3rd POV

Blakk: Lumino ore. One of the primary sources of light and in Slugterra. And therefore, one of our most valuable commodities.

We see Twist and a squad of henchmen in the mining while Twist is holding a tablet where Blakk can communicate to the director of the mining facility.

Blakk: Your signature gives me the exclusive rights to all the ore in Lumino cavern. I of course will set the price.

Director: That ore belongs to all Slugterra.

Blakk: (Chuckles.) Not anymore.

One of the henchman brings the gatler before picking a ghoul out of it to reveal a new ghoul. The director eyes widen to knows the slug they posses.

Director: Those are Neotox slugs!

Blakk: No, those are Neurotox ghouls and I think their present should bring any negotiation to an end. Agreed?

Director didn't say anything, fearing for his workers and his cavern.

Blakk: (Smirk.) Good. My apprentice will see to the details. And Twist, make sure to do it right.

Twist nods and he changes the setting to application set on the tablet for the director. But the director hesitated, still trying to make a decision until Twist interrupted him.

Twist: What are you waiting for? Sign it!

Suddenly someone fired a slug, knocking the tablet out of Twist hand. Revealing it was YN who fired with his long shot blaster and with the Shane gang on his side.

Eli: (Grin.) We're here to renegotiate.

YN: That was a warning shot, so I trust you guys know what'll happen next.

They said nothing as they aim their blasters at the Shane gang.

YN: Go figured.

They begin firing at each other to claim the cavern. Eli and YN quickly got to cover before they saw Twist is on the gatler.

Twist: Stay back, I've got the gatler.

YN: I doubt you know how to use that.

Twist: One way to find out.

Eli: You're not gonna use that. You know what it can do.

Twist: You guys know what I can do too.

Eli: Yeah, we all saw Blakk take down the unbeatable master, but you're not Blakk.

Twist: You don't think I got the guts? You think I'm just gonna let this whole deal go up in flames?

Both of them fire their blaster at Twist but it turns out to be a illusion by Loki.

Eli: (Surprise.) Loki!

YN: Show yourself Twist!

Twist appears behind them with the gatler.

Twist: (Laughs.) I don't know what I'm gonna do if you ever stop falling for Loki's illusions.

YN: Twist, don't do it!

It was too late as he pulled the trigger and the gatler rapidly fires multiple Neurotox ghouls. But that didn't stop as its recoil was too powerful it goes out of control.

YN POV

YN: (Shouting.) EVERYBODY RUN TOWARDS THE EXIT!

Everyone did exactly what I said but the Neurotox ghouls unleashed a massive fog and spread faster than I thought. Long time ago, I've learn that once you breath in it, you'll be paralyzed as long as you're in the toxic. But now I know its much worst with ghouls as I see some of the miners turned to stone by the toxic.

I got on my mecha and get out of the fog as I catch up to the others.

Eli: (To Twist.) You knew what those ghouls would do!m

Twist: No....but I'm not sticking around to be a victim.

I see Twist just bailed from everything that's going on. As if this wasn't his problem anymore.

YN: Coward!

Kord: We gotta pull guys or we're gonna be stone cold stone! Everybody in there is already a statue!

Eli looks back at the miners who are stone before he joins us to the exit. Only a handful of miners were out of the fog.

Eli: We can trap the cloud with an ice wall!

Trixie: But those miners!

Eli: Aren't gonna be safe by letting everyone in this cavern get turned to stone.

YN: We're out of option, its now or never.

We pull out our blasters and fire Frostcrawlers to create a massive ice wall to prevent the fog to spread further to the cavern.

Trixie: That fog just kept growing and growing.

Kord: Like some kind of freaky chain reaction. I'm betting it has something to do with those neotox being ghouls.

YN: Ghouls or not, with that much, it can spread who know how far.

Suddenly we hear the cracks which comes from the ice wall.

YN: That ain't gonna hold it forever.

Eli: How much time before it breaks through?

Kord: I don't know bro. Just taking a guess I'd say this puppy's got oh....10 hours, 22 minutes, and 31 seconds before. (Mimic explosion sound.) You know, give or take the five seconds it took to just say that.

YN: (Impressed.) Good math though.

Kord: (Smiles.) Appreciate it.

