Slugterra, a world beneath the surface world and no one knows about Slugterra. A world where it has incredible life, but the best part of the world of slugterra is well, you know, slugs. Though they may be small and cute, they each have an incredible power when throw by a blaster. Though when it falls to the wrong hands, it can do a lot of damage to everyone around. That's why there are those who make a stand and stop anyone for going to far. But one of the best ones of them all are-

???: YN LN!

YN: Uh oh. (Whispers.) Quick guys, hide!

Young YN whos around 14 years old, closes his journal while four of his slugs quickly head back to where they sleep before acting like they're sleeping.

YN: (Whispers.) Flash, lights out!

Flash tap his head for lights off before YN quickly pretends to sleep before the door opens revealing his parents.

DN: See? He's sleeping as well as his slugs.

MN: Hmm. I guess you're right, I just don't want him to stay up and end up tired tomorrow.

His mother close the door before they continue speaking as YN can hear them.

DN: You worry too much honey, tomorrow us his big day along with his slugs.

MN: (Sigh.) I know, I'm just worried he might get hurt. But since you grew up in this world, I'll trust you.

DN: And I trust you. Now come on, let's get some rest. Tomorrow's gonna be a big day for all of us.

YN then sees the lights from underneath the door turn off before he grabs his journal as flash and his slugs come and watch him writing.

YN POV

My name is YN LN. Yup, you heard it right, I'm a LN just like my dad. Who will one day become a sharp shooter just like him. And what I'm about to tell you is the story of my adventure with my slugs in Slugterra

Time skip to the morning.

After I brush my teeth with my slugs, we head downstairs for breakfast while we're still a bit sleepy. Soon I see my mom is making pancakes.

YN: (Yawns.) Good morning, mom.

MN: Morning my little cowboy. You'd you and your friends sleep?

YN: Oh uh, great, never been better. Right guys?

Four of his slugs nods, trying to pretend we're all wide awake except for Mason who's leaning against wrecker.

MN: Hmm.... All right then. I made pancakes for all of you.

YN: Aw sweet!

My mom serves my a plate of pancakes while my slugs have their slug food for breakfast.

YN: (Chewing.) Thih eh reat moh.

MN: Always finish the food in your mouth before speaking, YN.

YN: (Swallow.) Sorry.

MN: Its okay, today's a big day for you after all.

My mom smiles before I was embrace by a hug from behind which was my dad.

DN: (Smiles.) How's my little cowboy going?

YN: Great dad.

DN: Ready for a big day?

YN: I don't know, are you guys ready to make some new friends too?

My slugs jump and cheers happily as Echo fly's around excited before I answered to my dad.

YN: Yup, we're ready dad.

DN: Good. Once you're done with breakfast, get changed.

YN: You got it dad.

Suddenly I felt the temperature got a bit slow which revealed a slug on my dad's shoulder which her name is Frost.

She's one of the rarest slugs to find.

YN: Hey Frost, good to see you.

She smiles cheerfully before my dad speak up.

DN: Meet me outside once you change, I'm gonna get my mecha beast ready.

MN: Ahem. Forgetting something?

DN: Save the best for the last darlin.

My parents kiss while my slugs and I look away from embarrassed.

YN: Urgh, Boundaries people. There's a reason why they call this privacy.

MN: Oh hush, boy. Someday you'll understand.

DN: Trust me pal. When it comes to your mom, its hard to say no when she's too beautiful.

YN: Okayyyy, I'm gonna go change right now.

I finishes my breakfast and my slugs hop on my shoulders before heading to my room.

3rd POV

YN parents watch him head upstairs while MN sighs and DN comforts her.

DN: Hey, its gonna be okay. I'll watch over him while we're on our little adventure.

MN: I know, its just that it feels like yesterday that he was little and now he's growing up fast almost like a hatchling birds wanting to fly.

DN: Maybe. But we'll be there to see him grow up to a better man.

This made her smile as they both hug together. But then snowflakes appear above them, revealing Frost supporting them.

MN: Get going, cowboy. You both got a big day ahead.

