Meeting With Complications

Dolion approached with his hands in his outside pockets at the edges of his coat. By the time he approached the two, he noticed Ace was standing in an outfit that didn't belong to him. It was a plain yellow tank top with blue shorts like someone would wear to practice at school. He was holding the ball underneath one arm and laughing along with Casper. They were obviously catching up on old times as if they were separated for longer than a week. Ace seemed to be laughing like his friend just told him a joke but abruptly stopped once he laid eyes on Dolion.

" What are you doing here?" He remarked in a snarky way.

The oldest boy knew Ace didn't trust him. Period. Most boys and some staff members didn't trust him. They all thought he was only friendly to a person when he wanted something, which in their defense was true.

" I was asked to come along. Needed help finding your ass." Dolion remarked with crossed arms, making sure it was under the section Bina was in.

" Wait how..." Dolion could tell by Ace's face he just realized how he knew so much. " Group." Ace hung his head. " You actually listened to me in group. You figured I was here didn't you?"

Dolion didn't make any remark, just shrugging his shoulders.

" So that means you two aren't here for a friendly visit." He looked over at Casper. " You AWOLed didn't you?"

Casper's face went a bit red since it was embarrassing to admit. " Maybe."

" What were you thinking?" It was obvious that her friend was getting worked up. He was standing there confused and ranting at the same time. He honestly couldn't understand why Casper of all people, the goody-two-shoes, would pull a stunt like this, but then Ace's gaze went over towards Dolion. " It was you wasn't it?" Ace dropped his basketball making it bounce onto the ground twice in a row then roll off into the grass. " What in the world would you gain from dragging Casper out here just to find me?"

Dolion raised his hands in the air in defense. He knew Ace would do anything for his friends. He's even heard of him getting into fights to defend younger youths at the house. He was a major jerk, but he considered himself the type of person to right a wrong when present and not allow Staff to drag their feet to fix a problem. Dolion heard of a story where a twelve-year-old was hit in the head by a fifteen-year-old. It wasn't even a punch. It was one of those "you are being stupid" hits. A day later Ace punched the guy in the back, leaving a bruise, saying not to lay a hand on a kid again.

Ace grabbed a hold of Dolion's jacket the best he could. If he was just a bit taller, maybe even stronger, he would be lifting Dolion off the ground. For now though all he could do was choke him with his own collar. " Seriously. Why? This was my decision. You put Casper in danger just to get something out of me. So what is it?"

Casper wasn't quick enough to process the situation in front of him. Not quick enough anyway.

" In my defense, it wasn't my idea and if I was you I would let go of me you may just end up harming someone you don't want to."

" Oh right now it's only going to be you, and I want to so badly punch you just for jeopardizing Casper's way out of here." The worked up giant was in the moment. Ready to defend his friend since he didn't have any adults watching his every move.

The calm giant collected himself and ran over to Ace. " Hey! Hey, Ace seriously calm down. It was my decision in all honesty." He started to stumble out the last part. He just couldn't get it out quick enough. " He means Bina."

Ace released Dolion causing him to stumble. Ace's eyes grew into round saucers while he was breathing heavily. He was trying to calm down his body, plus look all over Dolion's body to spot the small girl from the home.

If it was appropriate the jerk would be smiling from ear to ear just seeing Ace go from Mr. Protector to a worried mother hen over something he couldn't even see. All Casper had to do was mention her name, and he completely doubted his own actions. Dolion would have to remember that for the future. He raised one hand into the air while he slowly slipped his other hand into the inside of his jacket. He could feel that Bina was awake, probably from all the jostling, and grasped her in a fist to make the anticipation for Ace all that much worse. Dolion slowly and steadily took his hand out like he was handing over a gun, but instead opened his hand to reveal a frightened and concerned girl. He could tell from here she had no idea what was happening. Poor thing probably woke up at the jostled movement Ace was causing, not even realizing it was him.

The runaway watched with anticipation. From the way Dolion was grabbing her he couldn't see anything. In all honesty he couldn't even tell if she was even in his hand. He had to just trust that the boy wasn't trying to trick him into a sense of security. Slowly Dolion opened up his hand to reveal the short black-haired, spunky girl from the home. He would be lying to himself if he said he actually didn't miss her too. " Hey pipsqueak? What's with all this hiding business?" Ace asked, looking towards her with a genuine smile on his face.

Bina opened up her eyes and looked around. Her face lit up just a bit when she saw Ace right in front of her, but just as quickly developed a scowl on her face that Ace had never seen before.

Dolion was intrigued by what she would do, especially at this size, so he easily handed her over to Ace. Ace extended his hand out but was surprised when Dolion just had her slide off his hand into his. He could hear her let out a bit of a screech, but corrected her clothing to look proper and looked right at Ace. Like he was the one who just caused her all this trouble.

"How dare you? You left! How could you just up and leave and not tell me! Me of all people?"She ran across his hand, towards his arm, then attempted to climb his arm. Ace was trying to hide a smile at her actions because he knew this was serious to her. So he placed the opposite hand under her; she dropped down, and he placed her on his shoulder.

" You just up and left me! How could you do that?" She walked over to his face and slapped him, even though both knew it wouldn't do anything." I had to get Casper and jerk wad over there to help me! Do you know what I had to go through to get Dolion to come out here? Let's just say he isn't my favorite person I know."

Dolion looked over at her with an exaggerated expression of hurt and held his chest. " Ouch. I thought I did ok having to put up with an annoying borrower in my ear all the time."

Bina turned around to now show her wrath to an uncaring giant. " You need to shut up! I am not even done with you. Ever since we meet, you have taken advantage of me even more than Ace does, and I am getting tired of it. I know I owe you a favor, but come on."

