3rd POV

Its been a few days since the Shane gang found and destroy the male mundi. Without it, Blakk has no way to bring the deep cavern nor the surface. However, they were still fighting against Blakk and his forces.

Like right now, YN and Eli are on the run in a ice cavern where one of Blakks slingers known as Cece.

Eli: Okay Cece, if you're trying to tail me quietly.

YN: Totally an epic fail pal.

This made Cece a bit angry as he continues to chase after them.

Eli: Wanna have a little fun Burpy?

Burpy nods before coughs. They then made a run for as they're in the ice floor. They then quickly make a U turn but Eli's mecha is custom to make a hard turn where YN doesn't. Fortunately he fires Spidey who created a web string attached to his mecha to help him make a hard turn while Cece slip and crash because of the ice.

YN: You know you can just walk away Cece. This can be easy or we can make this hard.

Cece: In your dreams!

Cece fire ghouls at them but YN evades them with his mecha.

YN: (Chuckles.) Now that's cold, how bout we make it more colder huh Frost?

Frost nods before she coughs as well which got YN curious.

YN: You all right Frost?

Frost nods and shakes it off while away fires ghouls at them.

Eli: Can't shake them.

YN: Guess we're doing this the old fashion then.

Eli: (Smirk.) We're going to persuade them to go away and we can be real persuasive right guys?

Eli slugs nods in agreement while Burpy started to feel bad. Just then Cece arrives as Eli load burpy in his blaster.

Eli: A little advice Cece. Next time Blakk wants me followed, he should send someone other than you.

YN: Better yet, he should do it himself if he has the guts to hands the cold cavern.

Cece: Blakk is always busy these days. Besides, he already did.

Just then they were surrounded by dozen of Blakk henchmen's.

Eli: We've been in tougher scrapes before. Right Burpy?

Burpy weakly nods before Eli fired Burpy. However, Burpy didn't transformed as he fell down which got him worried.

Eli: Burpy?

YN: What just happened?

Blakks men and Cece then laughs to see his slug failed to transformed as they fire their ghouls. 

Eli: YN, give me cover!

YN: On it, Frost, wipe them out!

He fired Frost but like Burpy, she ended up the same thing.

YN: Frost?

He was then cut off by Blakk henchmen firing ghouls at them. Luckily YN quickly fired Allen at them while Eli grabs both of the slugs before both slinger got to cover.

YN: What's going on? This never happened before.

Eli: I don't know, but they definitely don't look good.

Cece then orders his men to stop firing before he contacts Blakk.

Cece: Dr Blakk, we have the Shane and LN surrounded. Just give us the orders and we'll take them down....Well, you don't have to worry about that. Their slugs are sick....Yeah, couldn't even take on a flopper. So what do you want me to do?...What!?...but we got them, nows your chance to end this!...(Scoffs.) Well I can't promise you they'll get off without a scratch.

Eli: We gotta get Burpy and Frost home and fast!

YN: Get to the mecha, I'll cover you!

Eli: (Nods.) On three.

YN nods as he pulls out his second blaster.

Eli: One. Two. three!

YN fires Sarge and Mike simultaneously as they both create a fusion which create multiple ball around the area and exploded. They took this opportunity to get to their mecha and run for it until Cece fired one more ghoul directly towards at Eli. Luckily for him it didn't harmed him.

YN: You all right?

Eli: I'm fine, that ghoul must've been a dud. We should've been goners!

YN: Either way, we gotta get help. Burpy and Frost are definitely not good right now!

Time skip brought to you by sick Frost and Burpy laying on their beds with hot chocolate each.

YN POV

We finally arrive at the Shane house and immediately barge in to meet the rest of the gang.

Kord: There you guys are.

Eli: Something's wrong with Burpy!

YN: And Frost!

This got my friends worried as we gently place our sick slug on a pillow.

(YN next to Trixie while Frost is on the same pillow with Burpy.)

Eli: I don't know what happened, never seen him like this.

Kord: I've never seen any slug look like that. They get low on energy sometimes, but I've never seen one sick.

Trixie: Poor little guys, they can't even move.

Eli: We'll make sure you guys get better.

Trixie: Maybe Mercy can help?

Mercy tries but to no luck for some reason as Mercy looks down in shame.

YN: You did your best Mercy. This is something else.

Eli: There's gotta be something we can do.

Pronto: Well, if there is. No troll, human, or even molenoids knows.

I look up only to see Pronto is stuck up in the ceiling.

YN: What happened to you?

