Prologue ; DAMNIT YOU IDIOTS

"WHAT DO you mean that you're out already? I just gave you more two days ago," Kai was slightly frustrated with his two friends in front of him. Of course they decided to invade his home during the early hours of the day.

"Its quite simply actually. You see we smoked it and now its gone!" Jasper giggled stating the obvious. The boy was still on his buzz.

"Exactly. So can you help us out?" Monty asked looking at Kai. He was a bit more sober then Jasper was.

     "I can't keep stealing my mom's supply. They are gonna notice and think she's taking them. I don't want her to get floated."

     Both boys looked at their friend with blank faces knowing that Kai's mother wouldn't get caught that easily, she was the head of the pharmaceuticals. Kai let out a slight sigh, "Fine! But this will be the last time for a while so you better make it last. I'll be back."

     "Thanks Kai! We owe you!" Jasper said

     "Oh you guys are gonna owe me more than you think."

     The older male had always wondered how he got to the point where he practically became a drug dealer for the teenagers on the Ark. Kai guessed it started when he would steal stuff for him and his best friend, Bellamy Blake.

The two of them had done everything together since they where eleven when they use to be forced together for group projects. At first they never gotten along, being from different stations and all, but after some time together the two noticed how much in common that they both have. That which started a beautiful friendship of twelve years.

     Speaking of the Blake boy, Kai noticed he hadn't seen him at all today which is weird. He figured he still looking after Octavia, the sister he found out about a couple of months ago. That also reminded him that he was suppose to help Bellamy with his sister any minute now.

The Nicholas boy raced to the pharmacy lab where they keep some of the medications that are smoked, mainly marijuana and a few stronger herbs. He pulled out his key card and swiped it across the padlock, granting access in.

Kai knew where everything was by heart. He was lucky enough to not only get a job there but also grew up around it his whole life. Quickly collecting the amount needed Kai raced out of there before someone caught him.

     "Here. Now what did I say before?"

     "This is the last time," both Jasper and Monty said at the same time.

     "Good now get out of here before you get caught and next time wait till your buzzes where off before leaving your rooms. Oh and–."

     "We got it mama Kai," Jasper snorted giving him a salute as well. Kai only rolled his eyes as he watched the boys leave out the door.

     "That better be the last time Malachai," a voice came up behind him causing the boy to jump.

     "Mom! You can't sneak up on someone like that."

     "I can do whatever the hell I please, this is my house."

     Kai couldn't help but roll his eyes. It never failed to hear the sass come from Mrs. Nicholas mouth. The women used it on a regular basis, specially on Kai.

     "Yeah okay mom. Well I'll be back later," Kai said slinging his bag over his shoulder.

     "Where are you going? To meet with lover boy?" Mrs. Nicholas teased

     Ever since the age of fourteen Kai's mother had been convinced that her son and Bellamy have been in love and just don't know it yet. She only thought that since it was the age Kai figured out he liked guys and it was the year that Kai started to notice a change about Bellamy around him.

     Ever since then the anytime the boys where messing with each other Mrs. Nicholas figured they where flirting. Both would deny it. If there was anything Kai knew for certain it was one; he was for sure gay, two; Bellamy is very attractive, three; Bellamy was straight (as far as he knew), and four; the two would never date even if Bellamy wasn't straight. The two wouldn't want to ruin their friendship if things didn't work out.

     "Don't call him that mom. Its not like that," Kai said

     "Sure whatever you say. Have fun! Oh and don't do anything that I wouldn't do!"

     "But there isn't anything that you wouldn't do."

     "Oh hush!" Kai laughed as he walked out.

     A knock on the door startled the Blake siblings. Instinctively Bellamy got ready to hid Octavia.

"Hold on a second!"

"Bells? Its Kai."

Hearing his best friend Bellamy relaxed. He walked over and let Kai in quickly before locking the door. Bellamy gave Kai a hug that lasted a little longer then normal. The two could hug forever if they wanted to but were interrupted by someone clearing their throat.

Kai looked over and smiled seeing Octavia. He moved over to give the Blake girl a hug too. "Hey O. How are you?"