Eli: So we've got 10 hours to find someone who knows about neotox slugs and how to stop them.

YN: Well....there is one.

Eli: Just one?

YN: You're probably not gonna like it.

Pronto: Only one slinger was ever twisted enough to make them his signature slug.

Kord: (Shivers.) Blight....

Trixie: And he hasn't been seen since your dad locked him up in the cavern of time.

Eli: Huh, he'll have to do.

Kord: Hold up bro, the cavern of time is like an inescapable maze.

YN: Once you're in, you'll never leave.

Pronto: Ha! What you are forgetting is that you have a molenoid to lead you.

Eli: Think you can get us in and out Pronto?

Pronto: (Smiles.) To fine a way in and out the of cavern of time, it is every molenoids dream!

YN: Just say yes or no! We're wasting time on the babbling!

Pronto: Then come let us make history!

Pronto leaves but I realize he's going the wrong way.

YN: Uh, the cavern is the other way.

Pronto: Oh uh, I knew that.

Time skip

   While we make our way to find Blight at the cavern, Eli asked about Blight which of course he might've know it if he was born here. (Sigh.) My mom once told me the story of where she came from. She's from the surface world, one beyond ours.

   But only 3 people knows about it before the Shane gang. Me, my dad, and Will Shane are the only ones who knows about it. But it has to stay secret from everyone for a good reason and I don't even want to imagine if it ever lead in a wrong path. I'm glad we destroyed the book holding the knowledge of the surface world before someone revealed it and spread it across slugterra. As much as I wish to know more, its better off to stay hidden secret for the greater good on both.

   Putting that aside, we explain to Eli about Blight that he's a slinger that uses Neotox slugs a lot and is a brutal slinger with it. Only reason he doesn't have the affect of the toxic is because he wears a gas mask to protect him. Dad fought him once before Will Shane took a huge risk to trick Blight to the cavern of time and left him there with impossible escape.

   Since that day, nobody knows what happened to him nor wants to know unless anyone want to risk going to the cavern of no return. Soon we arrive to the entrance of the cavern of time.

YN: This is it, cavern of time.

Pronto: (Smiles.) Ah, a one-way-trip to eternal fame! Yet uh by entering, we will put our very lives at risk.

Eli: If there's a chance to save those miners and everyone else, that's a risk I'll take any day. But that doesn't mean you guys have to.

Trixie: And pass up the chance to document one of the most mysterious places in slugterra? Yeah right.

Kord: Considering how lost you'd be without me on a normal day, you really think I'd let you go in there without me.

YN: Besides, if there's one thing Blakk and his goons doesn't have what we do, is friends who help slugterra together. So we're in this together no matter what.

Pronto: Haha, Pronto too gladly looks death in the eye and says-

We wasted no time but to enter the cavern while Pronto is doing his speech.

Pronto: Hey wait! You're missing my speech!

YN: (Shout at distance.) No time!

3rd POV

The cavern they've entered was dark as if the light hasn't reached in this cavern for century.

Soon the cavern start to shift by raising the ground and crumbling down like this cavern is alive.

Eli: That way!

The Shane gang follow Eli to safety from the shifting area as the ground raise where Kord and YN where standing with their mechas.

Eli: Kord, YN!

They both made their way down unharmed and regroup with the others.

YN: I'm starting to see how's it impossible to escape.

Eli: We'd better stay together, close together.

Trixie: That's the least of our problems. How are we gonna find our way back out?

Pronto: Problem? Ha! If you did not have the greatest tracker of all time, perhaps.but fear not, Pronto is using a secret ancient molenoid tracking method.

Trixie: Which is?

Pronto: (Laugh.) If I told you, it would no longer be a secret. But trust me, there is nothing to fear- AAAAAHH!

Pronto got scared by a reptiles-like rat that appeared on Pronto mecha before jumping off by his scream.

Eli: Relax Pronto, its just a little- Dinosaur!?

Pronto: I was uh merely startled. Leave this miniature menace to Pronto. I have deduced that they come in pairs, not a problem, I can handle two primitive brains just as easily as....

Soon more of them came.

Pronto: Uh this however, could be a problem.

