YN POV

Less than 2 days since we've raided the ghoul depot and saved a lot of slugs. Things been going smooth since then. But still wasn't enough unless we take cut of the dark water Blakk has.

   Right now I'm just relaxing on my mecha beast right by the cliff as my slugs are relaxing as well. With my hat blocking my eyes from the light.

Its been quiet until I got a call from Eli.

Eli: [Can anyone read me?]

Pronto: [Naturally, and as always.]

Kord: [In position.]

Trixie: [We're good to go Eli.]

YN: (Stretching.) [Bout time. I was getting bored here.]

Eli: [Okay, then legs go steal ourselves a train.]

YN: Alright guys, its show time.

My slugs get ready as I load Bolin in my longshot blaster. Ready to start the operations.

24hrs earlier, 3rd POV

Back in the Shane base, the gang's been discussion of the operations.

Eli: Here's what we know, Tomorrow night Dr Blakk is moving a shipment of dark water to a secure facility. This isn't your average mark. Blakk's not taking chances, we're talking armed guards, private train, the works.

Trixie: We hit Blakk less than 2 days ago, shouldn't be be regrouping?

Eli: Twist?

Twist: The opposite. If anything, Blakks stepping up his game. You cut off his supply when you took out the Deadweed mined, but he still got plenty.

YN: Still doesn't stop him from ghouling slugs. No matter how much slugs we save, he'll keep getting and ghouling more. Dark water is the real thing.

Eli: Twist intel suggests that dark water is being moved from Blakks fortress to a depot in the outer caverns.

Trixie: Don't blame him, I wouldn't wanna live on top of that stuff.

Eli: This is it guys, we pull this off and we out Dr Blakk out of the ghoul business for good.

Everybody nods except for Kord who's been quiet this whole time.

Eli: Kord? Kord.

Kord: Huh?

Eli: You're listening?

Kord: Uh yeah sorry, what?

Eli: The mission briefing?

Kord: Sorry, I'm still thinking about ghoul depot. Doesn't make any sense. I shut down the security grid, then Twist went in and Diablos appeared behind us. But how'd he even know we were there?

Twist: Let it go, Kord. Eli needs you in the game.

YN: I don't have to worry, its in the past. So we gotta focus on what's in front of us.

Kord: Yeah you're right, sorry man. Whatever you guys need.

YN: Alright then, let's go over with the plan.

Present, YN POV

From what Twist intel said that Blakks delivering the dark water from the express. The plan is to steal a train and infiltrate as Blakk train express. That way we can steal without noticing.

   Trixie will buy time to keep Blakk train busy while Eli, Twist, and Kord use the other to infiltrate to take the cargo. In case they ever chase after us, I'll be ready to stop them while Pronto gets them out of there.

YN: YN to Eli, how's are thing from your side?

Eli: [We got the cargo and Trixie rendezvous with us. It won't be long before they find out. So we leave the rest to you and Pronto.]

YN: Got it. You're ready, Pronto?

Pronto: [Pronto is always ready for the glorious moment!]

Eli: [We're coming in hot, get ready.]

I got in position and take aim with my longshot blaster. Soon I see the red train from my binoculars where Eli and the others are in.

YN: Get ready Bolin.

Bolin nods as the train gets closer. Soon I take the shot. Right when they pass, Bolin transformed and melts the train tracks to slow down the other train. As soon as it was slow down, I load a jellyish slug and fire again at the window to block the view.

   The train manage to get outof the lava since its wells are too thick to melt. Never the less, it gave us enough time.

YN: The rest is up to you Pronto.

3rd POV

Pronto who's standing by the train track switch was whistling until he sees the red train. He then switch the train tracks to let it take the different track before be blast a rammstone slug to hit the gate above the track, causing a waterfall to cover their tracks.

He then switch the tracks back before Blakks train passes by.

Pronto: Team mole to team Pronto, operation gimbal is a success.

YN: [Alright, I'll rendezvous with you guys soon.]

Time skip

YN and Pronto join up with the rest of the gang with the cargo while Kord was still thinking about the ghoul depot.

