Harry Potter walked to his first class, sitting next to his Slytherin frenemy, Draco Malfoy. Harry felt somewhat disappointed that he was forced to sit next to him, but he was also relieved he didn't sit next to a complete stranger. Harry turns sixteen in less then a week, 5 days to be exact. Hogwarts made it very clear about people's birthdays and when they were. Draco looked more unfocused then usual, like he was focusing on something else.

        Harry tapped Draco on the shoulder, "Draco?" He asked, making sure he focused on the class. "What, Potter!" Draco snapped, turning to Harry then to Professor Flit-wick. Professor Flit-wick retaught them about Lumos, the spell that makes light come out of your wand. Harry and Draco were asked to example the spell since they were good students. Draco and Harry stood across from each over and pointed their wands. Harry's bright, green eyes locked onto Draco's cold, grey eyes. 

        Draco casted his spell first, yelling "Lumos!" as a bright light appeared from the tip of his wand. Harry followed soon after, casting his spell as his light overpowered Draco's. The class cheered as the light blinded them, even the professor had to look away. "You may win this time, Potter... But I will win eventually." Draco said as he put his wand away and sat back down. Harry also put his wand away as he sat down next to Draco. They were instructed to discuss today's topic before the next class started.

        After a few minutes of silence, Draco finally spoke. "So, Potter, what do we talk about? You're the smart one who knows what to do." "The lesson, maybe we can talk about how well your light was?" Harry said, smiling sweetly at Draco. "Don't rub it in," "Rub what in?" "Rub in the fact that your light was bigger then mine, Potter! The fact that I will fail because you're a perfect role model to society!" Draco snapped, standing up and leaving class. "Wait!" Harry said, Draco stopped at the door. They stood in silence as Harry looked down. "Don't go..." Harry said before putting his hand out towards Draco. Draco closed his eyes and sighed. "You can't change me, Potter. Nobody can, except me." Draco said and quickly left the class. A few minutes later, the rest of the class left for Potions.
