3rd POV

Nightfall came in Slugterra and all the Shane gang are sleeping at Shane base. But suddenly, a thief snuck through the window quietly while climbing on the walls like a spider until she landed. But she landed in front of Pronto who caught her by surprise.

However, she notice that he's sleep walking and wasn't aware of her present as he walks downstairs. She then continues as she's looking for something in steal while Pronto approaches towards the fridge and grabs a sandwich.

Meanwhile in one of the rooms, we see YN is sleeping with his pajamas and in a deep sleep.

YN POV

God after fighting Twist, I thought chilling at the theater to watch a movie with my gang. But then the Hoola gang had to ruin it by fighting us in the theater. Worst part was that they woke up a freaken ice ogres that almost destroy the cavern and we were lucky enough to get a siren slug-

YN: (Sniff sniff.) 'Something doesn't smell right....'

YN: (Growls.) Pronto....!

Without wasting time, I quickly grab my blasters and loaded Frost and Spidey before barging through the door and aims.

YN: PRONTO, YOU SANDWICH STEALING MOLENOID! YOU HAVE 3 SECONDS TO PUT MY SANDWICH BACK OR I'LL-

Just then my eyes caught a familiar face as well as my slugs and both our eyes made contact.

YN & ???: You!

We both point our blasters at each other until Eli appear behind and aim his blaster at her.

Eli: Can we help you?

???: How'd you know I was here? I disabled your alarm.

Eli: Maybe, but this place has all sorts of eyes and ears.

Eli slugs appear from their hiding.

YN: Its 2 against 1. Or should I say, 3 slugs against 1.

???: So you guys want to play with slugs huh?

3rd POV

She aims her other blaster at Eli as the rest wakes up except for Pronto to see what's going on.

Trixie: (Yawn.) What's going on?

She points her blaster up and fires a arachnet slug to use its web to swing. She shoots another towards Eli and his arm got stuck by the chair.

YN: Watch it, she has arachnet slugs!

Trixie: Okay not what I was expecting.

She aims at the thief but she blast a speedstinger slug to bounce Trixie's blater away. Kord shoots a hoprock but misses and made a hole in the ceiling.

Trixie: (Upset.) Guys, what's the rule about firing a hoprock in the house!?

Kord: My bad!

She knock Kord down and Eli fires a jellyish slug, but she quickly dodges it.

Eli: Use a jellyish! They're messy but at least they won't destroy the place.

They nods and fire the jellyish slug to stop her but she was too fast. Eli continues to fire until he fell. Luckily his slugs cut the webs off of him.

Eli: (To his slugs.)

YN: I got her!

YN fire Spidey to catch her with the net but she evades it.

???: I'm not falling for that trick again.

YN: Good think I came prepared.

He fires Frost and she freezes the spider web and the thief fell. Trixie aims her blaster at the thief to prevent her from escaping.

Eli: There's nowhere to run. So now might be the time to tell us why Blakk sent you before my friends get trigger happy.

YN and Kord aim their blasters at her.

???: Blakk? I don't work with that slug turd, I work alone.

She then sweep Trixie leg before she quickly escaped through the hole made by Kord.

???: You can't hide it forever.

Eli: Wait, hide what? Who are you?

???: I want my share of that treasure.

Pronto: (Wakes up.) Treasure?

???: And I promise you, I'll get it.

She then escape with her arachnet slugs by swinging from one web to another.

Eli: Does anyone know who that was?

Trixie: I'm still going with one of Blakks latchies.

Eli: I don't know, no real reason to lie about that. And she wasn't using ghouls slugs.

YN: That's 'cause she's not. She work alone.

Eli: (Curious.) You know her?

YN: (Nods.) Her name is Dana Por, she's one of the top thief's in Slugterra. Best one if certain. But not better than Pronto!

YN snatches his sandwich from Pronto before eating.

Trixie: So that year after your dad disappearance, you've been going after her?

YN: Not exactly a year but yeah. Whatever she's after, must be more value than we know.

Trixie: Sounds like you know her well.

YN: Gotta know who you're dealing with before you go slug blazing.

Eli: So what treasure could she be talking about?

Trixie: Obviously she was after the legendary Shane treasure.

Eli: Well, if its so legendary, how come I've never heard of it?

Kord: This wouldn't be the first time your dad kept secret from you.