Eli: Come on Kord, we should celebrating.

Kord: I know. Its just back at the depot, how did Diablos know where we were? One second nothing, then he's right there. Its weird right?

Eli: Kord buddy, we just pulled off a once-in-the-lifetime heist. You gotta learn not to sweat the small stuff.

Kord: I'm an engineer bro, I'm all about small stuff.

YN: For a big guy. (Chuckles.)

Eli: (Smirk.) Well, there's nothing small about this.

Trixie: I can't believe it, Blakks whole supply.

Pronto: Oh to see the look of Dr Blakks face, he will soon and forever rule the name...Pronto.

Everyone just glance at him until he adds up.

Pronto: Oh and Well yours as well. But mostly Pronto.

Eli: Thing will be cool here for a few days. In the meantime, I suggest we bail and find somewhere to lay low.

Twist: (Confused.) You mean we're not staying?

YN: If words gets to Blakk, he'll toss everything right at us soon.

Eli: That's right, so I want us gone in five. We'll come back when we know its-

Suddenly the cargo open up, revealing Nacho and Blakk henchmen ambush.

Eli: -Safe?

Nacho: (Smirk.) Dr Blakk sends his regards.

They start blasting ghouls at them before the Shane gang find cover.

Trixie: This whole thing was a set up and we fell for it!

Kord: Survive first blame later!

They fire back at them to hold them off.

Nacho: Come out children, I promise a quick oblivion.

Pronto: Pronto does not want a quick oblivion, Pronto prefers this oblivion slow and gradual.

Eli: We're sitting ducks out here!

Kord: Take twist and find some higher ground. We'll cover you.

YN: I'll head the other way to flank them.

Eli: We'll surprise them and make the charge up the middle together.

Twist: (Smirk.) Right behind ya.

Eli and Twist runs while the rest cover them. As soon as they're gone, YN makes a run. However, Trixie notice that he's going the same way where Eli and Twist gone.

Trixie: Where you going!?

YN: Protecting my friends! Kord knows what's going on, ask him!

Kord: (Confused.) What!?

YN: Just trust me!

YN shoots Del and makes a tunnel before entering.

Kord POV

They continue shooting ghouls at us and I notice a ghoul screeching. But then I realize what YN really means until Trixie interrupted me.

Trixie: Kord! Get your head in the game!

Kord: It is... YN is right, we have to get to Eli! Listen to me, back at the ghoul depot something wasn't right. It was Loki.

I explain to them of Loki was a ghoul and its illusion only on living things, not on cameras and he avoided Doc touch so it wouldn't get caught. Not to mentioned the difference between YN thugglet and Twists, his can cast a powerful illusion while YNs isn't in the same level.

Kord: If YN is thinking the same thing as I am, then he'll notice Loki and Twist.

Trixie: That means....(To coms.) Eli, this is Trixie, you have to get out of there!

3rd POV

We see Eli and Twist end up in one of will Shane's hideout and Trixie contacts Eli to warn him about Twist.

Trixie: [Its twist! Eli, do you read!? I said Twist is working for Blakk!]

Eli: Is it true?

Eli: That must be a yes. Are you gonna tell me why?

Twist: (Smirk.) I haven't decided yet. You Shane's, so predictable. You jumped at the chance to leave Blakks dark water down here where no one would ever find it. Well now, that's exactly what's gonna happen to you.-

Suddenly Twist hears a blaster ready as he looks back to see YN is aiming at him.

YN: Shane's are predictable, I'll give you that. But LN's are 2 steps ahead before you realize it.

Twist: (Surprise.) How did you know?

YN: I learned a lot of things, finding out who's an spy is one of them. The way you talk to Eli when we first met definitely caught me suspicious. Especially your thugglet ghoul.

Twist slugs notice he's using a ghoul and immediately abandon him.

YN: Had to play out so you know you're fooling me well until the right time.

Twist: Hmph. Gotta hand it to you.

Twist fires to the ground and disappeared.

Eli: How could you do this Twist, you were like a family to me!

They both hear him echoing around as they get back to back.

