We always thought that slugterra would stay the same forever, beautiful, peaceful, a world fill of magic and hope. But that all changed. Dr Blakk changed it for us.

He made his plan in secret. Drilling into a forbidden world to bring evil into ours.

And when a well ran dry, he found another.

It was all he needed to make himself an army.

Yes, an army of ghouls.

And he didn't stop there. Dr Blakk invented technology most of us only seeing nightmares.

And he's using it against anyone who gets in his way.

There isn't a jail in slugterra that can hold him. Because now he has darkbane working for him. Right here, right now.

The darkbane are not a legend, these things will do anything to find a way up to slugterra even if it means an allegiance with Dr Blakk.

Eli: That is what we're up against.

Eli is talking to a group of civilians to join them and help fighting back.

Eli: That is why we need your help. Not just here, but in all the other caverns Blakk has taken over.

They were then interrupted by Blakks guards and darkbane destroying the city with Nacho leading the assault.

Civilian: We're just singers and dancers. Those Darkbane, we're no match for them. I'm sorry but you're on your own.

Eli: Well, so much for the rousing speech. Let's do this.

They head up to the rooftop and plan their assault.

YN: We got dozen of Blakks men. We can take them out by surprise.

Kord: That's a lot of guards.

Trixie: (Smirk.) Perfect.

Trixie and Kord uses Frostcrawler and Bubbaleone to trap them and finally dirt urchin for the final blow. Eli and YN use their Blastipede Slug to set the mines on the titans and blows all of the titan in the cavern. Finally Pronto uses his tazerling but Nacho counters it with his ghoul, knocking the tazerling back to Pronto before shocking him.

YN: Uh Eli, something doesn't look right with that ghoul.

Eli looks with his binocular and sees something different from the slug and including Nacho blaster.

Eli: I have a feeling we're in for a bad surprise.

YN: (Stern.) Doesn't it always be a bad surprise around the darkbane?

Eli: Point taken.

Nacho blaster charges fast and fires a ghoul so fast that it only megamorphs slugs can do.

The rammstone ghoul the hits the building where the duos are standing that it cause to tear down and they fall.

YN: That ghoul was fast!

Eli: And it looks like that's not the only one!

The other darkbanes fire their blasters and ends up like the same as Nacho. The gang tries to counter it but the ghouls are too powerful.

Eli: Fall back, stay on the rooftop!

Eli makes his way up while YN fires Spidey to swing back up to the rooftop to join the rest. But that didn't stop the darkbanes firing ghouls at them as they run. 

Kord: What's up with these ghouls, they have way more power!

Trixie: And speed!

Pronto: And sharp little teeth!

Eli: The darkbanes have blaster mods, some kind of accelerator that's making them megamorph.

YN: Like the same as Burpy and Frost.

Trixie: If they're using megamorph, there's no way we can compete.

Kord: Well at least not until we get some upgrades of our own!

YN: What about the fusion? Could that work?

Eli: Only one way to find out.

Eli sets up his blaster into double barrel but then they were caught up by Nacho and his pals. Eli then fires rammstone and hoprock into fusion but it was rarely enough.

Eli: I'm gonna have to wait and recharge to try that again!

YN: I got this!

Trixie: There's no time and we're running out of option!

Pronto: Let us not forget the age-old tactic of retreat!

Eli: We may not have a choice!

They run off and head to their mechas but see that the civilians are running away from Blakks men and the darkbanes.

Eli: I though everyone have evacuated!

YN: The Darkbane must've been in their way!

Eli: We need to get these people to safety!

Kord: How? As long as they have these amped up megamorph ghouls, we can't touch em.

Eli: Well, its a good thing we got a megamorph too.

Kord: Dude, if you're thinking what I think you're thinking, its a no go. These streets are too short to get up to that kind of speed!

Eli: Then I'll just have to go up.

Eli head to the elevator to go up while Nacho and his pals fires ghouls at him.

YN: Cover him!

The Shane gang fire their slugs at the darkbane but were then push back. However, this distraction gave Eli enough time to free fall with his mecha to speed up along with his frostcrawler slug to create a ramp. With it, he fires burpy to create a wall of flames.

Just enough for the civilian and the Shane gang escape. Soon they were far away enough to discuss their situation.