Pronto: Oh uh...its nothing really.

Eli: Couldn't agree on a movie again?

Pronto: (Sigh.) Yes...

Eli: I'm not giving up.

YN: Neither am I, slugs are our family and Burpy and Frost needs our help.

Kord: You guys know we're with you bro, but none of us have any idea what to do.

Just then something pops in my head which gave me an idea.

YN: Maybe there is something.

My friends then look at me with a confused look.

YN: Look, I don't know what's it called but my dad once told me a story about it. Only problem is that I don't know where.

Eli: Whatever it, its our best hope. Wherever it is.

Pronto: Nobody knows where it is.

YN: Hm...we don't. But maybe they do.

We look at the slugs who nods which means they know where.

Time skip

We followed our slugs to a dark cavern while Frost and Burpy are still feeling sick as their color is starting to face.

YN: They're not looking good. Their color are starting to fade.

Eli: Stay with me pal, we'll be there soon. Wherever there is.

Trixie: Getting darker.

Kord: And scarier. This whole place gives me the heavy creepies.

Pronto: Ah that is because we have entered the territory of the shadow clan...

YN: Whatever they slugs are taking us, I'll bet they know what it is.

Kord: If they're around.

Soon we arrive to a wall where there's a small hole that only slugs can fit.

Eli: That's where burpy needs to go? We'll never fit through that. There's gotta be a bigger opening.

Trixie: Yeah but how do we find it?

YN: I guess we can always make a tunnel, right Del?

Del nods as I place him in my blaster, ready to fire until Eli stops me.

Eli: I think its better we ask, this is their territory.

YN: Fine, I just hope it'll be quick for Burpy and Frost.

Eli: I'm sure they'll know what to do.

Eli puts on the shadow talker to draw their attention and soon they arrive with their leader. Once again, I needed to focus on what they'll say.

Leader: This ground is sacred, leave now.

YN: We wouldn't be here if this wasn't serious.

Eli: We called you because we need your help.

We show them Burpy and Frost and they see our slugs are getting sick.

Leader: This ones fire will go out soon while the others ice is weakening. Once it does they will be no more. I see now why your slugs led you here, to the light well.

Eli: The Light Well?

YN: Of course! The Light Well.

Eli: What's that?

We explain eli that its a myth and a mystery yet rumors were told that its a place where the slugs can get a recharge. In this situation, it could cure the sickness of our slugs.

Eli: We'll take Burpy and Frost there, if you can show us the way.

Leader: The paths to the light well are not met for humans. It may not be possible for either of you to survive the journey.

YN: All due respect, We've survive a lot from Blakk forces and other challenges. We ain't backing away when it comes to saving slugs from dangers.

Eli: And that's the risk we're willing to take. One way or another, we're going. 

The leader was silent until he holds up the shadow walker to reveal a open path for them.

Leader: Remember later sons of Shane and LN, it was you who asked for this.

Kord: Right behind you guys.

Suddenly the shadow clan stops Kord from following us, telling us that only Eli and I can go. Though I can't say I disagree, they did said that the path may not be possible to survive. More reason why, I just got this feeling the rest needs to stay behind.

Time skip, 3rd POV

As they both made their way to The Light Well, their long journey were filled with dangers. Yet more comes ahead to where they must go. Soon they arrive to a small cavern where there's a path of gravity rocks and green water underneath them as something is swimming in it.

Eli: Guess we go this way.

YN: Yeah I ain't walkin there.

Eli: You just gotta keep your balance.

YN: Chill, give us a path.

YN fired Chill to create an ice path. With it, they'll safely cross and fast to the next cavern until a silver flying create appear out of nowhere and destroyed the ice.

Causing both of the slingers to fall where YN landed on a gravity rock as Eli slipped and fall.

YN: Eli!

YN fired Spidey to shoot a string of web at Eli from falling. Right on time avoiding from the sea creature who was a feet away.

YN: Hold on, we got you!

Eli: I'm all right, what is that thing?

YN: Never seen it, but it definitely ain't gonna let us pass.

Eli: Okay buddy, take it down!

Eli fired his rammstone at the creature. But it was then knock back.

Eli: Its armored, all over! We need another idea.

YN: Try the fusion, I can't do it while holding on to you!

Eli: Not much of a choice, it looks like the only shot we got!

Eli let's go while Spidey holds on to him as he switch his blaster into double barrel mode and fire Jewels and his Dirt urchin. Both created a fusion into electrical spikes, successfully hitting and electrifying the creature as it falls.

