The sound of someone knocking softly on his bedroom door woke Changbin up from a sleep that he didn't know he had fallen in to. He sat up on his bed, his eyes still shut from being tired.
"Bin?" Jisung's voice could be heard softly from the other side of the door. Changbin didn't say anything, he just rubbed his eyes and looked around his room so Jisung took it upon himself to open the door and peak in. "Hey, you're up." He said with a small smile and opened the door the rest of the way.
Changbin just looked at him then looked around his room again. "Where's Felix?" He said in a raspy, tired voice. Jisung moved and sat on the edge of Changbin's bed.
"Felix is at school. He texted me early this morning, around two. He told me everything that happened. Are you okay, Changbin?" Jisung asked, his voice filled with worry for his best friend.
Changbin kept quiet for a minute then let out a short laugh and shurgged. "Yeah, I mean, I don't really know what else I should have expected from the bastard." The room fell quiet for a moment. "What time is it?" Changbin asked, trying to get out of the silence.
Jisung pulled his phone from his pocket and pressed the home button. "10:53."
Changbin rubbed his eyes again then threw his blanket off to the side. "Aren't you missing classes right now?" He asked, an eyebrow raised in question towards Jisung.
"Yeah, but my best friend is more important right now. Do you feel like going in today?" Jisung asked and Changbin shrugged. "Well, if not, we can go back to my place and watch some crappy horror movies. I know those always make you feel better." Jisung said with a cheeky smile and Changbin chuckled.
"Alright, give me a second to get dressed. I'll meet you downstairs." Jisung nodded and got up from his bed. He made sure to shut the door behind him, since it was the polite thing to do.
Changbin walked into the living room about ten minutes later. Jisung was sitting on the couch scrolling through his phone but quickly out it away when he noticed Changbin. "Ready?" He asked and pulled out a set of keys from his pocket.
"Since when did you have a car?" Changbin asked as the two made their way to the front door.
"Pfft, I wish I had a car. Woojin let me borrow his once I told him what was going on. He said that Minho is gonna drop him off at my place after school so he can pick it up." Jisung explained and Changbin let out an 'ah' in response.
The ride to Jisung's was short and simple, aside from the fact that the two almost died when Jisung swerved to avoid hitting a squirrel that had run into the street. Changbin was still complaining as they pulled into Jisung's driveway.
"All I'm saying is that the squirrel would have been fine! First off, it was far enough away from us that we could have driven past it and not had a problem. Second, you could have easily have stepped on the breaks instead of practically running us off the goddamn road!" Changbin shouted as the two walked up the driveway. "I'm telling your mom to never let you get a car..." He muttered as Jisung opened the door.
"Come one dude, it wasn't that bad," Jisung tried defending himself, but he knew Changbin was right. "Hi Mom! I brought Changbin over, if that's alright!" Jisung shouted and slid off his shoes.
"Jisung? What are you doing back from school so early?" Jisung's mom called back from somewhere in the house. Changbin chuckled at the two shouting back and forth with each other.
"Changbin got sick so I brought him home!" Jisung told a little white like, but no harm could come from it.
Suddenly a door could be heard being slammed open, followed by the sound of hurried foot steps. Eventually, Jisung's mother appeared in front of them from around a corner. "Changbin's sick? Oh you poor baby," Jisung's mom approached Changbin and held his face in her hands, squishing his cheeks. "Oh, you poor thing! This must be why your mother called me!" Suddenly, Changbin's amused expression changed into a sour and confused one.
Slowly, he pryed Mrs. Han's hands off of his face. "My mom? She called you?" He asked, his voice a bit shaky.
The older woman nodded. "Oh sweety, she calls me all the time! She has me give her updates on how you're doing since she's so busy all the time! She called me just last night asking if I knew how you were doing." Mrs. Han had no idea why what she had just said had upset Changbin, but Changbin felt like he couldn't breath. All this time he had spent hating both of his parents. He hated their existence, he hated everything about them. He wouldn't have cared if either of them had just disappeared from the face of the Earth. At least he did. Now, with this new information, Changbin suddenly felt like the worst person alive.
"Changbin?" Jisung asked quietly and placed a hand softly on his shoulder. "Are you okay?"
Changbin looked at him with wide eyes and shook his head. "I'm a terrible son..." His voice was low and quiet.
"What?" Mrs. Han asked, confused about the sudden turn in events. Jisung just shook his head and mouthed an I'll tell you later at her. She needed nothing else to tell her that it would be best if she left the two boys be, so she walked away from the two.
"Come on, let's go to my room." Jisung said quietly and lead Changbin up the stairs.
"I just don't understand," Changbin finally spoke up once the two were in Jisung's room. Jisung shut his door and took a seat in his desk chair while Changbin sat crisscrossed on his bed. "Why would she act so cold towards me? Why wouldn't she just show me that she cared?"
"Well, maybe it has something to do with your dad?" Jisung asked. Changbin just huffed.
"Ugh, I can't think about this right now. What movies do you got for me?" Changbin asked, desperate to change the subject.
"Oh!" Jisung jumped up from his chair. "My mom's boss's nephew works in the states and sent him a bunch of horrible sci-fi slash horror films. He didn't want them so he gave them to my mom who gave them to me." Suddenly, a shoebox filled with DVDs was dropped in front of Changbin.
Changbin leaned over and picked one up, reading the title outloud. "Sharknado?" He gave Jisung a questioning look, but Jisung shrugged.
"Mom said they're all subbed so I mean, why not watch them?" He said as he picked up another disc.
"Why the hell would we watch something called 'Piranhaconda'?" Changbin said with a shocked laugh as he ran his hand over the DVDs.
"Heh, dude check this one out" Jisung said with a smirk as he held out a DVD in front of Changbin.
"Jaws 3? What is with America and making so many movie sequels?"
Jisung laughed and tossed the disc back into the box. "I don't know dude, but it gives us entertaining movies to watch so I mean, it's a win for us."
After looking through the movies repeatedly, the two stumbled across a movie that actually seemed good.
"47 Meters Down?" Changbin asked as he checked the back of the case. He immediately handed it to Jisung after realizing it was all in English.
He was quiet for a second as he read the back then snapped his fingers. "It's about two girls that go into one of those cages you can see sharks from and the cage breaks with them stuck inside and they have to try and swim back up before their oxygen runs out or before a shark eats them basically."
"What's the point of even watching the movie then? What else could possibly happen that would make that movie interesting now?"
Jisung groaned and threw the movie at Changbin. "They aren't supposed to be good movies you jackass! The box is labeled 'Awful Horror Movies' for a reason! Besides, I actually wanna watch this one, it seems good." Before Changing could protest, Jisung snatched the case back and was putting the disc into his Xbox.
"Do you have popcorn at least?" Changbin asked with a pout, causing Jisung to chuckle slightly.
"Yeah, who watches a movie without popcorn?"
Changbin shrugged and scooched off the bed. "I don't know how you live your movie watching life bro." The two laughed and made their way downstairs to make their popcorn.

I've kinda been in a shlump lately, but I'm getting back to my normal self so I shall be updating more regularly now!!! I really am sorry for neglecting you guys😭😭😭. Buuuuut, we are nearing the end of this story *insert wiggle fingers here*. I don't know exactly WHEN I will be ending this story but it's soon. Don't worry tho, the Sequel won't be far behind it so look forward to that. Oh, and for the sequel, it's going to be more focused on both of them. This one was more about Changbin's life and his viewpoint on everything, but the sequel will have both. I'll probably have it more focused on Felix in the beginning and you guys will understand why whenever it gets published, but yeah. Anyway, how have you guys been?