Kord: They've capture a lot of slugs, but at least the people got out safely.

Eli: But we got out tails handed to us.

YN: Those darkbanes were pushing us against the wall with their new mods. And here I thought the gatler was the biggest problem.

Eli: Well until we're evenly matched, we don't stand a chance. (To burpy.) Somehow we've gotta get the rest of the slugs to do what you can do buddy.

Trixie: (Sarcasm.) Without jumping off buildings?

Eli: Well it work didn't it?

YN: Let's just head back and figure out our next move.

Time skip

Back at the Shane home, Kord is explaining the situation about the megamorph slugs. Speed is the key to make megamorph, but making a blaster with such speed is beyond his skills. Which can only lead one option.

Eli: We're paying another visit with red hook and MN.

YN: Only question is how will we get there. Ain't like how it is now that Blakks forces are stretching by the minute.

Trixie: He's right.

Trixie: Almost all the path to reach them take us through caverns now controlled by Dr Blakk.

Pronto: What!?

Pronto snatches her tablet.

Pronto: Forget your maps.

Pronto throws it away.

Trixie: Hey!

Pronto: You have Pronto! I shall lead us there to safety and style.

YN: (Sigh.) All in favor to go with this dumb idea which we rarely know its our only option?

The Shane gang raise their hand including Frost.

YN: Lead the way mole.

Time skip

Thanks to Prontos mapping skills, they manage to get to Quiet Lawn without getting caught by Blakks men nor the Darkbane. However, when they got to the cavern, everything seems to be too quiet.

Kord: (Curious.) Does Quiet Lawn cavern seem quieter than usual.

YN: I don't like this. Not even a sign of slug around.

Trixie: Where is everyone?

Eli: Come on, hopefully red hook knows.

Trixie: If the old grouch or YN mom is even here.

YN: I hope so.

The Shane gang head to red hook house drinking lemonade.

Kord: Oh great, there he is.

Red: Well if it isn't the Shane gang. So great to see you, to what do I owe the pleasure?

Before the Shane gang would say anything YN beat them to it.

YN: Nah, the pleasure is mine. Though I do wonder if my mom is around. I'd like to talk to her first.

Red: Oh, well she's taking a break at her home-

Suddenly YN aims his blasters at him which caught the Shane gang surprise.

Kord: YN what are you doing!?

YN: Towns may out for a vacay, but you can't fool me every time. Twist.

Red smirks and turns Twist with Loki's illusion. The other Shane gang aim their blasters at him.

Kord: Twist!?

Twist: (Smirk.) So what gave me away?

YN: He ain't so hospitality when he gets visitor. Also he hates lemonade.

Twist: (Smirk.) You got me. So maybe you avoided our little trap but good luck avoiding them.

They look and see Blakks men are coming as well as firing their ghouls at the Shane gang.

YN: We gotta bail!

The Shane gang hop on their mechas and escape the town, leaving Twist smirking as he finish his lemonade.

Trixie: No wonder we got here so easily, this was all the set up! Sorry Pronto.

Pronto: Well I refuse to accept highly probable scenario. I prefer self delusion thank you very much.

Eli: Well, that explain where the darkbane got those accelerators for their blasters. Dr Blakk must have red hook at a citadel.

YN: And mom....(Grip his fist.) Twist is gonna pay.

Pronto: Does that mean you are going to want Pronto to take you there next?

Trixie: Our only chances of defeating these guys is to get red hook and MN back. That has to be a mission Eli, no matter what.

Eli: We gotta get out of here first!

YN: Incoming vinedrills!

The darkbanes appear by the cliffs and fire vinedrills ghouls to try to trap them until YN fires razor to cut them down.

YN: They're gonna catch up unless we do something fast!

Eli: Rev up and head for the exit!

The Shane gang turn their mechas into wheel mode to escape fast but it was still not enough when Nacho fires a arachnet ghoul to block their path.

Trixie: What's our next move?

Kord: Don't get blown up!

Pronto: Pronto is running out if that move!

Eli: There!

Eli points at the tunnel.

YN: Its our only way out! Hit it and don't look back!

Blakk forces are still firing their ghouls as Nacho notice they're about to escape.

Nacho: Take them out!