Eli: Bulls eye!

Suddenly the sea creature jumps again but only to meet a rammstone knocking it back. Eli looks up to see it was YN.

YN: Eli, grab on to Echo.

YN fires Echo as it transforms into flying creature and fly towards him. Eli took the opportunity to grab on to Echo leg before Echo fly up and head to the next cavern. YN was still holding on to the blaster that's attached with Spidey web and gets pulled thanks to Echo. Soon they exited the gravity rock cavern and on to the next.

YN: Well, that wasn't so bad.

Eli: But whatever is ahead. (Sniff.) Whao! It definitely smells worst...

Luckily YN has a mask to avoid the smell.

Eli: Whatever it is, this smell worst than a bunch of Flatularincus slugs.

YN: Hey, I Rock paper scissor you on who goes first?

Eli: Seriously? You're terrible at rock paper scissor.

YN: How am I terrible at rock paper scissor?

Eli: Easy, you always pick rock.

YN: Prove it then.

Eli: You've said it.

YN & Eli: Rock paper scissor shoot!

Just as Eli predicted, YN picks rock as Eli picked paper.

YN: ...best 2 out of 3?

Eli just pushes him and YN goes ahead. Soon he fell inside of some kind of slimy tunnel to crawl.

YN: Okay, this is gross.

Eli then joins in where YN is.

Eli: And slimy.

Eli then slips and bumps into YN where they both fell in a mysterious pink slime.

YN: Seriously? Urgh, when was the last time they clean this place?

Eli: You can definitely tell it a long time ago by the smell. This tunnel smells like the insides of a-

Burp!

YN: .....

Eli: ....This isn't a tunnel...

Suddenly the ground started to move and it reveal to be a huge tongue as it pushes them out to the exit. Revealing it was a giant worm like creature as it roars.

YN: Wait a minute, did we got spit out of its mouth?

Eli: That means we crawled in through its...

They then realize where they really entered as they share the same look.

Eli: Gross!

YN: Oh my god!

The worm then attacked them but they both dodged it.

Eli: There's no way we're going back in there!

They both fired a rammstone and a armashelt but both of the slugs just bounced as it made the creature more angry.

YN: Nuh uh, I ain't gonna go through this! Get em shocker!

YN fires shocker to shock the worm. Which gives Eli the open to fire his frostcrawler directly to the worms open mouth and freezes it from the inside.

YN: Okay, let's all agree that we'll never talk about this. Whatever happened, it'll stay buried for good. If anybody ask, just slug them.

Eli: Agree, until then the first thing after we fix up Burpy and Frost, we are all taking some very long showers.

YN: I just hope the next one doesn't get worst.

They continue following the slugs as they're entering the next small cavern.

YN: Huh, do you feel that?

Eli: Yeah, its getting warm in here and (Sniff.) Sweet?

Soon they arrive to a tunnel with a unknown orange sticky goo as a small flying scorpion-like insect fly by. Eli was about to hit it but YN stops him.

Eli: What?

YN: That's not just a bug, I think we're about to enter their hive.

Eli: Hive? How'd you know?

YN: the warm and a the smell, its connected with the bug. Its obvious that we're gonna cross through a hive to get to the well. I know these types of bug, just keep calm and don't show any signs of threat.

Eli nods before they enter to the hive cavern. They stay calm as they're walking through it. Some of the bugs look at them suspicious yet show no signs of threat as it fly away.

Eli: (Whispers.) How'd you know they won't attack us?

YN: (Whispers.) Dana and I went to one once to collect honey for mom's honey pie ingredients. Turns out they're delicate when you try some so long as you don't show any signs of threat to the swarm.

Once they pass through the hive safely, they finally arrived to The Light Well.

YN: Looks like we're finally here.

Eli: The Light Well. Its...wow.

YN: Its energy must be very strong. This will definitely save Burpy and Frost.

Eli: We made it guys.

???: (Chuckles.) We certainly did.

They turn around only to see Blakk who was following them.

Blakk: Thanks to you two.

(Okay, give this slug some credit, he's got guts to take Blakk on his own without fear.)

Eli: Blakk!?

YN quickly aims his duel blasters at him.

YN: You've been following us!?

Eli: What do you want with The Light Well!?

Blakk: What I want is to destroy it.

Blakk fires a ghoul but YN fires wrecker to knock it away. He fires Allen but Blakk second ghoul knocks it out as they get to cover.

YN: There's no way he knew about this.

