5 | Warmth of A Chilly Night
Junmyeon had to stay back because one of the staff fell sick and he decided to take up the shift considering he didn't have anything else to do. As he was ready to close down the shop, he noticed a familiar silhouette and simply called out, "Just come in, it's pretty cold outside."
"I didn't mind, the chill is pretty soothing you know," Hikari replied as she pushed the door and stepped inside. She then sat on a random table and looked at Junmyeon, "Plus, you didn't have to shout, your expression easily tells me that you wanted me to come inside."
"What brings you out here at this time of night?" Junmyeon questioned as he hung his apron before he went to the sink to wash his hands.
"You know that I was tutoring kids in the evening right?" she asked and he hummed as a yes. Nodding at his response, she continued, "And today happens to be one of the kids' birthday and they wanted me to stay."
"So it finished a bit late... and... you made sure that their parents all picked them up," he spoke and before he could continue, Hikari finished his sentence for him, "I decided to swing by to see you if you'd still be here and you are."
"You should have at least a sweater or jacket in your car, considering you drove instead of taking the train today," Junmyeon said with a slight sigh but his lips still curved up into a small smile.
"I didn't think I'd need one, plus if I had one in the car, they would always make sure there's nothing in the car..." Hikari gave an excuse but was greeted with silence. Looking around, Junmyeon was nowhere to be found.
But it wasn't long because Junmyeon came out from the staff room after putting on a sweater and held another one in hand. Handing the sweater to Hikari, he urged her to wear it, "Wear this before you get a cold."
Taking his sweater, Hikari held it close to her face and smiled against the fabric, "I can just keep this right?"
"Only if you remember to wear it whenever you decided to stay out on cold nights like this," Junmyeon replied, side hugging Hikari and tilting her head to lean against him.