Ace and Casper were just amazed by her. Neither have seen her like this. She was starting to speak her mind, but this was like she had a bunch bundled up inside of her that she never voiced to them. Ace honestly just looked at the ground because he was ashamed he made her feel all this, and she never told him, he didn't even know he was handling her not too kindly when he was around, she never said anything, but who would expect her too honestly.

While Bina was yelling at Dolion, and he was just chuckling and brushing off her "tantrum" as Dolion called it, Ace looked down at her from his shoulder. He noticed she was pointing at Dolion and just shouting. In Ace's head all he could do was think, did I see something? Any human would be surprised to notice anything on the arm of a borrower on their shoulder. Honestly seemed impossible. The thing was she was wearing a long sleeve shirt that was green and while she was pointing it looked like there was a hint of purple that should not be there. Ace suddenly grabbed her in a fist.

" Hey! Ace! This is exactly what I am talking about."

Ace very carefully held her in a fist while she struggled. He then took two fingers from his opposite hand and pushed up her sleeve. He noticed some purple on her arms. Ace then carefully moved her shirt up. Bina screamed in protest. " I'm not trying to remove it. What is this?"

Bina looked down and noticed the bruises starting to develop. She looked away. " Ace it's nothing. This isn't what I am talking about. I am talking about."

" How. Did. It. Happen."

Bina took a breath and looked away. " It was from Dolion when we first met."

That's all it took for the already worked up giant to get angry. Casper could see from where he was standing that Ace was getting upset. He walked over and tapped Ace on the shoulder. " Ace. You need to hand over Bina before you do something we all regret."

The snarky fifteen year old handed Bina over but immediately ran over tackling Dolion to the ground. He started to yell and punch any surface he could get a hold of. A few times Ace missed and hit the ground, making his knuckles bleed and become horribly red. Didn't help that Dolion could handle himself in fights, but he was a lot better at using a person against themselves. So all he had to do was avoid punches the best he could and cross his arms over his body, so he would take fewer impacts, then just wait for the perfect time. He noticed Ace's knuckles were having it with punching the ground several times, so he took that opportunity to use his momentum and roll, so now the two were rolling around on the ground trying to see who could stabilize first and come out on top.

Bina could only watch in horror. She just met Ace again and now he was in a fight, rolling across the ground because of her big mouth. She looked up at Casper with pleading eyes. " Do something."

He looked down at the girl like she was crazy. " No! What am I supposed to do?"

"What do you mean? Break them up! I've seen you fight before. Go in there and help. " She said frantically just watching both with her eyes.

"I was beyond thinking logically at that point, and that guy was beating up a kid. I... I don't" The boy who was not fighting just watched trying to anticipate the outcome. " Ace can take care of himself"

(There are a few times when Casper has been in a fight. The problem is when he says he wasn't thinking straight, he literally wasn't. He saw a younger kid getting beat up and another time a friend of his who was not good at fighting. Casper was not thinking straight and started to throw punches to teach the bully a lesson. It took three staff members just to get Casper off of the other kid. So he is a neutral party until he absolutely has to step in.)

Bina squirmed around in his grip. She wanted out, and she wanted out now.

"What are you doing? You'll be injured."Casper tried to explain before she ended up getting out of his grip. Casper got down on one knee, so if she did get free from his grip she wouldn't fall. The problem with that was Bina did get free, and she landed on the ground taking off before the Giant could even grab her a second time. " Bina!"

Bina ran towards the two as fast as she could. She has no idea how she was going to stop this from continuing, but she couldn't take it anymore. She watched as the oldest of the two gained the upper hand and was punching Ace straight in the face, unlike Ace who was just punching to get damage, Dolion was aiming and putting all his power into the punches to make damage. He was trying to teach Ace he was not the top dog here.

Ace grabbed Dolion's fist and when that didn't work he tried kicking and pushing Dolion off by his face. If he could get something sensitive, he would have to get off.

Bina stopped short before getting in the middle. She wasn't stupid. She ran through the limited possibilities until she came to one. " Ace! You need to seriously stop!" She knew from observing Dolion he would stop once his opponent stopped. He wasn't one to continue when the opponent was done. He was only making sure he won if both were participating. " It was an accident." She ran as close as she could, luckily dodging when a flying arm came her direction or piece of clothing.

The one controlling the situation noticed Bina immediately and stopped his struggling. He saw Ace attempting to hit one more time, taking an opportunity. So Dolion grabbed both of his hands and pinned them down. He then sat right on his hips to restrain this legs better, but also stop him from getting up. He looked over at Bina trying to figure out what she was doing.

" Ace you realize this isn't the first time this has happened right? When we first meet it happened. You were just as rough, but you got better."

The pinned down giant looked over towards Bina and realizing she was this close, stopped struggling. He could feel his arms and legs being pinned down by Dolion.

Bina approached and placed a hand on his arm. " I'm not saying Dolion isn't a jerk. Cause he still is. Does he deserve to be punched? Yeah, well maybe. But not for why you're angry when it happened around you too."

The one being called a jerk released one arm at a time to make sure Ace was finished. He then stood up releasing Ace from the pin. He extended one arm out to help Ace up but ended up being kicked right in the leg. Bina ran back towards the frightened boy, anticipating another fight when all four froze.

"Step away from each other!" Casper looked over at the stern voice and hung his head. He, like the others, saw blue and red lights flashing. Bina ran over towards Casper and dived into the cup of his pant leg. This night was going to be even longer.

Hey so sorry about the wait. I hope you like this part of the story. Ace did not take Dolion's treatment of her very well, but he had a realization. On top of that they were caught by the cops. Great. So how do you think this will affect Ace's and Bina's relationship? Don't forget to vote and follow if you want more! Both chapters ( This one and previsous one) took me a total of maybe five hours each to write and edit. Multiple days. SO please tell me if the wait was worth it.