YN: I'm sure he had his reason, probably aren't good ones.

Trixie: Just think, you could have a vast fortune hidden somewhere. You could be rich!

Pronto: (Smiles.) Riiich...

Eli: Rich? I don't know, my dad talked about cashes of stuff hidden around Slugterra. Things I'll need someday. But I think he would have said something about fortune.

YN: To be fair, someone might've figured it out. That's why he might've stayed silent about that part.

Eli: Fair point.

Trixie: Some of it could be hidden here...right under our noses!

They all begin to look for anything of the treasure. Leaving nothing unturn until Eli sees the portrait of him and his dad.

Eli: Hmm...more secrets huh?

He then removed it to reveal a lock safe hidden behind the portrait as they all see it.

Eli then tries to open until YN step up.

YN: Allow me Eli. This requires a real professional. (Cracks his knuckles.) Ahem. Would you do the honor Kord?

Kord nods and breaks the lock. Soon it revealed to be some kind of large brick. Eli picks it up and shows it to everyone.

Pronto: (Excited.) Open it!

Eli: Okay, okay. But I'm not sure how or even where.

Pronto: Allow me!

Pronto grabs it but Kord snatched it before Pronto could throw it to the ground. Kord then examine the object before speaking.

Kord: I haven't seen one of these in ages. The things been coated with smoltan.

YN: Why would someone coated with smoltan?

Kord: Probably for an extra secure. One thing for sure, only way we're getting this baby open is with a forgesmelter slug.

Pronto: Aw but we don't have one of those!

Eli: Well, where could we find one?

Pronto: Oh, we would have to travel to the deepest regions of the magma caverns.

Trixie: Its way too dangerous, its basically all molten lava.

YN: One of the hottest cavern in Slugterra.

Frost then whimpers from hearing it until he pats her head.

YN: Can't blame you. Nobody likes to live on heated caverns, especially the molten lava.

Kord: Don't forget the magma monsters.

Pronto: and the ferocious lava bats that will swoop down and gorge themselves on my (Nervous.) sweltering brain.

Eli: (Smirk.) Sounds like my kind of place.

YN: Please tell me you are joking....?

Eli: (Ignores.) Let's load up gang.

Eli heads to the mecha while the rest couldn't believe him.

YN: (Sigh.) I hate it when does that. Let's just get this over with before Dana returns.

They all head to their mecha beast and takes off to the magma cavern. But little did they know is that they're being followed.

Time skip

It hasn't been long since they left, and now they're close to the magma cavern.

Trixie: So Eli, you don't find it at all ridiculous that your dad not only expected you to find that chest without instructions, but he didn't even leave you a way to open it if you found it?

Eli: Uh, my dad always liked me to figure things out for myself.

Trixie: And you're cool with this?

Eli: Doesn't matter whether or not I'm cool with it, its just a way it is.

YN: For his sake I hope he knows what exactly we're getting into.

Suddenly the lava bats roam through them by flying.

YN: Lava bats!

Eli: Pronto, give me a Flatulorhinkus!

Pronto nods and blast it as Eli blast a Bubbaleone as it swallowed the stink slug to combined their attack and traps every lava bats. Once it was over, all the bats fell from the smell.

Trixie: Nice one!

YN: And stinky, quite effective though.

Soon they continue onward until the ocean of lava was in their way.

Trixie: Um, how are we supposed to cross an ocean of lava?

YN: We should find another way through the lava.

Pronto: Never fear, Pronto the magnificent shall drain the sea of fire (Look at his watch...Now!

Nothing happened and Pronto loom at his watch again.

Pronto: Uh, I mean....now!

Suddenly the lava immediately sinks down, revealing the path as it caught everyone surprise.

Eli: Pronto, how did you...

Pronto: (Smiles.) Magnificent, eh?

YN: Huh, guess you can learn a thing or two from Pronto.

Pronto: Also, the lava tides goes in and out every hour on the hour like clockwork. So if we are to do this ridiculous crazy thing and get ourselves some sweet sweet treasure, we must embark immediately. The drowning fire clock is already ticking. 59 minutes.

YN: Last one there is a rotten toasted bread!

They wasted no time but to accelerate their speed to make haste before the lava returns as Eli saw something near until Trixie ask.

Trixie: What is it Eli?