The reptile rats charge at them while the Shane gang fires dozen of slugs to stop them but they just keep coming.

Trixie: Anything suggestion? Lavalinx? Jellyish?

Eli: Try them all, there's more than enough of these things to go around!

YN: Uh I don't think that's a good idea.

Kord: Agree. We gotta bail!

Eli: I'll clear out a path, then we roll. Ready?

Burpy nods and hop on the blaster before Eli fires him to clear the path for them to escape. But soon more of them came and blocking their path.

Trixie: This place needs a good exterminator.

Suddenly they hear a roar as the rats scattered until one was eaten by a 4-legged t-rex.

YN: Yeah I'd rather not sign up for that.

Trixie: Okay, not quite the pest control I was hoping for. Run!

They begin running away as it chases after them and soon to catch up to them.

YN: Oh no, I'm not gonna get eaten just to be here. Let's do this Frost!

YN fires Frost and she freezes the ground for the creature to slip and fall, buying themselves time.

Kord: Down here!

They follow Kord to get away from the dinosaur but ended up to a dead end.

Kord: Or you know....not?

The dinosaur cornered them as they were about to fire slugs, but suddenly out of nowhere, a rammstone knocks the dinosaur before a Neotox slug hit it and paralyzed the t-rex. Soon someone emerge out of the toxic fog and it was Blight who saved them.

Eli: I'm guessing that's Blight.

YN: (Nods.) Written all over the fog.

He then approaches the Shane gang as they aim their blasters at him.

Kord: That's close enough buddy.

Blight: (Removes his mask.) We must go...that thing will be anrgy when it...(Twitching.) Wakes!

They were silent until Kord whispers at Eli.

Kord: So Eli, wet gonna follow the evil dude who may be a little uh....(Mimic crazy person.)

Eli: Well, its that or wait around eaten.

Pronto: Would like to propose a third choice, but nothing comes to mind.

YN: Let's just get going.

Short time skip

They followed Blight who's going who knows where. But at least its away from those dinosaurs.

Blight: Its...been a long time...since I've had...(Twitching.)

Kord: (Nervous.) Had what? New victims?

Blight didn't say anything as he's still twitching until he speak again.

Blight: Company...

Everyone sigh in relief.

Trixie: That's a good sign. He think of us company.

YN: At the moment at least. Let's keep it that way.

Eli and YN approach Blight while they were still on their mechas.

Blight: Every creature here is either food or...trying to make you....

Eli: You've been here for years, I can only imagine-

Blight: Food...!

YN: Imagining food?

Blight: (Points.) Food!

A big dragonfly like bug fly towards Eli but Blight snatches it quickly before takes a bite of the head which disgusted them as Blight realized them.

Blight: Oh, my manners...I should have offered you...the first bite...

Blight offers it to one of them, Eli nervously smiles but YN takes it and bites it before chewing to protect his friends. They were disgusted of how YN ate it without hesitation.

YN: (Chewing.) Noh baf. Hery hood.

Blight: Its just that you never know what may be...poisonous...

YN:......

YN spits out green goo before grabs his water bottle to rinse off the stuff in his mouth. After that, he offers it to Bright in order to gain "friendship." Which he accept it and empty it.

Pronto: My keen sense of observation tells me this fellow is how should I say....utterly and completely out of his mind!

Trixie: Yeah, but he seems almost nice. You know, in a creepy weird sort of way.

Kord: Guys like him don't just change. No matter how long they've been cooped up in the land of the lost.

Trixie: Let's just hope he has enough sense left to help us. We're running out of time. (Whispers to Eli and YN.) Guys?

Eli: (Whispers.) Uh yeah. (To Blight.) So uh, we know a thing or two about neotox slugs which is good because we need someone with that kind of expertise.-

A fly flew by and Blight quickly bites it and chews it.

YN: Uh, what we're trying to say is uh, we need your help. If you come with us at the luminal cavern you can help u-

Blight stops before he chuckles in a creepy way.

YN: Is there a problem?

Blight: Come with you guys? You are as trapped here as I...we are all now lifelong residents of the cavern of time.

Eli: What if I told you we have a way out? We'll lead you there in exchange for your help with mutant neotox fog that keeps getting bigger.