They all fire their hoprock ghouls but YN fires Frost to freeze the ghouls but misses one as it hits the tunnel and rocks started to fall. At the last second, the Shane gang made it through before the tunnel is sealed. Trixie turn on the lights for them to see.

Trixie: (Smiles.) We did it!

The Shane gang celebrate for their escape until she realize They're missing someone.

Trixie: (Worried.) Wait, where's Eli and YN?

Outside of the tunnel, Eli and YN risked themselves for their friends to escape.

YN: I hope you know what you're doing Eli.

Eli: Trust me. Nows your chance guys, you gotta run!

YN: You too.

Their slugs get out of their backpacks and lands on the ground and hesitated to run away without their slingers.

Eli: Go, get out of here!

The slugs didn't wanted to leave those two behind.

YN: Don't worry about us, we'll be fine and we'll be back together soon.

The slugs runs off right but hopes to be reunited soon.

Eli: You shouldn't have stayed YN.

YN: I don't leave my friends behind.

Eli: Thanks.

Soon the duos got surrounded by Blakk forces. Forcing them to drop their blasters.

Eli: Looks like you got us.

Nacho: You two are either heroes or fools.

Eli: There's probably truth to both.

YN: That is if you already figure it out.

Twist: I can vouch for that.

Twist: What's your game guys?

Eli: Just helping our friends but you wouldn't know anything about that would you?

YN: Especially for families.

Twist: (Scoffs.) Nice knowing you two.

YN: You're gonna wish it was.

Nacho: (Pushes them.) Let's go!

They were then taken away before Nacho grabs their blasters. Not knowing that Eli and YN were smirking.

Time skip

They were then taken to Blakks citadel where they're being held in cages thanks to Nacho.

Nacho: Dr Blakk will be here shortly to decide what to do with you two.

Eli: Tell him not to take too long. If we get bored, we might leave.

Nacho aims Eli's blaster at him.

Nacho: I know you think you're a tough  slinger Shane. But all you guys are now is a prisoner without your slugs and blaster.

YN: Drop your ghouls and slug, then what are you?

Nacho: I know how you LNs play. You can't cool me.

Nacho pulls the blaster away before examines it.

Nacho: A nice one. It will be useful to one of my darkbane brothers. After some modification with a little help of the blaster smiths.

YN: If you ever do anything at them them I promise you I'll-

Nacho: You'll what? Slug me?

YN: You wish.

Nacho just laughs it off before leaving. Once he leaves the room, the duos make their move.

Eli: (Whispers.) We're in.

Burpy and Frost jumps out and smile as they both open the cells due to their size to escape easily. Once open, Eli and YN got out and YN grabs his hat.

Eli: And we're out.

YN: Man, to think these guys can hold us easily. I've escaped a lot of times of prison, this'll be like flopper squeezing through the cage like its nothin.

Eli: We're not out if this yet. We just gotta find Your mom and red hook.

YN: Got it.

They sneak their way through the building without getting caught by any guards. Luckily for them, they found Guards walking by. Burpy and Frost gets their attention and draw them to where the slingers are.

Eli: Hey.

YN: You might feel this in the morning.

They both knock the guards with a punch simultaneously and use their outfit to blend in with the guards. They walk around the building until YN accidentally bump into the wall.

Eli: (Whispers.) YN!

YN: (Whispers.) Sorry, can't see through this mask. How do they even see through these? No wonder they can't aim.

Eli shook his head before they move on.

Eli: Okay, so which way do you think we should-

He was then interrupted by burpy chirping.

Eli: What is it buddy?

Burpy and Frost jumps out before they head somewhere.

YN: I think they want us to follow.

Eli: Okay, we'll go check it out.

They follow their slugs and enter a room where they see the ghouling machine room through the window.

YN: That's a lot of slugs.

Eli: No wonder you sense a bad energy here.

Soon they see the slug are being ghouled by the dark water.

Eli: I know Blakk was making tons of ghouls but this is insane.

YN: At this rate of ghouls, it could tear slugterra apart.

Frost chirps to get their attention, leading them to the next door. Once they enter the next room, they see some kind of machine with dark water.

They see Blakk enters the room to inspect the machine as they duck cover from being spotted.

Eli: What is he doing with those ghouls?

YN: Nothing good.