Eli: How did he even get here?

Blakk: I can answer that.

Blakk fires a ghoul tazerling but Eli dodged it.

Blakk: First of all, when I learned that your slugs were sick, I knew you two would go seeking for the light well. All I needed was to find the exact place. Second of all, that tracking ghoul Cece hit you helped quite a bit.

Eli: (Realize.) The dud!

Blakk: But you deserve the line share of the credit. Aside from the hive, I don't think i could have gotten here if you hadn't taken care of every obstacle in the way. You certainly seemed quite motivated.

Blakk continues to fire ghouls as Eli and YN got to cover and realize Burpy and Frost are getting weaker by the second.

Eli: Burpy no!

YN: We don't have time for this. Eli, take Frost and Burpy to the well. I'll buy you time!

Eli nods and YN hands Frost to him before he runs towards the well. But Blakk notice Eli is running towards the well.

Blakk: You'll never make it.

Blakk fires a few ghouls against YN as he fires back, but this distraction gave Blakk to fire a thresher ghoul at one of the shadow clan statue arm and falls on Eli. However, Eli threw Frost and Burpy to the well, just in time before he was pin down by the broken statue.

Eli: Looks like you were wrong. We made it!

Blakk: Congratulations.

Blakk was about to fire a ghoul at Eli but he notice a polero slug and dodged it.

YN: Hey, don't forget about me!

Blakk growls and fire ghouls at him as YN does the same. YN runs to cover until Blakk fires a frostcrawler ghoul to freeze yn lower body, causing him to fall and drop his blasters out of his reach.

Blakk: Without The Light Well, slug energy can't rejuvenate and without your slugs, my ghouls will rule! Good bye Light Well!

YN: No!

YN pulls out his long shot blaster and fires Theo to create a wall of crystal to protect from Blakks ghoul which made Blakk angry.

Blakk: You know, you're as bold as your father, but neither of you don't know when to give up. I wanted you two to see the Light Wells destruction but you changed my mind. I want you to see your friends destruction!

YN tries to reach for another slug to fire but they were beyond his reach while Blakk aims and fires his blaster at Eli.

But when the armashelt ghoul flew and touched the light well where its lighting, the ghoul transformed back into slug and transformed.

Blakk: (Shock.) What!?

The armashelt deflected back by the wall and knocks the piece of statue away for Eli to break free as he fires his own armashelt to break free YN. YN then fires wrecker at Blakk but he dodges it. However, when the light of the light well hits Blakk remaining ghouls, they also turned back to normal.

Blakk: My ghouls!

Best comes to best, Burpy and Frost comes back and now they're finally cured from their sickness.

Eli/YN: Burpy!/Frost!

Both of the slugs jump on their blaster. YN takes a first shot with Frost to stop Blakk from escaping by throwing a snowball before Eli takes a second shot with Burpy to knock him back with a fireball. Before they could do anything else, the shadow clan appear out of nowhere and grabs Blakk.

Blakk: Nooo!-

The shadow clan teleported away with him before the slingers ask the leader. 

Eli: What just happened? Where did you take him?

Leader: So close to the light well, our powers are...limited. We could only send him through the shadows elsewhere. I fear those abominations you call ghouls are also what sickened these slugs.

Eli: Blakks ghouls made them sick?

YN: Of course! Because the ghouls are stained with dark water.

Leader: The energy that binds the slugs to slugterra is growing weak. If the ghouling does not cease, the darkbane will come.

Eli: Well you can count on us to stop Dr Blakk.

YN: And if the darkbane does come, we'll push them back to where they were.

Eli: Thank you for everything.

Leader: Now's not the time for thanks. The struggle of all og slugterra has only just begun.

Time skip

The slinger now finally reunited with the rest of the Shane gang as the rest of the shadow clan bows before leaving.

Eli: (Confused.) Did they just bow to you?

YN: Not surprised since you know, Pronto is a king.

Trixie: Eli YN! How's Burpy and Frost?

Eli: See for yourself.

They both show Burpy and Frost are cured and back to normal which made the gang happy to see them OK.

Eli: I don't know what happened out here. You must have done something to impress the shadow clan.

Pronto: Ah it was nothing. It was bound to happen once they got to know Pronto, the worthy.

Kord: Glad that's over.

YN: As much I hate to say it, its not. If Burpy and Frost got the sickness because of the ghouls, then there's a chance that it'll happen the same thing to the other slugs.

Eli: Not until we stop Blakk from ghouling slugs. This is just the beginning.
