Many years passed after that day, Luke grew up and was a cheerful and kind child. There were days where he would be locked in his room reading a book or paiting. He would make some flower crowns for his godmothers or help them with things around the house. He would play with animals that came around the house and feed them, or just observe the world outside whenever he could.
And if he stayed up late staring at the stars and dreaming about a world outside then his godmothers wouldn't have to know.
He had blonde hair bright as the sunshine and blue eyes like the sky. A beautiful smile and rosy cheeks completed his looks, along with a sweet and soft voice. Lily always tells him he is an angel and that if he ever goes out and someone insults him then he shouldn't care about it. Luke was taqught that everyone had their own beauty, and that you can't choose who you love (he also learned that you can't leave an orange on a warm place for a week because it will probably get spoiled).
For the fairies, they have been struggling for years without using magic but eventually got used to it. Being a human was though. There was a month until Luke turned eighteen years old and everyone was getting anxious but happy that he was coming back.
''Astale, I'm going to give food to the deers!'' Luke yelled, smiling at the woman who was washing the dishes. She nodded at him and gave him a smile.
The boy walked out of the house humming a melody while he looked at the rays of sunshine between the trees. He liked to see it sometimes, it was comforting to watch even though Astale finds it boring ( Parisa and Lily just think it's nice that he is entertained with something so serene). Luke smiled when he remembering his birthday was just a month away, he didn't know what to ask for. He wanted to go out of the woods but his godmothers have once told him that he couldn't because there was a terrible thing going around outside but he got even more curious. The blonde thinks he heard people in the woods, people calling others (the phrase ''Ashton come back here you little bastard'' was heard very often when he was younger) but eventually had to get it out of his head - no one would come to the middle of nowhere.
He wanted to see new places, to see the castle and see the royal family. He wonders what's it like to be a prince, it's probably not bad but not good at the same time since you have arranged marriages. Or is it only in his books?
Luke was interrupted from his thoughts when something poked his side, he smiled when seeing it was a deer. He petted the animal and gave it food, waiting for other animals to come so they could eat too. He giggled when the deer gave his hand a small lickwhen he was finished eating.
''Calm down Jeid, there's more for you.''
Maybe Luke wanted to get out of there but he was also happy like that.

At the Dark Mountains
''It's been eighteen years and not a single trace of him!'' the man said, looking at his son in disgust ''Are you sure you looked everywhere?''
''Y-Yeah.'' Michael said, shivering when his father gave him a cold glare ''I swear I have dad! There is no clue from where he is, p-please don't throw me in the dungeons again.''
Michael sat down at the ground hugging his knees when his father started throwing stuff around. The man cursed and blew up a table next to Michael. The teenage boy let out a small cry because he was scared, he didn't realise how really wicked his father was until a few days after he came back from the castle and cursed the baby. He was blind with all the lies at the time, he thought his father was the king of the world and that Andrew stole it from him. He wanted to help his father so agreed on cursing the small baby, who was innocent.
He should have run away with his mother when he had the chance.
''Go to your room, you're a disgrace.'' the man said with a harsh voice.
Michael nodded and ran up to his room. He locked the door and sat down in the ground crying, not realising his friend Calum was sitting on his bed watching him. Calum ran to where Michael was, hugging him and letting the black haired boy cry on his shoulder.
''He-He did it again Cal. I don't want to live here anymore.'' Michael said, breaking down into sobs on his friends shoulder.
Calum nodded and hugged his friend tighter, pressing a kiss to his head ''I know Mikey, it will be over soon.''
