...what I can do...
The nurse sighed as she climbed into her truck at the end of the day. Her white truck was something she was vainly proud of, with it's nice seat warmers, high quality stereo system, and long bed.
The bed was the perfect place to throw things, but for some reason, if the loose items aren't covered, they often fly out the back. She was able to fix the problem by tying down a tarp as a cover.
She started up the truck, and drove out the spiked gates of the asylum, which rapidly closed behind her. Since she only covered the shift from 10 in the morning until 2 in the afternoon, some of the more stable inmates were outside for some fresh air at the time of her departure.
Cruising along the narrow and winding roads of the island that the asylum was located on, she stopped at the pick-up spot for the ferry to the mainland. The long red and white arm lifted shakily as the ferry made contact with the island.
Gliding smoothly onto the transport vehicle, the nurse turned the engine off, but kept the radio on to listen to the local radio station.
She was absent mindedly listening, when a public service announce tone sounded, interrupting one of her favorite songs.
Warning. There is an escaped prisoner on the loose from the island asylum. If a man is seen wearing brown scrubs and a disheveled appearance, please report to the authorities immediately. Do not approach the described individual, as he is to be regarded as highly dangerous and unstable.
The nurse froze as the announcement ended. But what scared her even more was the slight rustling coming from under the tarp in the bed of her truck.