"Still the same as last time," Octavia said as she leaned back. She ignored the slight glare given to her from Bellamy. It happens every time Kai comes over.

"I would like to stay but I have to get going before they get suspicious. I can't be late again," Bellamy states looking at Kai.

"Of course. Don't worry I got Octavia covered," Kai said sending Bellamy a smile.

     Bellamy gave a smile in return before kissing Octavia's forehead. After he made sure the two of them would be okay he left. But not before looking back to Kai. There was this look he held in his eyes when he looked at his best friend, something that Kai couldn't describe. Though it would be obvious to anyone that Kai was giving Bellamy that same look.

     Kai turned a look at Octavia who was giving him her famous 'You two are so in love' look.

     "No don't go there. First my mom and now you."

     "See! I'm not the only one that notices the way you two look at each other. Plus that hug Bell gave you..."

     "Oh hush O."

     "Fine fine. But you know I'm right. I'm always right."

     "Sure."

     It was a couple of hours before Bellamy returned from duty. Looking as tired as ever. Its a lot for one person to handle. But it was pushed to the back of his mind as soon as he saw the sight of Kai and Octavia together. The two were asleep on the floor, a board game in front of them. Something called Monopoly. Kai had stolen it a few years back and when he met Octavia the two would always played when Bellamy had worked.

     Bellamy didn't want to wake Kai up. He looked so peaceful laying there. Small breaths left his mouth that was partly open. His eyes where closed hiding the green that Bellamy felt like he could stare at forever. There was also a slight stubble beginning to appear. Sometimes Kai would let it grow out. Bellamy preferred it on him anyway, it made him look even more attractive.

     Bellamy quickly looked away when Kai started waking up on his own. God what was wrong with him? He shouldn't be thinking that way. Kai is his best friend and he was straight. Yes, Kai was an attractive man but Bellamy didn't swing that way. At least that's what he told himself anyway.

     "I see your awake now sunshine."

     "Damnit we fell asleep again didn't we?"

     Bellamy let out a low chuckle. Kai couldn't help but feel a small chill going down his spine. It always happens but he ignored it like usual.

     "So anything exciting happen today?" Kai asked sitting up and stretched, causing his shirt to ride up a bit exposing some skin.

     Bellamy took a look. His cheek turned a light shade of pink when Kai laughed.

     "Okay I know I'm good looking. But staring? Bells if you want me without a shirt just say the magic word."

     "Says the guy who likes to stare at my ass."

     "What? You do have a nice ass."

     Bellamy rolled his eyes but couldn't help the smirk that found its way to his face. He sent Kai a wink in which now caused Kai's cheeks to turn a light shade of pink. Flirting was normal between the two but lately it's been happening more and more.

     "Anyway the only major thing that happened is we busted these two teens," Bellamy said changing the topic before it got any further.

     He always does that, Kai thought. "What did they get busted for?"

     "Moonshine and some stolen pharmaceuticals. The two where high as hell."

     "Wait what?!"

     Kai's sudden outburst startled Bellamy and woken up Octavia.

     "Kai what's wrong? Did you know them?"

     "I gave those two idiots the pharmaceuticals. Look a gotta go. Their parents must be flipping out. My mom is gonna be so pissed. I'll talk to you later Bells."

     Kai had his bag on and went to Bellamy placing a quick kiss on the cheek before rushing out. He didn't think of his actions once but Bellamy did. The boy was a blushing mess.

     "Just kiss him already!" Octavia exclaimed after Kai was gone.

     "Shut up Octavia. Its not like that."

     "Sure." Bellamy's cheeks got even redder then before. He can't think this way, it wasn't right.

     Kai rushed down the hallways as fast as he could. He has to hurry before the two biggest dorks on the Ark where shoved in the Skybox till they where 18.

     He got there just in time to see Jasper and Monty being taken through the doors before it closed and locked behind them. Kai was too late to say goodbye and that he was sorry. He should have just said no. But they probably would have been caught with Monty's moonshine anyway.

     "Damnit you idiots."