YN grab Trixie's camera to film everything that's going on in the building.

Eli: What are you doing?

YN: Slugterra has to know what's Blakks doing. I had to take Trixie's camera cuz I had a feeling I need it. Now I know why.

Eli: Good, let's get moving before they spotted us.

YN nods and they leave the room, continuing to find red hook and MN.

Eli: I want to know what that machine does, but we need to find them and get them to safety first.

Suddenly they see Twist walking by and YN saw him which got him angry.

YN: (Growl.) Twist!

Twist turn only to meet YN shoulder charge at him to the wall. Causing him to drop his blaster before sees its YN.

Twist: You!-

Right when he finish speaking, YN pins him at the wall and starts beating up his face so hard as YN was mad.

YN: Did you think you can walk away, kidnappings my mom and my friend!? Huh!?

YN couldn't help but continue beating Twist even after everything he's done. Only thing that stopped him is his friend Eli.

Eli: YN, YN that's enough!

YN finally stops and see how beat up and frightened Twist is before he pushes Twist against the wall before stepping on Loki to prevent it from using illusion.

YN: This is your last chance! You leave Blakk for good or you're going to regret it! Come after any of my family again and I'll bury you straight down! You got that!?

Twist shakenly nods after getting beat up.

YN: Now tell me where are you holding them right now or I'll crush your ghoul before I crush you completely!

Short time skip

As soon as Twist told them where the blaster smiths are, they wasted no time to get there and taking out the guards.

Eli: Keep a look out while I check inside.

YN: Got it.

Once its clear, they enter the room and see them working on the blasters.

Red: (Grunts.) Look you filthy ghoul monger we'll finish a lot quicker if ya quite bothering us!

MN: So stop bothering and mind your own business! You'll get your blasters once its ready-

Eli: Ahem.

They look and surprise to see it was Eli this whole time.

Red: (Gasp.) You're alive.

MN: Wait what? Shane, what about YN?

Eli: He's here too.

YN looks back and sees his mom is safe.

YN: Mom!

MN: YN!

YN hugs his mom.

YN: When I learn Blakk goons kidnapped you guys, I was so worried.

Eli: Wait a minute, you thought we were dead?

Red: (Scoff.) Figured when that big oaf brought us these blasters, you were toast.

YN: Not even darkbane can get rid of us that easy.

MN: I'm happy to see it. Here, you'll need these too.

The blaster smiths hands them their blasters back with new modifications.

Eli: You guys already put the upgrades on it? Oh this is gonna be easier than I thought.

YN: All that's left is blast our slugs out and- ow!

MN: (Smack him.) Are you crazy!?

Red: I still have to fine-tune their core capacity. No telling what'll happen if you fire those things now.

Suddenly a guard enter the room and notice the Shane and LN has escape.

YN: Oh, I forgot to be on a look out.

The guard fires a dirt urchin ghoul and they quickly got behind the desk to avoid the spikes. After that, the guard press the alarm as the guards are on their way.

YN: Looks like we got no choice but to-

Suddenly Red hook charge at the guard with his hook aiming but it does nothing but clicks. He fixes it by hitting it and fired his hook connected with a cable, knocking the guard against the wall.

Red: (Smirk.) Been a while since I've done that.

YN: (To mom.) Did you know he can do that?

MN: He's the one who made it.

YN takes a peek at the door only to see the guards are firing ghouls. YN quickly gets back inside.

YN: Its not looking good.

MN: Buy me some time, I'll grab these blasters.

One by one the guards enter but Red hook wipe them out easily with his hook, even catching a vinedrill ghoul before it could hit Eli and throws it back to the guard like a pro.

Eli: Serious, who knew?

Soon Red grabs the guards blasters with his hook and swings it at the others.

Red: Eli, YN, catch!

They both catches it and Eli fires Rammstone ghoul to knock the guards out while YN fires a Frostcrawler to barricade the entrance. While that was happening, MN grabs two duffle bags filled with blasters that are upgraded.

MN: We need to take these blasters. We'll have a fighting chance against Dr Blakk.

Just then the barricade was destroyed. Revealing Dr Blakk with his gatler.

Blakk: I see we have something common you and I. Breaking out of prison cells.

Eli: When you said our blasters isn't ready, how unready are we talking?