Blight: Hmm...a way out. (Twitching.) This cloud that won't go away, its called a neotox fog.

YN: Yeah, we learn that part. Do you know anything about it?

Blight: It happens if you fire too many neotox at once I...I can stop a neotox fog.

Eli: You stop it, we'll give you your freedom.

Eli offers him a handshake and he accept it to seal the deal. But suddenly Kord pulled Eli back to talk with him and the gang privately while YN keeps Blight distracted.

Trixie: You sure about this Eli?

Pronto: That man is completely out of his gourd!

Kord: Not to mentioned dangerous. Your dad trapped him in here, you gotta think he's still got a grudge against the Shane. Probably DN LN too.

Eli: He still doesn't know that's me now and I highly doubt he knows YN too. So we're not gonna tell him. I know its a risk, but its the only way to save Lumino.

The Shane gang look each other and nods except for pronto who shook his head but notice they agree with him so pronto nods.

Eli: Besides, if it comes down to it I'm sure we can find a way to handle Blight. Uh but just to be safe-

YN then returns with Blight blaster and gas mask.

YN: You guys OK?

Eli: Yeah. I see you got his blaster and mask.

YN: Just to be safe for sure. You'd be surprised when a man is willing do anything to get out of here.

Eli: Okay Pronto, now its all on you and your ancient molenoid secrets.

Pronto: (Grin.) Well in that case, we are mere moments from our exit!

Short time skip

They follow Pronto to the exit but Pronto stop until Eli approaches him and whispers.

Eli: Uh Pronto? Can't help but notice its taking a little more than "mere moments".

Pronto: (Whispers.) Well uh that is because has stolen the trail.

Eli: (Whispers and shock.) Stolen the trail, you mean you lost it!? Pronto we're running out of time!

Suddenly they hear a roar that is near.

Blight: The beast has picked up our sense!

YN: We must hurry before it find us.

Pronto: Uh yes, yes, but this will not be a problem. Because we can simply follow the trail that I Pronto have not lost. (Whispers to Eli.) My molenoid has been tampered with! I dropped breadcrumbs to mark our path, and now they're gone!

Pronto hold out breadcrumbs but Kord snatches it.

Kord: (Whispers.) That was your ancient molenoid secret? Breadcrumbs!?

He throws it away only to have a reptile rat pick it up and eats it before spit it out while Pronto saw everything.

Pronto: (Gasp.) You eat my trail and spit it out! You ungrateful beast-

Trixie shut his mouth from talking.

Trixie: (Whispers.) Did you say that any louder? If it were for YN distracting Blight, he may have learn that we lose the track.

Meanwhile with Blight and YN. YN is trying to distract Blight from overhearing the Shane gang.

Blight: Hmm, your friends seem to having trouble to find the exit.

YN: Believe me, if we didn't have a professional tracker, we wouldn't be here.

Blight: A big risk for going in and out without a tracker.

YN: Well you know, molenoids are good at tracking with their strong sense of smell. But in case he fails, we can always use him as a bait for the creatures.

Blight: True...

Just then they see Pronto sniff and disgusted by the sense to caught.

Pronto: Ack!....this way.

YN: (To Blight.) See? What'd I told you?

They follow Pronto who's sniffing their tracks. Few minutes later Pronto still sniffing their track until he notice its close.

Pronto: We are close!

They continue to follow him until they arrive to the end of the track.

Trixie: That must be the exit, we made it!

Eli: Let's go, we've got maybe a half hour before the ice wall breaks.

They got out of the cavern of time and wasted no time to head straight to Lumino cavern.

Eli: The ice wall, its still up. We made it in time.

Suddenly the ice wall breaks down and the neurotox fog started to escape.

Kord: Looks like time just ran out bro.

Blight: This fog...was created by neotox slugs?

Trixie: Ghoul neotox slugs. Things have changed since you've been gone.

YN: We've held our end of the bargain, now you must do the same. Help us stop it.

Blight: My gear first.

YN nods and hand him the blaster.

YN: You'll get your mask once you've clear out the fog.

Blight said nothing but fires a vinedrills but instead, it pass through the Shane gang and hits the ground before the vines emerge from underground. Once the flowers from the vines opened, it sucks the fog as much as it can. The Shane gang witness and were amazed by the vinedrills clearing it out.

