even think he'd ever end up dating him, but again, he didn't mind the surprise twist in his life.  His mind continuously replayed moments between him and Felix, small little memories that Changbin began to grow very fond of.

"Hey," He said as he approached Felix.  "Where's Jeongin?  Didn't he say he was gonna stick with you?" Changbin asked as he leaned to look at what Felix was holding.  Choco pies? He asked himself as he examined the box of sweets.

Felix laughed and put the box back on the shelf.  "Ah, yeah but some of the other guys dragged him off somewhere so I've just kind of been wandering," Felix shrugged and turned to Changbin.  "You ready to check out?  I can walk with you, if you don't mind."

Changbin nodded in response to Felix's question, but then pointed to the box of Choco Pies.  "Yeah, but did you want to get those?" Changbin asked as he picked up the box, checking the price.

"Oh, well I was just looking at them.  We have a similar thing in Australia and it just kind of made me homesick," Felix smiled shyly but politely took the box from Changbin and placed it back on the shelf.  "It's okay though, I don't need them or anything.  Besides, I don't have any money to pay you back with."

Changbin shook his head and grabbed the box off of the shelf and put it in his basket.  "It's alright, I'm buying Hyunjin and Seungmin Pocky, so it's okay," Changbin smiled and started walking away.  When he noticed that Felix wasn't following, he turned around and laughed.  "Are you coming?" Felix just smiled and jogged to catch up with Changbin.

-

"Did you get the answer to number four?" Felix's voice was thrown across the room.  Changbin, who was sitting on the floor beside Felix's bed, nodded and stood up, moving towards his boyfriend.

"Yeah, I got three over five, what did you get?" He asked as he leaned over the boy's shoulder, inspecting the sheet of math problems.

Felix chuckled and shrugged.  "I didn't get anything, that's why I asked you for the answer, so thanks!" Felix smiled and gave Changbin a thumbs up.  Changbin just rolled his eyes and ruffled the boy's hair.

"You owe me a kiss then," he said playfully as he took his seat back down on the floor.

Felix clicked his tongue and got up from his desk chair.  He walked over to Changbin and quickly leaned down, placing a quick peck on his lips before walking back to his chair.  Changbin just smiled and looked back down at his own work, a feeling of contentment washing over him.

-

"Yah!  Felix, wait up!" Changbin yelled as he ran to catch up to an excited and springing Felix.  Changbin had texted him, saying that he wanted to take Felix out to meet with Jinyoung and Jaebum, and Felix practically exploded.

After finally managing to catch up to the latter, Changbin rested a hand on Felix's shoulder as he caught his breath.  "Why are you so excited anyway?" He asked, straightening himself up.

Felix grasped Chanbgin's shoulders and shook him.  "Because I finally get to meet the two people that practically made my boyfriend the amazing person he is today!" Felix had stopped shaking Changbin and was just looking at him lovingly.  Changbin returned the gaze and the two intertwined their hands and made their way down the sidewalk, talking nonsense the entire way.

-

Changbin sat in the quiet room, staring at his shoes.  School was long past over, but Changbin had stayed behind to work on a song he and Chan had been working on together.  He was stuck in some sort of daze though, just kind of spacing out.

"Bin?" At the mention of his name, Changbin looked up to see Felix standing in the door way of the small practice room.  "What are you still doing here?"

Changbin just stared at Felix for a second before he registered the question he had been asked.  "Oh, I was working on a song but I had spaced out a bit."  He asked honestly and Felix nodded.  He leaned on the doorframe, holding the door open by the handle.

"Do you know what time it is?" Felix asked, his expression soft.  Changbin shook his head and Felix's lips curved into a slight smile.  "Come on Bin, let's head home." Changbin nodded and gathered his things before walking out with Felix.  The two walked side by side, their arms brushing one another for a while before Changbin decided to just grab onto Felix's hand.  The sudden action caught Felix by surprise, but he relaxed quickly and the two walked in a comfortable silence, enjoying the fresh evening air.

So much had happened in such little time between him and Felix, and even though it was all small things, they were all very significant to Changbin.  His eyelids grew heavy as he continued to reminisce about his and Felix's memories together, and he eventually drifted off into a very peaceful sleep.
