Junmyeon had been staring at the ceiling from the moment he woke up, the shy smile stubborn to leave his lips. He turned to his left and pulled out his phone from under his pillow with his right hand.

The moment his phone came unlocked, he went for his chat with Hikari and finally read her goodnight messages from the night before.

I rested well

But as Junmyeon was typing, Hikari had already replied. It only made the smile on his lips grew.

Junmyeon just stared at Hikari's messages and had his thumbs lingering above his keyboard. He took in a deep breath and let it out. He tapped a button instead of typing his reply.

He brought his phone to his ear and he started to hear the beeps.

One. Two. Three. 

"Hello Junmyeon," Hikari greeted him and he chuckled as he heard Hikari's cheery voice.

"You don't really call me and even more shocking, it's a call so early in the morning," Hikari said before she stopped, "is there–"

"I dreamt of you," Junmyeon said, stopping Hikari mid-question.

"I just thought I wanted to tell you that the moment I woke up," Junmyeon paused to hear Hikari's breath.

He smiled before continuing, "It was us and two other people, Sehun and his girlfriend. And I was about to show you the place I grew up in. At my grandparents' place."

"I felt bittersweet the moment I woke up because I wish it was real. I wanted to show you the place that held a lot of memories for me. I felt sad because I wish that could have been real," Junmyeon gave out a sigh as he stopped.

"What's the sweet part of it?" Hikari carefully asked

"It made me think of my past and the happy memories I shared with my grandparents," Junmyeon replied and ended it with a sigh of relief.

"But you want to know what's the real bittersweet moment is?" Junmyeon asked and got a 'huh' from Hikari.

"The fact that I missed you when I parted with you in my dream but woke up to remembering how I'll see you again soon," Junmyeon paused.

"I miss you."

"I miss you Hikari."

Junmyeon almost choked up as he said that and his eyes were starting to build up tears.

A comfortable silence stood between them before Junmyeon heard a soft stifle from the other side.

"I miss you too."

"I think I miss you just as much because," Hikari paused as her voice started to go hoarse.

"I dreamt of you as well "