Twist: (Echoes.) Family? Like a Shane could understand that word. Why don't you tell him YN? What his father really did.

Eli: YN?

YN: (Sigh.) My dad reported that Twist and his dad stole a few slugs and Will chase after them until they fell at the cliff. Will saved Twist from the fall, but didn't save his dad.

Twist: He could've just left us alone. But he had to be a hero, like you-

YN: However, before all that happened, my dad tried to be reasonable with his dad for a better way. But his ignorance got the best of him. Will Shane gave a chance for my dad to talk to him and your dad wasted it. Now it looks like you join Dr Blakk.

Eli: So this is all just for revenge, you want to end up like Dr Blakk?

Twist: (Echoes.) I'm a survivor, all my life I've known the game is rigged. So I like to make sure I'm on a winning team. And from where I'm standing, that's Blakk. Plain as day.

Twist appears and push them before disappearing.

YN: So you decided to rely on dark power where it'll improve your corruption.

Twist: (Echoes.) Its about power, that's something both your dads and Blakk understood.

Twist appears but this time there's 8 of them surrounding Eli and YN.

Twist: Face it, you guys don't know which one of us to shoot.

Eli: (Smirk.) Who said we need to chose?

YN and Eli nods and they both shot their speedstinger slugs. Bouncing and hitting one by one until they both knock Twist to the ground.

YN: There's one thing you forgot about being a survivor Twist. You betrayal those close to you, the consequences will get you before you even notice.

All the slugs in the cave growls and tackles him.

Eli tried to take the shot to cure Loki but they then disappeared. Leaving only the slugs as the rest of the gang arrive in time.

Trixie: Eli, YN!

Kord: Where is he?

Eli: Its okay Kord, I think he's gone.

YN: For now, this ain't gonna be the last we'll see 'em.

Eli: Agree. Let's go home.

They all leave Will's hideout until YN notice a box with his family emblem until Eli called him.

Eli: You alright YN?

YN: Oh um yeah, just something caught my interest, but go on ahead, I'll catch up.

Eli nods as YN picks up the box and join his friends.

Time skip

Now we see Pronto is bringing food for everyone to celebrate their victory against Diablo Nacho.

Pronto: (Smiles.) Dinner is served.

Everybody digs in except for Eli who hasn't touch any food.

Kord: Eli, you alright bro? Its not like you to turn down a home-cooked meal.

Trixie: Especially a non-insect meal which I will point out a rare from Pronto.

Eli: Its fine, its just doesn't feel the sake somehow.

YN: Don't tell me its about Twist.

Eli nods which made YN sigh from disappointment.

Trixie: Eli, he did tried to kill us.

Pronto: Agreed, Pronto does not have many rules, but I draw the line at people who try to kill me. It is extremely rude.

YN: I'd slug myself if I have to say I agree with Pronto.

Trixie: The point being, you can't let him get to you. All of us were fooled.

Eli: Maybe. But I know there was good in Twist, he just has to realize he's not alone here. I just hope we can help him see that before its too late.

YN: Careful who you trust Eli. People you trust more can hurt you badly.

Eli: How would you know?

YN: Trust me, I know...

YN leave but stop by the door.

YN: Look, I trust you guys a lot because we've known each other a lot.

YN POV

I head outside to get some fresh air. While I'm at it, I pick up the box from Will's hideout and notice it has a birthday card with my name.

To my son's 15th birthday.

I realize I missed my 15th birthday long time ago. I pick it up and open it to read it.

DN: To my son. If you're reading this, happy birthday! I'm probably not around to at your birthday but I trust Will to give this to you on your birthday party. But know that I still love you. I know I can't be there for you right now, but the best thing I can for you is have you prepared for your future. There are no doubt that there will be dark days in the future of Slugterra. But know that there are people who stand up for Slugterra and know that you'll be one of them. More importantly, in death, I will love you as always, your father.

I put the card away and open the box, revealing a new Crimson KNG blaster. I take a deep breath while doing my best to hold back my tears. A lot happened today, but if my dad was here, he'd be proud that I kept my friends safe. That's all that matters.