Eli: I thought I saw....(sigh.) Nothing. I just can't stop wondering of how Dana could have known about this chest.

Kord: She couldn't possibly be dumb enough time come here. We own that level of dumbness.

YN: I would not underestimate her. She's crafty and smart. Not in our level of dumbness, but we're definitely not her level of her smartness. She could be one step ahead of us before we know it.

Eli: Care to tell us more about her?

YN: I would prefer to focus on the danger in front of us before the lava returns.

Kord: No argument there.

Time skip

The Shane gang went through lot of dangers in the magma cavern, giant lava fish and the firegeysers. The lava fish was the worst since it destroyed the only bridge in the cavern. But they still needed to press one until they finally arrive at the nest of the forgesmelter slugs.

Pronto: We made it! Behold, the fabled forgesmelter chamber.

Kord: Well let's just find one quick and get out of here.

Kord then spotted one until a web pull it away. Revealing Dana who was here first and on the ceiling. 

Dana: Or you can just give me that chest. Since I've got the only key.

YN: Dana Por, I've should've expect you'd be here before us.

Dana: And yet here we are with only one key.

Eli: You think that's the only slug in this cavern?

Dana: The only one you're gonna find, I just unleashed a frostcrawler and scared off all the others.

Pronto: It could be hours before they returned!

Dana lower herself to their level before continue speaking.

Dana: Buuut the lava tide will be back a whole lot sooner, so you're gonna give me my share of that treasure or we all gonna boil?

YN then aim both his blaster at her.

YN: Hand over the slug. I won't say it the second time.

Dana: Aw really YN? You wouldn't shoot your girlfriend now, would you?

Shane gang: (Shouting.) SHE'S YOUR GIRLFRIEND!?!

YN: Things didn't go out well between us! Okay can we just focus on this first?

Dana: Even if you could get the slug, you wouldn't have enough time to escape from the lava tide.

Eli: Look, I don't why you think you gave dibs on anything in that chest.

Dana: I guess your cowboy friend told you who I am. But if that doesn't ring a bell, perhaps this will.

Dana shows Eli a photo of YN and Eli's dads along with her.

Dana: You recognize that man with your dad and his?

Eli: Yeah, that's Tom...Por. He's your father isn't he?

YN: Wait what?

Eli: My dad talked about him all the time. They were like best friends, until he betrayed them.

Dana: Betrayed Will Shane and DN LN? (Scoff.) Your dad obviously didn't tell you the whole story. At least DN didn't saw the whole picture like my dad until it was too late.

Kord: Ooh there's a shocker. Sorry dude.

Eli: Heh, my dad's been known to leave out a detail or two.

YN: (Stern.) He leaves out a lot of important stuff than my dad. (To Dana.) Heck you never told me he was your dad.

Dana: He was Will Shane's recon man and he was the best there was at getting information before DN goes all out fighting the bad guys, and all of that valuable info went into Will Shane. This helped them stay one step ahead of the bad guys. They were all great team, but my dad knew something wasn't right about Will Shane as DN knew it too.

   He would disappear for days at a time and never have an explanation for where he went. Will Shane was keeping a lot of secrets, so my dad and DN agreed and decided to start watching your father. He was hiding treasure, treasure he promised to share with them. But that wasn't the worst of it, Will Shane was working with the enemy.

Eli: My dad would never worked with Blakk!

Dana: Not Blakk, even worse....The Shadow Clan.

YN: What!?

Dana: Its true, when my father confronted him about this. Will denied everything, except the treasure part. So my father became angry and challenged your dad in a duel.

   DN tried to stop it all, but it wasn't enough. And we all know what happens when you challenge Will Shane to a duel. Which is why you're gonna give me his cut.

YN was still holding his blasters at Dana.

YN: My dad never told me anything about this.

Dana: Like I said, he never saw the whole picture until it was too late.

Eli: Dana, I can't believe my father would do that. But I also can't explain or understand his actions.

Pronto: Pronto finds this all very moving, but he would also like to remind you that the lava tide will return soon! Nervous (Chuckles.) So uh....

Eli: I don't care about gold. If that's all you're after, I'll give you a share. If you give us the slug so we can get out of here.

Pronto: Yes, yes, get out of here!

Dana: No. (Aims her blaster.) We open it here, right now!-

YN: We don't have time for this! (Charge his blaster.) Even though you told us about you dads story, I still don't trust you.

