gender crisis averted
okay
so being pansexual sometimes makes for an interesting brain. but only sometimes *cough* sarcasm *cough*
anyways. I had been feeling seriously weird and like out my own skin for a while, like a few years really.
and the more I've been reading about people's experiences and the more I listen to you guys and the more I speak to kids in my classes about being misgendered and confused, and not knowing exactly where you belong and I've come to the conclusion.
For I while I had been calling myself genderfluid, thinking about how that's probably the best way to explain my flip floppiness. but the more I reflect in on myself I realize that a lot of the things I've been saying are words.
I know you're thinking, "yeah? you dork obviously they're words."
and that's all they are. Our languages and alphabets are nothing more than simple noises and recording items. I guess what I'm saying is that corny you are who you are bullshit but that's the best way to say it.
being misgendered by other people isn't a problem, at least to me. I look like a girl, but sometimes I feel like a boy, and sometimes I dress like one. I am a girl, in physical senses, and I'm often paying attention to males and females the way a girl would, and dress like it too.
But in reality femininity and masculinity are just stupid categorizations.
I am me. That's all I am. That's all you are. you are you, and no matter what gender you go by shouldn't stress you out or make you sad, and stressing over being misgendered by strangers or people you haven't blatantly told is like pointless, because it's going to happen.
And don't let people make fun of you. If you don't have the balls to stand up for yourself though, sit back and realize you are the better person, and honestly more intelligence and mature person in that situation. I'm friends with a boy who has big doe eyes, a delicate nose, and blonde curls. His friends would tease him about how he looked like a girl and today he told these kids didn't give a fuck whether or not he looked like a chick. he said "Fuck, I sure am a pretty one then. It doesn't matter what you call me. i know exactly who I am." and walked away calmly.
like wow
his friends were stunned and I laughed so hard.
Empowerment comes with confidence.
So if you're feeling confused, or someone is making you feel that way, then make them eat their words and take a step back to notice how small and insignificant things are when you are true to yourself.
