Joker X reader "Fools" part 2

I really enjoyed writing the first one, so I'm super excited for part 2! Okie dokie. Let's get to the story! Enjoy~

"Time!" The smash announcer yelled over the speakers.
You grinned at Joker, your partner in the team battle you guys had just won, and ran over to him. It had been approximately one week since that morning at the caffe, when Joker had asked you to be more than just a friend.

"That was great!" You said, running towards your boyfriend. He picked you up and spun you around in a hug.
"You were amazing love." He smiled, setting you down.

"You did most of the work!" You huffed, poking his cheek.
"We both know that's not true." He grinned, holding out his arm for you. You looped yours through his and made your way off the stage.

As you walked through Smash Mansion, you couldn't help but notice other couples doing, well...coupley things.
Zelda was reading in the lobby, with Link leaning over her shoulder and smiling. Lucina was feeding Robin ice cream as he flipped through the pages of his book. Even Luigi and Daisy were going for a stroll hand in hand through the gardens.

You looked up at Joker, who seemed to be watching the other couples as well.
"Do you think we should try to do something, er, coupley?" You asked, tilting your head.

"I, uh, suppose we could try." Joker nodded, a bit self-conscious. "I'll write down a list of things to try, and you do the same. And then we'll alternate through our lists until we find something we like." Joker smiled at you. "But right now darling, I need to be on stage for a few one on one battles." He kissed the top of your head.

"Okay." You smiled. Sometimes you wondered how you had ever gotten so lucky.
You watched him as he turned to leave before running to your room to start on your list.

"Hmmm." You thought, twirling your pen with your fingers. "Ah-ha!"
You grinned, starting to scribble some things down on a lined piece of paper. A faint blush covered your cheeks as you thought of as many cute coupley things as you could, making sure to write down everything that popped into your head.

Ten minutes later there was a knock at the door. "Oh, right on time." You laughed, skipping over to the door. You flung it open to see Joker standing in the hall. You invited him in, and grabbed some lemonade from the standard mini-fridge in your room. You  poured two glasses and handed one to Joker, who was sitting at the end of your bed. He took a sip from his glass as you sat down next to him.

"First off, how'd the match go?" You asked curiously.
"Oh! Very well. I was able to claim victory with a whole stock left. Though I suppose that's not all that impressive since I was fighting against a small dog with a duck perched on its back." He looked to you with a charming smile before quickly changing his expression and plastering on a goofy grin. He normally put on a very serious and focused persona (pun intended), so it was great to see him in his own natural element. You couldn't help but blush to think about how close you two had grown in such a short time. You could recall Robin saying that the bonds between people grow much faster when they're forced to rely on each other in combat, but you would be a joker (pun intended) to pretend that you only spent time together on the battlefield. {For example, you also fought on Final Destination, Yoshi's Island, Pokémon Stadium... I'm sorry. I'll try to stop joking now... *Ahem* where were we? Oh! Yes!}
Joker looked at you with a small smirk on his face. "Are you wearing blush, or are you simply overwhelmed by my good looks?" he asked. You grinned back, your face flushing a deep crimson.

"S-shut up." You said, playfully nudging him.
He chuckled, putting his glass down on your nightstand. "So what's on your list?"

"Okay, first up, we have going on a walk through the garden." You answered, looking over your list.

"Sounds good to me." Joker nodded, taking your hand in his. "Shall we?"
You grinned at him. "Yes we shall."
You said in a British accent.
"You're adorable." He shook his head.
"You're adorable!" You repeated him, pulling him outside with you. After walking in the garden for a bit, the two of you came back to your room.

"So, on a scale of one to ten- what would you rate that experience?" You asked, pulling out the pen behind your ear, and a notebook.

"Ten. Because it was with you." Joker winked at you. "Come on! I need your feedback!" You giggled
"Oh fine. I'll give it an eight." He smiled at you.
"Now one off my list." He said, pulling out a neatly-folded piece of paper from his jacket. "Okay, I have 'get ice cream'." He said, fidgeting with his glasses.

He had taken off his mask after his Smash battles, and was now wearing his school uniform. It kind of made him look like a nerd, albeit an adorable nerd.

"Alrighty then. I doubt there's any way that I could not enjoy eating ice cream." You laughed. "Especially eating ice cream with you!" You winked.

Joker's face turned red. "Aha! I made you bluuuuuusshhhh." You teased him In a sing-song voice. "No fair... It's my job to make you blush." Joker pouted.

"What type of Ice cream are you going to get?" You asked him, walking towards the ice cream stand.
"Whatever you get." He replied without hesitating.

"Okay." You smiled, ordering two of (flavor of you choice) ice creams.
You brought the cones back to Joker, and you two started making your way back to the mansion. "This is delicious." Joker beamed.
"I know." You smirked.

You walked to your room, finishing off the last bit of your ice cream. "Ok, how would you rate that experience?"  You asked.

"Ten out of ten." Joker responded. "Ice cream is delicious."

"Yeah I agree." You laughed.
"Okay, now one off my list... holding hands in public."

Joker doubled over laughing.

"What's so funny?" You demanded, though it was hard to keep a straight face. His laugh was contagious.

"Holding hands in public?!?" He burst out laughing again.

"Yeah. What's funny about that? That's what couples do!" You insisted.

"Whatever you say love." Joker took a deep breath to try to calm himself down. "But where exactly is 'the public' ?"

"I don't know." You huffed, "Just, pick somewhere I guess."

The two of you walked throughout the Smash mansion holding hands. You couldn't decide on just one place, so you went all over. By the time you made it back to your room, almost a whole hour had passed.

"Hmm. That one was weird." You said, marking it off in your list.
"A bit." Joker grinned, "But it was still enjoyable."

"Okay- let's try one more thing off your list, and then we'll be done with these lists for today." You said, putting the list in your desk drawer and sitting on the bed next to Joker.

"Hmm. Only one more thing." He pondered, looking over his list.
"Aha. Well what's next on my list is 'kiss'." He smiled at you charmingly.

Your cheeks turned bright pink, and you whole body tensed up.

Joker pushed himself off your bed, and offered you his hand. You took it hesitantly, and he pulled you up.

He put one had on your chin, and tilted it upwards. You didn't really know what to do, so you just wrapped your arms around his neck.
He dropped both his hands down to your waist, and pulled you in a bit closer.

"Wait wait wait!" You smiled. "It's foolish to kiss someone who you just started dating, don't you think?" You teased him.

"Then I guess I'm a still fool~"
Joker smiled, that same warm smile he reserved just for you.
He placed his lips on yours in a gentle kiss.

After a moment, you pulled apart.

"Yeah..." You blushed. "But your my fool."