Blight continues onward while firing more vinedrill slugs to clear out the fog. Soon the toxic fog is finally gone thanks to the vinedrill slugs. With it, the miners turn back to normal from being victimized from the neurotox fog.

Trixie: Who knew vinedrill would do that?

Eli: Blight did.

YN: Thank you for saving Lumino.

YN hands Blight his gask mask back who retrieves it. But suddenly the vines begin to act weird.

Trixie: Guys the vines!

YN POV

We see the vines begins to corrupted and turns into a plant monster. I never thought this would happen until now.

YN: (To miners.) Get out of here!

The miners did what I told them as more of the vines turn into monsters.

YN: I don't get it, how did this happen?

Kord: The ghoul gas must have corrupted them.

Eli: Blight's done his part, let's do ours!

YN: Let's go Mercy!

I fire Mercy to cure the corrupted vines until we notice Eli was caught by one.

Kord: Bro!

Pronto: Once again, it is up to Pronto and the Shane gang-

YN: PRONTO!!

Blight: Shane?

Pronto: Uh oh...

Blight: Will Shane is no more? Replace by a boy? (Chuckles and puts on his mask.) His son perhaps. I will have my revenge on you before I deal with DN LN.

Blight loads his neotox slug and aims until I fired Heavy to stop him.

YN: If its LN you want to fight, then you got his son too!

Blight: DN LN son? (Chuckles.) This day just keeps getting interesting.

YN: You guys get Eli out from those vines!

I toss Mercy to Trixie to cure the vines. After that, I fired Shocker and Wrecker at him but he dodges them until my friends called me to leave after they cured all of the vines. I fired Flash to blind Blight before I whispered loudly to call my mecha and hop on as we run away.

Trixie: Thanks for the healer slug YN.

Trixie hands back the Mercy before I ask.

YN: What's the plan now?

Eli: We're gonna get him to follow us right back where he belongs, the cavern of time!

Bight then fires his neotox slug towards us. Luckily it can't catch up to us except for Pronto since his mecha wasn't fast enough.

Pronto: Stay back you foul fog! Pronto will not be silenced by-

It was too late as he breathes in it and became paralyzed by the fog.

Eli: Pronto!

YN: At least that'll shut him up for once.

3rd POV

Suddenly Blight fired a hoprock slug to knock their mechas before he got off of his.

Blight: Heh, like bugs scurrying for cover only to be squashed.

Kord: Oh no you don't!

Out of nowhere, Kord punches Blight as he drop his blaster before getting back up and punch back.

YN: Get Pronto out of the fog!

YN joins in the fight while Eli uses his arachnet slug to get Pronto out of the fog. Blight trapped Kord with the vinedrill slug but YN punches Blight, only for him to fire a neotox slug at YN.

Kord: YN!

Blight: (Chuckles.) One out, one to go-

Suddenly a punch landed to Blight face, revealing YN with his bandana mask on from breathing in the fog. Giving him a chance to get out before its too late. 

YN: Already big guy, let's see what you got without your neotox slug.

YN grips his fist, ready to fight hand to hand combat. This made Blight grin to see a worthy opponent. They trade punches until YN throws a kick to knock him back and fell to the ground. YN takes a knees to catch his breath from all those punches Blight did.

   However, this distraction cause his guard to lower as Blight knocks him out with a powerful punch, causing YN to fall down. Blight was about to finish him off until Eli charges at him.

Eli: Let's go Blight! You want me, I'm right here!

Blight: Breath my poison...!

Blight fires his neotox slug at Eli as the gas caught him. Eli hold his breath as long as he can as he notice Blight is approaching him. Eli quickly goes for the punch but his fist was inches away from blight head.

Blight: (Laughs.) Sleep forever.

Unbeknownst to Blight, Eli fist was holding Burpy as he stealthily land on Blight shoulder and press the button on his mask to fall of. Before Blight could react, it was too late for him as well. YN gets back up and fire his tormato slug twist to clear out the fog, only to see they're both paralyzed by it.

Kord: Yes!

Trixie: It worked!

Everyone cheered as Pronto was back to normal.

Pronto: -your foul gas!.....Oh, did we win?

