Chapter 34: Romeo and Juliet

It was past midnight. The moon shone high above and the stars scattered the sky.

He shifted to his human form wearing his basketball shorts and came out from the shadows of the trees. In front of him was a vast mansion. For days, she was forbidden to leave this place. Forbidden to leave the borders of the land. Forbidden to see him.

His heart was aching. Aching for her. Without her, his heart was broken to pieces and she was the stitches.

He looked up. The scent was coming from the balcony at the second floor. He climbed up the fence and sneaked inside the room. Her sweet scent quickly flooded his nostrils. Despite the darkness, his dilated eyes could see clearly across the room. She was sound asleep upon her bed. Dead to the world.

He took long strides and neared the beautiful girl whom he had been aching for. Each step closer was a second closer to home. It was homesickness that surged through him. His life was ruined since she left, because she left. He had been like a walking dead person. A merciless, heartless Alpha. He made a home out of her and when she left, he was homeless, lost, and alone.

Her hair was still long and dark. It scattered beautifully around her pillow and he could see the side of her heavenly face. Soft plump lips looking so inviting and beautiful.

It had only been days but it seemed to him it had been a long time since he saw her. Approaching the bed, he hovered above her and looked at her face. Looking so peaceful and beautiful. Arms bracing her sides, he leaned down and kissed her lips. Lightly. Softly. Gently.

He closed his eyes and began to feel her reciprocating on her own. Her hands gingerly moved to caress his sides as she moaned softly. Opening his eyes, he pulled back slowly and sat up from the bed. In the dark, she saw the outline of his shadow.

"Zach?" she called. There was utter loneliness and melancholy dripping from her soft voice. He felt it. She was broken. Deep inside. And he desired nothing but to comfort her.

"I'm here."

Slowly, she sat up from the bed and couldn't believe it. He was here? Was she dreaming? For days, she dreamed of him. Dreamed of his lips upon hers. Dreamed of his arms wrapping around her providing comfort. But she didn't care anymore whether tonight was only a dream or not. She threw her arms around him and straddled his lap as she buried her face at the crook of his neck and smelt his scent.

Before she could stop herself, tears pooled in her eyes and they ran silently down her face in the surge of the moment. Oh, how she missed him! His scent. His lips. His skin against hers. Everything.

His strong arms came around her and slowly she began to believe this wasn't a dream. Wrapping his arms around her, he deeply smelled in her sweet scent and God how he missed her. He stroked her hair and rubbed her bare back under the thin shirt she wore.

"I missed you," she whispered softly in his ear, her voice so broken and homesick.

"Me, too, Kitten," he murmured. "Me, too." He kissed her hair. "Don't ever do that again."

She sniffed. "Do what?"

"Leave me."

"I'm sorry," she murmured sincerely.

He pulled back from her and cupped the side of her face. Looking deeply into her innocent eyes, he looked deep into her pure soul. "I love you," he said, "and I need you.".

Even in the dark, she saw the fire in his eyes and just then she realized what he meant. He was answering the very last question she had asked him on the phone before she left him.

I love you and I need you.

His voice echoed in her head. True love and need are two different things. But one cannot exist without the other. Is that what true love is?

He leaned down slowly and she touched his jaw, caressing his slightly grown stubble. "I love you, too," she murmured softly before his lips came down upon hers. Passionately, they kissed under the moonlight that dimmed inside the darkness of the room and she felt the love radiating from his touch.

His hand came around her and held the back of her head, angling her lips to his as he pleased. His other hand rubbed against the soft skin of her bare thighs then played with the edge of her thin underwear, relishing at the extent of her divine exposure because she only wore an underwear below and nothing more.

After awhile, they pulled apart and she leaned down upon his chest panting. Hearing the sound of his heartbeat against her ear, she listened to it and tried to understand it.

"I can't believe you're here," she muttered softly under the comfortable silence in the room. "Every night, I dream of you..and every dream makes me want to stay asleep forever..forever waiting for you." She lifted her head and gazed at his lips, tracing it with her finger. "..for your lips," she murmured.

He grabbed her hand and kissed her knuckles. "Run away with me," he said. He gazed into her eyes and there he saw pure innocence.

She bit her lower lip. "But I'm forbidden to leave the land."

He clenched his jaw, feeling the anger radiating through him. Just because his enemies killed someone doesn't mean it was his fault. And now, they decided it was best to keep her away from the Devil--who was him.