Eli: YN, stop! This isn't the time about this!

YN and Dana still hold their blasters at each other until YN lowers them.

YN: Fine, make this quick. (To Dana.) No funny business.

Dana tosses the slug to Eli and YN grabs the treasure from his mecha and place it to the ground. Eli then blast the forgesmelter at the treasure, cleansing the smolten until the chest is finally revealed.

Dana then picks it up and open it.

But it then reveal to be nothing but some junk.

(I'll give you one good guess.)

Dana: Its just a bunch of junk! What is all this? You trying to scam me!? Worthless, trash, junk!

Eli: Told you there was no fortune, though I was hoping there would be too.

YN: I don't believe this, all this time we came all the way here risking our lives just for this!? (Sigh Deeply.) Remind me not to kill Will Shane if I ever see him again...

Dana then picks up some kind of black and green crown a like and inspects it.

Dana: Hmm, maybe I can melt this thing down or something.

YN: Wait, that looks like a shadow clan design. (Whispers.) Why does it look familiar?

YN then realize what it is but then notice Dana is about to put it on.

YN: Dana don't!

It was too late as Dana puts it on, but in an instant, she collapse as its hurting her head.

YN: Dana!

YN immediately get it off of her and tosses it away.

Trixie: Are you okay? What just happened.

Dana: (Breathes heavily.) The shadow clan....they're coming...

Dana then fainted. Before they could do anything, the shadow clan arrive in an instant and surrounding them.

YN: Looks like we hit the mother's nest.

Kord: How they get here so fast!?

Eli: Who cares? Let's make them leave.

They shoot slugs at them but the shadow clan just slaps it away like it was nothing.

Pronto: (See his watch.) The lava tide is coming!

Trixie: We can't leave her here!

YN: I got her!

YN picks her up and gently place her on his mecha while Eli grabs the crown object.

Trixie: Come on Eli!

Eli: I'm coming! (Grabs his blaster.) Go big Burpy!

Eli fires Burpy before running towards his mecha as Burpy fly straight to the lava in the center. Causing a massive eruption of the lava. The Shane gang run away from 2 things, the lava tide is coming and the shadow clan are chasing after them.

YN: We gotta slow them down!

Eli nods and shoots a hoprock slug to the ceiling cave to block them, but it wasn't enough as they just teleported through the rocks. Soon they were halfway through the lava cavern as Dana woke up.

Dana: What...?

She then realize where they are and softly gasp.

YN: Oh hey how's it going?

Dana: What's going on?

YN: Oh not much, just running away from the shadow clan.

Eli: These guys are unstoppable!

YN: Just focus on getting out of here before the lava tide will burn us! 

YN focus on jumping from one floating rock after another while Dana notice something glowing on the chest that caught her interest.

Eli: So uh, remember what I say about crossing that bridge when we come to it?

Pronto: Hmm?

Pronto: We're gonna die!

Kord: YN!

YN: Got it!

Kord and YN fires Frostcrawlers to create an ice bridge.

YN: Hang on, this is about to be slippery ride!

They run on the ice bridge until they reach the end which it wasn't enough to cross. Dana and YN look and nod at each other as they both fire their arachnet slug to create a web bridge.

Dana: (Smirk.) Just like good times huh partner?

YN: Don't even get me start on this and also I'm the one with the cowboy hat?

The web bridge was bouncy but they manage to get through but Pronto who was the last, almost got his pants burned right when the lava tide started to rise. Thankfully he burned the web bridge so that the shadow clan won't cross.

Pronto: (Panting.) And that my friends, is why we do not ever go back to magma caverns again!

YN: If I ever get a forgesmelter slug, I'll never come back to this cavern ever again.

Soon the shadow clan made their way across and the Shane gang continue to run away from them until YN and Trixie notice Eli is behind.

Trixie: Eli, stay with us!

Eli: Get Dana out of here! I'll catch up!

YN POV

I loom back to see Eli is drawing all of them away which got me worried that he'll be fighting them alone.

YN: Dang it, I'm not gonna leave him. You guys take Dana!

Trixie: Its too dangerous for you!

YN: So is Eli, I'm not gonna leave him alone with them!

Dana: Its too late for him.

YN: I'm not gonna loose someone I care. Now go!

