Chapter 1- Something stirring
Gameknight999 stood up. He looked around at the blocky landscape, the squarish trees swaying in an unseen breeze, a swirling mist surrounding it all.
"No," he said "it can't be... I haven't been in the Land of Dreams since..." The unwanted memories of his battle against Herobrine five years ago came flowing back. He had been in the Land of Dreams then, a place just between sleeping and waking. He looked around again. No, there was no doubt about it, this was definitely the Land of Dreams. He sighed.
"What am I supposed to do now?" He asked no one in particular. Every time that he had been in the Land of Dreams, he had learned something important. He sat down on a log, waiting. A few minutes later, Hunter came running up out of the mist, her bright red curls bouncing on her back. Hunter, too, was a dreamwalker, a person who could travel to the Land of Dreams.
"Hunter!" Gameknight said, quickly standing up. "What's going on? I've never been in the Land of Dreams except when I'm in Minecraft! How is it possible that now, after five years, I come back when I'm in the real world?" Gameknight's battle against Herobrine had taken place inside Minecraft, after his father's only working invention, the digitizer, zapped him inside the game, which suddenly became all too much more than a game.
"It's because, we think, Minecraft is somehow becoming closer to your reality! We don't know how, but a few people have been pulled into Minecraft without the Gateway of Light." The Gateway of Light was what the villagers called the digitizer. Hunter was a villager who Gameknight had met in his adventures, along with her sister, Sticher. The rest of their family had been killed in the war.
"What does Crafter think?" Gameknight asked. Crafter was the leader of the village Gameknight had stumbled upon in his first few nights trapped in Minecraft, and he had quickly become his best friend. All villagers were named for there job within the village, and each village had a Crafter who ran the village from a secret chamber, the crafting chamber, concealed beneath each village's church.
"None of us knows what to think," Hunter replied " We've been helping them all, we can, but soon it will be too much for us to handle." She looked straight into Gameknight's eyes. "I think we may just need you, user-that-is-not-a-user." He sighed.
"Well... I'll think about it..." Gameknight's first and second trips into Minecraft had been terrifying and both had nearly killed him, but if Minecraft was becoming closer to reality, he would have to sooner or later. "Alright, Hunter, tell Crafter I'm coming. I'll come as soon as I wake up."
"Good," Hunter said smiling "meet you there!" She ran of into the mist and Gameknight forced himself to wake up.
Gameknight snapped awake, and was relieved to find himself in his bedroom. He got up, checking the time. 7:00 am. Good, he thought, everyone else is asleep. He ran down to the basement, where the digitizer lay, innocently pointed at the wall. Gameknight sat down at his father's computer, the one that ran Minecraft really fast. He logged into Minecraft, his character appearing on the screen, decked out in sky blue and lime green. Sighing, he stepped in front of the digitizer and turned it on. The blast of colorful light hit Gameknight in the stomach, enveloping him in a twirling light. He had done this two times before, but that made the sensation no less unpleasant.
A/N Wow, that went a LOT better than expected! I'll update whenever I can hopefully at least daily. Hope you enjoyed it! This chapter is dedicated to the original Gameknight999 series. If you haven't read it go read it NOW!
