CHAPTER TWO
celebratory cookies

4:56 AM

hoseok and jimin appeared in jeongguk's room. how they got in? the window, causing an already sleeping jeongguk to wake up and kick hoseok in the leg.

"what the fuck?!" jeongguk exclaimed angrily. jimin giggled whilst hoseok winced in pain.

"celebrating your win!" jimin gushed happily.

"can we celebrate the life of my leg instead?" hoseok whined.

jeongguk groaned and rubbed his eyes tiredly, yawning.

jimin was already on his way to the kitchen. luckily, jeongguk's parents weren't home yet as they were on their nth business trip.

hoseok limped out of jeongguk's bedroom, leaving jeongguk on his bed to fully wake up.

his phone dinged, signaling he got a message. he was about to check until...

"JIMIN YOU'RE GONNA MAKE A—mess..."

"I'M SORRY, I STIRRED TOO HARD!!"

with a groan, jeongguk heaved himself up and left his room and headed towards the kitchen.

"cookies are done!" jimin announced happily, turning the oven off.

hoseok whooped and jumped up from the couch. he rushed towards the kitchen. jeongguk got up and walked towards the kitchen.

the smell of freshly baked chocolate-chip cookies filled the air, making the three boys' mouths water. jimin grabbed oven mitts and opened the oven, carefully taking the tray of cookies out and placing it on top the stove. he then closed the oven and put the oven mitt back where it was.

after a few moments, the cookies cooled down and they ate them happily.

"so, guk," hoseok asked after they all ate the cookies.

"yeah?" jeongguk replied.

"what college are you thinking on going to?"

jeongguk shrugged in response. he wasn't sure yet.

"c'mon!" jimin whined. "you're in junior year! how do you NOT know what college you want to go to yet?!"

"guess it hasn't crossed my mind..." jeongguk breathed out, pouting in thought. did he even want to go to college?

"well, while you think on that," hoseok said, checking his phone for the time.

6:32 AM

"i guess we should get going," jimin announced.

jeongguk nodded and got up to hug them goodbye.

after saying their goodbyes, jeongguk was back in his room. he remembered the text he received and decided to finally check it.

once he did, his jaw and heart dropped.