Red: Meh, we can't live forever kid. Fire at em!

Eli and YN look at each other and nods before YN fires Frost with his upgraded blaster. Throwing a massive snowball against Blakk and knocking him out of the room while Eli fires burpy up at the ceiling to make a exit.

Eli: (Smiles.) I guess it works.

YN: Now that's what I'm talking about!

They notice Blakk then gets back up and grabs his gatler.

Eli: We really should go.

YN: Frost!

Frost fly towards them and YN grabs on his slug as MN did the same while Red hook fires his hook up at the ceiling.

Red: You might want to hold on little tighter this time.

Eli grabs on before Red hook makes an epic escape while Blakk fires his gatler.

Even though they made it to the roof, it didn't stop Blakk from firing his gatler. The impacts of the fired ghouls knocks them off the roof and they fell until someone fired a bubbaleone slug to break their fall. Unfortunately Red hook didn't land perfectly after the bubbaleone bounce them off.

Red: (Groan.) I'm too old for this...

MN: Finally! Someone admits he's too old.

This frustrated Red hook but was interrupted by the bubbaleone still a bubble.

Red: Grr shoo! Get on with ya bubbaleone!

The slug transform back before returning back to the Shane gang who just arrived.

Trixie: Hey, what took you guys so long?

Eli: Did a little sightseeing.

YN: Along with some score to settled.

Eli: Let's get out of here while we still can.

The Shane gang along with Red hook and MN got away from Blakks stronghold.

Time skip

Once they're out of the cavern, they make their way to the next safe cavern from Blakks forces.

Eli: Thanks for coming for us. But how'd you know we'd be here?

Pronto: Eli Shane always follow his hero instinct.

Kord: Usually to do something heroically foolish.

Eli: Is that what everyone thinks about me?

Trixie: Uh huh.

MN: Yup.

Kord: That's you.

Red: Right away.

YN: Every time.

Pronto: Pretty much yeah.

Eli: Well, all that matters is that Red hook and MN are safe. And we've got the accelerators.

YN: All we have to do is figure which slugs can do it like Frost and burpy.

Kord: We'll head back to HQ and regroup. We'll be back in action in no time.

Eli: Good, because as soon as we can match slugs against the darkbane, we're coming right back here. Dr Blakk has something planned, something big. And I have the feeling we're the only ones who can stop it.

YN: I don't know, at this point we'll need all the help we can get. Which is why I have this.

YN holds out Trixie's camera and hands it back to her.

YN: Trixie, I need you to spread the word. Slugterra needs to know what's going on. This time, Dr Blakk is about to have a fight he'll regret.

Time skip

Night came and Twist arrives where YN home cavern where the lights are off. Along with 3 of Blakk henchmen with their blasters ready.

Henchman: Why are we here? Shouldn't we be back to prepare for the Shane gang attack?

Twist: If we want to stop the Shane gang, then well take them out while they're sleeping. Besides, YN made this personal.

They walk to the town with flashlights until they spotted a stranger sitting at the rock. As if he's waiting for someone.

Twist: Little late for you to stay up this night.

???: You're gonna starting a mayhem here, right?

Twist: With you along with anyone in this town.

???: (Sigh.) Why would you do that?

Twist: To teach YN LN a lesson for crossing a line against me.

???: By destroying this town along with the people?

Twist: What's it to you?

???: This is my home, my family. If I did this to you, what would you do?

Twist: Probably teach you a lesson before I finish you.

???: Least we can agree to that, unlike your father.

This caught Twist confused until YN appear with a few of the towns people aiming their blasters right at Twist and Blakk's henchmen. Soon after the stranger adjust his hat to reveal his face as they were shock to see its DN LN.

DN: When I try to be reasonable to your dad, he threw his chances away and it cost his life. You're no different than him. My son said if you ever go after any of our family, we'd bury you here.

One of the towns people grab the blasters and the ghouls away from Twist and Blakk's henchmen before he tosses the shovels at them as they back away frightening of what he said.

DN: Down here, we keep our word.

Twist: Okay, we'll leave.

DN: You think you can walk away after everything you did and worst of all, kidnapped and threatened my family? No, you've had your chance before you enter this cavern.

2nd Henchmen: Wait what!?

DN: Start digging before I loose my patience.