DN: Much obliged darlin.

He put his cowboy hat before leaving to get his mecha beast ready.

Short time skip.

We now see YN is now in his regular clothes outside while his mom checks on him.

MN: You got your backpack?

YN: Check.

MN: Lunch for you and your slugs?

YN: Check.

MN: Slingshot?

YN: Check.

MN: Slugs?

YN slugs appear from his backpack. (Similar to Eli Shane's backpack for his slugs.)

YN: Check.

She nods before hugging her son.

MN: Take care, both of you. And be sure you treat the new slugs well.

YN: 'Kay mom.

DN: We'll be back before dinner.

MN: Got it.

YN hop on DN mecha beast behind his dad before they left. YN enjoys traveling around slugterra on a mecha beast, he always thought of getting one when he's ready. Soon they arrive at a middle of a open area until they suddenly meet up a man who's a family rival against the LN family. His name, is Will Shane.

DN hop off his mecha beast to greet Will while YN stayed.

DN: Will Shane, ol' pal. Its been a while.

Will: (Smiles.) Wasn't expecting to see you around here. Good to see you though.

DN: Meh, only a few days ever since Dr Blakk disappear. Still haven't seen that guy though.

Frost appear on his shoulder and saw a infernus slug on Shane shoulder. His name is Burpy.

DN: (Chuckles.) There's my little fire friend. Been treating your friend well I see.

Will: So what brings you here anyway?

DN: Well, not much. Just showing my son the ropes to be a slinger.

He gesture his son who's still on the mecha beast. Soon he gets off to meet Will.

YN: Its nice to meet you Mr. Shane.

Will: Its nice to meet you too kid. Say, my son Eli is probably taller as you by now. Maybe someday you'll meet him.

YN: (Smiles excited.) Cool!

DN: (Chuckles.) Maybe by the time you guys meet, you both might challenge in a duel. Just like your ol' pal and Will.

Will: Runs in the family, believe it or not.

They all chuckle.

DN: So care for another challenge after my son made some friends with the slugs?

Will: Another time, something is up around here. Just got this feeling.

DN: All right. Let me know if you need help if you ever need it.

Will: You too. (To YN.) I look forward to meet your new friends.

YN: Until next time Mr. Shane.

They wave their goodbyes before they separate as YN ask his dad from curiosity.

YN: So dad, you two have been rivals ever since?

DN: The Shane and the LN families have been rivals for many generation. Including your grandfather. But the most important part of the families is that when there's a threat in Slugterra, we never hesitate to work together and stop it. Because its our home and we'll always defend it.

YN: Whoa. I can't wait to challenge Eli Shane when we meet.

DN: (Chuckles.) Then you better get started to train to become a slinger as well as befriended new slugs.

YN: Got it dad.

DN: Now let's go, these slugs aren't gonna be easy to find.

YN and DN walk on foot as they began to their adventure. A few hours have passed and YN found a few slugs.

After finding and bonding with the slugs as a new family, YN and DN began training. However, YN only had a slingshot but it was still works well for his slugs.

DN: Remember YN, timing and speed are your best skills in slug slinging.

DN fires his HopRock slug at YN who quickly evades it before it exploded.

YN: Ready Flash?

Flash nods before YN shoot him at his dad to blind him from the flashes. Once the flashes was gone. YN shoots a grenuke slug name Sarge at him before it exploded. Thankfully DN used a Frostcrawler to make a ice wall to protect him.

DN: Not bad kid. (Smirk.) But the most important part of slug slinging.

Suddenly a Diggrix emerge underneath as a flatulorhinkus aka fart slug appear out of the ground hole and set a stink bomb at him.

YN: Ah, that stinks!

He was then interrupted by a sound of a blaster ready and sees DN aiming his blaster at YN.

DN: Always trust your slugs. And always work together, that's the key to win.

YN: Really stinks...

DN: (Laughs.) It'll wear off a few. I use to use that slug for pranks when I was your age. (Chuckles.) Almost got caught by Jimmo Shane and your grandfather for doing that.

