Sophie pov
After the others had left that night I settled Max into a room and got him ready for bed. While we were getting ready Ed came in with the other little boy we were watching, who happened to be Max's butler. I watched over the two children as they brushed their teeth and washed their faces. Ed came over and held me tightly.
" So I suppose the special bond between royal and butler was passed down through generations." Ed said. I chuckled and leaned into him.
" I suppose so."

After the two children had gone to sleep Ed and I went to our room.

Once inside Ed kissed me and pinned me against the wall.
" Ed." He cut me off by kissing me. He put his arms around my waist and drew me close. He pulled away and we were both panting.
" Someone sure is forceful today." Ed blushed. I chuckled and kissed him.
" I do not mind." He chuckled and kissed me gently.
" Let's go to bed my little flower." Ed picked me up and carried me to bed. I chuckled and wrapped my arms around his neck. I buried my face into his chest. We relaxed on the bed. I yawned sleepily and sank into my fiancé's warm embrace. He chuckled and pulled me close. It wasn't long before we fell asleep.

The next day I was in my office working when the door opened. I looked up to see Max standing there quietly. I chuckled and went over. I bent down and put a hand on his head.
" What is it?"
" May I stay with you?" I smiled and nodded.
" Come on then." I stood up and held his hand. We went back to my desk and I pulled him up into my lap. After a bit Max spoke.
" Grandmother." I smiled and looked down at the child.
" What is it?"
"You really love grandpa don't you?"
" Of course. I can't imagine my life without him." He smiled and than hugged me.
" I really wanted to know you when you were younger."
" Well now you do. What is it exactly you want to know?"
" Did you fall in love with grandpa the minute you met him?"
" Yes. I knew your grandfather was very special the minute we met."
" And you didn't care about social class or anything." I chuckled.
"No. When you fall in love social class is the last thing you think about. Love doesn't discriminate. Why all these questions?"
" No reason." I chuckled and stood up.
" I think now would be the perfect time for a break. How about we go bake and surprise your grandfather?"
" Yeah!" He jumped down and ran to the kitchen. I chuckled and followed him.

We baked for a bit and then went to go find Ed. Max pushed the door open and went in. He hugged Ed tightly and I chuckled. I went over and set the treats down.
" Thank you." I nodded my head and went over.
" You need to remember to take a break."
" So you keep telling me." I chuckled and gave him a quick kiss.
"That was not a suggestion love. Take a break." Ed chuckled and stopped working.
"I'm sorry. I forget sometimes that I'm not used to things like you and the girls are." I laughed.
"Edward. Are you admitting defeat?"
"Only around you." I smiled. Max came over and climbed into Ed's lap. We both laughed. Just then the door opened. Louis came in.
"Your highness. There is an urgent call from Lord Michael." I nodded and kissed Ed then kissed Max's head. I went to my office.
I answered the phone.

"Lord Michael. Is something wrong?"
"I'm afraid so your highness. Would you be able to come here?"
"Of course. I'll head that way now. I shall see you soon."
"See you soon your highness." I hung up and sighed.

"Louis. Prepare the car. I must go to Noble Michael." He bowed.
"Yes ma'am."
"And call Edward here please." He bowed and left. Ed came in shortly after.
"Sophie. What is it?"
"Lord Michael called and asked for me to go there. I won't be long."
"Did he tell you why?"
"I'm afraid not. It did not sound good however. Please stay here and watch over the child."
"I will. Are you sure you'll be okay?" I smiled.
"Yes. I'll be back soon." He came over and held my hands. I smiled at him and we shared a kiss.

Once I arrived at Noble Michael I was greeted by Zain.
" Princess Sophie. If you'll follow me." I nodded.

We entered the meeting room and I saw the other girls already there. Lord Michael came in. He explained everything.
"We've been getting threats lately. Mainly against the men."

He explained the nature of the letters. We all decided that we needed to keep tight security until further notice.

When I entered the palace Max came running up. He hugged me tightly. I smiled and petted his head.

That night I told Ed everything.
" So these threats are what are causing an issue?" I nodded my head.
" That's why I need you to be careful my love. Please." Ed smiled and kissed me. Than he pulled away and stroked my cheek with his finger.
" Of course my princess. Of course."
" Thank you Ed."
" It's nothing. Let's get some sleep." I nodded and lay down curled against him. We fell asleep pretty quickly. This wasn't going to be easy. I knew. But it was going to be interesting.