YN POV

YN: Hard to believe it, but we took down Blight before he could cause more trouble.

Pronto: Once again, Pronto-

YN: Don't even get me start Pronto!

Pronto: Oh, sorry.

Trixie and I help Kord out of the vines.

Kord: So what are we gonna do now?

YN: We gotta deal with Blight before he wakes up from this. But first.

I pick up one of his neotox slug.

YN: Okay buddy, I'm giving you a choice. You can join Blight back to the cavern of time or you can stay with us? Up to you.

The slug quickly nods as agreeable to stay with us until I got a call and answered it.

YN: What's up?..... Over there huh?....you sure?.... Okay, thanks I'll head there.

I get up and head to my mecha beast until I was stop by my friends.

Trixie: Where are you going?

YN: There's a unfinished business we've missed. But leave it to me, you guys focus on helping Eli and deal with Blight. Oh and Kord?

Kord: Yeah?

YN: My mom told me to give this to you to to see it it needs more improvement. We're gonna need it.

I hand him the blueprint before I leave the gang for a unfinished business.

Time skip, Eli POV

The last thing I remembered is that I got hit by the Neotox slug before I blacked out. After that, I woke up only to see Pronto face and the rest except for YN. I sit up to remember everything that just happened.

Eli: What happened?

Pronto: (Smiles.) I Pronto the historical significance, have become the only tracker to ever find his way into and out of the cavern of time.

Eli: I mean what happened to Blight?

Kord: Don't worry buddy, let's just say he's doing some time.

Eli: Okay. What about YN?

Trixie: He said he has some unfinished business to deal with.

Kord: I don't know what, but I do know we need to meet Red Hook soon.

Eli: Why?

Kord: Let's just say MN came up with a plan to help us and to meet her at Red Hook when we're ready.

3rd POV

Somewhere at the city. We see Twist is walking through the city as he head towards his mecha beast until he hears a familiar voice.

???: How's the weather going?

Twist quickly turn around only to meet a fist hitting directly to his face before getting knocked back in the alley. The punch came from YN as he aims his blaster towards Twist who's down.

Twist: So this is the part where I say "Oh no, you got me."?

YN: Would it make any difference?

Twist: (Smirk.) For you? Probably. But for me?

YN hears a blaster ready, revealing its the real Twist aiming at YN yet didn't move an inch.

Twist: (Smirk.) Wow, I think I might get tired of fooling you and Eli with Loki's illusion-

Suddenly out of nowhere someone fired a slug with arachnet slug and blast its web at Twist the wall. Showing the real YN as the fake vanish into Blindsight.

YN: I'm 2 steps ahead of you remember, you should have if you'd stop with your game. Because I'm done playing games.

YN approaches while reload his blaster before he stepped on Loki to prevent it to use its illusions while aiming his blaster at Twist.

YN: Look familiar?

Twist sees its a Neotox slug who's growling at Twist.

Twist: Neotox slug!?

YN: Yeah, meet my new friend Neo. Now if you don't want your lungs taste this toxic then you better start listening when I'm talking to you.

Twist did exactly what he say as he drop his blaster.

YN: What you did was unforgivable with those ghouls you've unleashed in the mining cavern. Those innocent lives in there would've been in danger if we didn't risked ours to save them.

Twist: So what are you going to do to me, give me the taste of my own medicine?

YN: ....No.

YN lower his blaster but still holding Loki with his foot.

YN: I'm giving you a warning. Leave Blakk while you still can, but pull that again and I'll make sure you and your pal will never see the light ever again. And trust me when I say I'm the least of your worries at the moment.

He turns around after releasing Loki and leaves. But stops only to speak.

YN: One more thing. Between you and me, we're both survivors. Only difference is that you pick a fight to destroy Slugterra just to get power for yourself, I don't. Better remember that the next time we meet.

YN head towards his mecha beast to leave out of the city before calling someone.

YN: Thanks for finding Twist for me Dana. I owe you one.

Dana: [How bout a date sometimes.]

YN: (Chuckles.) You're not thinking I'll pay for diner right?

Dana: [Dead people can't pay. Besides, you know it took very long to find him.]

YN: Fair enough, I'll see you around.