They both laugh from his story until suddenly a black and red storm appear not far from here. Causing an uncontrollable wind.

YN: What was that!?

DN: I don't know, but its definitely not good!

DN whistles for his mecha beast arrive. He quickly put his on the mecha.

YN: Dad, what's going on!?

DN: Listen, you have to head back home while I go help our friend! I will not put you in a danger like this. I've program this mecha to head back home. Stay there with your mother until I get back!

YN nods as the mecha beast runs off and DN got his blaster ready with Frost in it.

DN: Will, what would do this?

Time skip

YN got back home with his mom as they were worried about DN.

YN: Mom, I'm really worried about dad.

MN: I am too. But there's nothing we can do from here.

YN: I should go back, together we might have a chance.

MN: I wish I can agree, but we don't know what were dealing with. Once your dad comes back, maybe he'll explain.

Suddenly they hear a knock on a door which open to reveal DN, but he was heavily injured.

YN: Dad!

MN: We were so worried about you- OH MY GOD!

MN cupped her mouth to see her husband lost his right arm, yet it wasn't bleeding thanks to his flaringo slug.

YN: Oh my god! Dad are you okay?

MN: What happened!?

DN: I'm fine, but not my friend.

YN: Mr. Will?

DN looks down and shook his head.

MN: Come quick, I'll patch you up quick!

MN lead her husband to their room while YN stayed behind since he couldn't bear to watch more as his slugs tries to comfort him.

YN POV

I couldn't believe it, a red storm, Will Shane is gone, and now my dad lost his right arm. Somebody must've used a Thresher slugs against him. But why?

YN: Guys, we're gonna have to be ready. Whoever did that to dad, he could still be around.

All my slugs nod as I head to my parents room to ask who did this to him. But as I was closer to their room door, I can hear their voices where my mom was sobbing.

MN: (Sobbing.) Why do you need to do this?

DN: I know you don't like this, even I don't want to do this. But I need to do this, somebody needs to know what's going on and they can help. If I don't do this, this can only tipped the balance.

MN: But what about our son? He needs you.

DN: I won't lose a family I love. You two will be safe here....

MN: I love you...

DN: I love you too.

I didn't know what to say as I sat by the wall after hearing this. Whether I like it or not, I knew my life was about to change.

Time skip to next day.

Mom and I were outside and we see dad is packing his things.

YN: Dad, why can't I go with you?

My dad approach me and kneels down to my level before speaking.

DN: Where I'm going will be dangerous, and I won't put you in harms way. Your mom will watch over you until you're ready for your own journey.

I hug my dad as well as my mom and we both embrace each other.

YN: Please be careful dad.

DN: I will, promise. Here.

My dad hand me Frost.

DN: I wanted to give her to you when you're old enough. But I guess its now, she'll watch over you on your journey.

YN: Are you sure dad? I mean you'll need her.

DN: Remember what I taught you, trust your slugs as you trust me.

YN: (Nods.) Okay.

DN: Here, you'll need this too.

My dad hand me his blaster, a Crimson KNG.

DN: I wanted to get a blaster for you, but you'll have to use this for the time being.

I hug him one last time. Knowing that I won't see him soon. My dad gets back up an place his head against my mom.

DN: I love you, MN.

MN: I'll miss you.

My dad then leaves and hop on his mecha, he look at us for one last time before nods and leave.

YN: I can't believe this.

MN: Me neither but no matter what happens, always remember.

My mom hugs me as she shed a tear.

MN: He'll always be with you.

Frost then comforts me as I see my dad disappear. That is where my life began.

3rd POV

We now see DN riding to the place where there's darkness. He approach with caution as he slowly moves onward until he hears a hissing sound. Revealing the shadow clan.

DN then shows that he's unarmed before he speaks.

DN: My name is DN LN, I'm not here to fight. But I have urgent news for you that is important.

Soon the leader of the shadow clan approach.

It speak but DN couldn't understand it.

DN: There's something going on in Slugterra, and I'm afraid it could tipped the balance.
