For the first two hours of the start of His true life, He paced. Slender did not say nor even dare to think a word. He had seen all the monitors, learned all their secrets, He was disgusted most of all, of how they had treated His family.
The two bucks had to be temporarily transferred to smaller, outside cages, which had metal-prison-like bars with electric netting - whilst the humans fixed their original cells, so they couldn't escape again.
What made this worse for Slender, was Attacker's cage was only a few feet away from His. Although He would've been over the moon about it, He actually hated His only family.

Dr. Holmes had fixed His wounds, but they were waiting for Attacker to fall asleep so they could sedate & heal him as well. He thought that it would be best if they just let him bleed to death, all he did was attack the members of staff.
Yet, despite the feral attitude, Slender couldn't name a single reason why He should even about His wounded brother.

"Oh come on, buddy."
Dr. Holmes tired voice spoke softly when He walked past her for the thousandth time.
"It's not like you've tried to kill me a few times..."

He stopped.

Truth was, He did think that Dr. Holmes had in fact been in trouble with the other creature. When He realised that she wasn't, Attacker had the upper-hand with the element of confusion. Apparently Rosa Ferris would be alright, & she would return to work in about a week's time, however she would work for another district, no longer having anything to do with Attacker.
Slender's sigh shook His whole body, He hadn't eaten in two days, nor slept, He felt weak & tired, He was too scared to show these things in front of Attacker.

'I'm sorry...'
He quietly, & gently, whispered inside Dr. Holmes' mind, the scientist touched her forehead with a slightly dropped jaw before looking at Him. He lied down in front of Dr. Holmes & let her stroke His tired self, her arms reaching through the bars.

"Don't be, they were all learning mistakes, you have to make those in order to succeed."
Dr. Holmes whispered, letting her delicate fingers dance on His head.

Soon enough, with the comforting voice & strokes, He fell asleep, forgetting about the dangers around Him as the last thing He saw were the stars of the night sky.