"I don't care," he said. "You belong with me."

Pursing her lips, she caressed his cheek with her other hand and looked into his eyes. "You can't rush something you want to last forever, Zach," she said. "Love should be something worth waiting for."

He shook his head. "We're meant for each other. This love is worth fighting for."

"It doesn't always have to be about wars and force," she said. "It doesn't always work like that. Love comes forth at the right time. For now, our love is broken and our hearts are wounded. But time heals everything, Zach. We just have to wait."

He sighed. Because she was right. In every sense of the word. He kissed the palm of her hand. "I'll wait for you," he said. "Until your eighteenth birthday."

She was turning eighteen in a few days. There would be a grand celebration at the Blue Wolf Pack. But he wasn't allowed to trespass the territory. John still held a grudge upon him which was absurd. Some people just never learm from the past.

"Wait for me," he said and kissed her forehead.

Nodding her head, she closed her eyes and responded, "I'll wait for you."

"Good girl." He smiled and in the dark, she faintly saw the twitch in his lips. He leaned down and whispered in her ear, "I really missed your taste, Kitten."

Although a little bit confused, she felt the way shiver ran down her spine. His hand caressed the soft skin of her arm down her bare thighs as he laid down his back on the soft bed.

"Come, Kitty," he purred urging her. Reluctantly, she straddled higher up his waist and his hands urged her higher until she reached his head straddling his face. He easily ripped off her thin underwear and before she could protest, his tongue lapped up her püssy and a soft cry escaped her lips.

"Zach--Oh, God." She threw her head back moaning as her back arched to their own instinct. Her hands lightly gripped his hair as he ate her out, tasting her arousal. She moaned his name. It had been days since she felt like this. For days, she was aching for this.

She felt the heat from her core as he ignited fire from within her. Unable to control herself, she rode his face to ecstasy until she released the tension in her body. His arms held her thighs down as he licked after every last bit of her release.

Moving off of him, she blushed as she watched him lick his lips clean with his tongue. He sat up and kissed her deeply despite her shyness. They pulled apart and she looked down flushed and embarrassed.

He grinned in the dark because she looked so adorable. "Why are you embarrassed?" he asked and kept his amusement to himself.

She blushed even more and softly muttered under her breath, "You just ruined my underwear."

He smirked. "If you're with me, Kitten, you won't be needing any underwear."

She groaned and despite herself, she grabbed the ruined underwear and went inside her closet leaving him on the bed. When she came out, she was already wearing shorts and he was already lying down her bed fast asleep.

Shaking her head, she approached him and stroked his head softly with her hand. She leaned down and kissed his cheek then whispered in his ear, "Wake up, Romeo. You have to go now."

He groaned and pulled her to him without warning. He wrapped his arms around her waist and rolled over trapping her against the bed. He laid his head on her chest and listened to her fast heartbeat. "Wanna sleep forever," he exhaled in a breath, "in your arms, my Juliet."

She smiled. "Do I have to kiss you to wake you up, then?" she asked.

He moaned his response.

She sat up from the bed and tried hard to remove his head from her chest. Standing up on the floor, she pulled his heavy arm until he finally sat up. Despite her weak strength, he pulled her back to him. She stood on the floor and he stayed sitting on the bed as he hugged her waist and felt her hands caressing his head.

"I don't wanna leave you," he said.

"But you're not leaving me, Zach," she answered. "You never left me. You've always been here." She pressed his head on her chest. "In my heart. And I'll always be in yours."

He took a deep breath if her sweet scent and sighed. "Wait for me," he said. "Until my return. I'll come back for you. I promise."

Although, in his mind, he was plotting his plan to kill the rogues who had dared to kill Lola and those who had killed his Father. He was to seek revenge. Deep in his heart, a part of his soul was blackened and it was filled with anger and a dark desire for vengeance. She didn't need to know that because he knew her pure innocent heart would say otherwise. Her soul was too pure and no doubt she would havd done anything to stop him from his evil plan.

And so he pulled away from her arms and went towards her balcony. She followed after him and watched as he climbed down and reached the ground without wounds.

She looked down at him below with such love in her eyes, and upon the ground, he looked up at her with so much longing.

"Farewell, my Juliet," he said. "Until we meet again."

She waved her hand and a sad smile came over her lips as she watched him vanish from the tall dark trees of the forest. "Farewell, my Romeo," she murmured to the wind.