I stop only for Dana to hop off. Once she was off, I wasted no time but to hit the petal to the metal and catch up. I quickly use Del to dig a tunnel for me to get to Eli. Once I made it to Eli, I notice he was at the dead end.

Eli: What are you doing here!?

YN: I'm not gonna loose someone I care from the shadow clan.

Soon we hear them coming close as I grab my blasters.

YN: If you're staying, so am I. Don't forget, You're a Shane.

Eli: And you're a LN, we don't hesitate to work together.

We both nod as we take our aim until Burpy pulls out the crown object to show Eli.

Eli: You want me to put this on?

YN: No way, you saw what happened to Dana.

Burpy nods as we hear them getting closer.

YN: We don't have time for this.

Eli: Please don't fry my brain.

I then saw Eli putting it on and it did the same thing to Dana. I was about to take it off of him until the shadow clan arrived. I quickly pull out my blasters until Frost stops me and I suddenly understand what the leader is saying.

???: It belongs to usss...

Eli: (Confused.) Are you talking to me?

YN: Looks like he is.

The reason I understand what they're saying was because I studied the scroll my dad left for me ever since. Had to stay up all night and it finally paid off.

Leader: Who are you that you can withstand the power of the shadow talker.

(YN next to Eli.)

YN & Eli: The shadow talker?

They look at me with a surprising look as the leader answer first.

Leader: The circuit on your brow, it allows to communication between the wearer and the shadow clan, but not all can survive its mind-bending force.

YN: Well that would've explain why it didn't work when Dana tried it.

Leader: (To YN.) And who are you to understand our language without it? Very few can understand it? So we inquire.

Shadow clan: Who are you twooo....

I lower my blasters before we answer their question.

Eli: I'm Eli Shane, My father was Will Shane.

YN: And I'm YN LN, my dad is DN LN.

They were looking at each other surprised as they were echoing our dads name.

Leader: (To Eli.) Your father could not handle the shadow talker's full strength, and it appears you aren't ready to wear it just yet. But we will allow you to keep it for the day when you are ready. Now remove it, before it takes your mind!

They then leave until Eli ask them a question, I don't blame him, I needed an answer from them too.

Eli: Wait, who are you people, what do you want?

Leader: The same thing all Shane's want, including your father.

YN: What about my father, you were the last ones who saw him before his disappearance. What happened to him?

Leader: The same as all LN's do in the time of unbalanced. And so, we'll meet again.

Neither of us could understand what they mean. In the end, more unanswered questions appeared in front of us as they disappear before Eli removed the shadow talker.

???: Eli, YN!

My thoughts were interrupted by everyone else arriving from the tunnel I made.

Kord: Guys! How did you guys escaped from the shadow clan.

Eli: I'm still trying to figure out what happened myself. They just left-

YN: No, we need to stop keeping secrets from each other.

Eli: But-

YN: No, I'm not gonna repeat my dads step just for keeping secrets from our friends.

Trixie: He's right, it might be a lot easier if we figure it out together.

Frost and Burpy nods.

YN: Right. For starters, last week after the bullseye mission, my dad left me a message and a scroll that helps me understand their language.

They became surprise from hearing the news.

Eli: And this thing allowed me to talk to them.

Kord: No way, you can understand them?

Trixie: And that did what?

Eli: I put it on just like Dana and- wait, where is Dana?

Kord: No clue, the second YN left to help you and I turn back to check on her and she was just gone.

YN: I always said she's one step ahead, but this is a whole new level. That's for sure.

Eli: I have a feeling we'll see her again. My dad kept these things hidden for a reason. That was his treasure and I don't think Dana Por is done hunting for what she thinks is hers.

YN: That's how thieves are. By now she's probably laying low.

Eli: Right. So we agree we're not gonna keep secrets, so what's you're story with Dana Por?

YN: I was going to get there, just hoping we'd catch a break at Shane base before I tell you guys everything about us.

Kord: After everything we went through recently, can't say I disagree.

We all nod and we head back home, after that, straight to telling them about me and Dana back story.

Eli: Alright, now that things are settle down. Can you tell us about what happened between you and Dana?

Trixie: And that she's your girlfriend.

YN: (Sips tea.) Well, I guess its time to tell you the whole story. It goes back after my dad disappearance....
