Mental Definitions
the other day i was thinking
while sleep drunk
i realized, our definitions of things are different.
and changing one's definition of something is the key to changing a mindset when one is having bad mental health.
At least for me... I'm definitely no professional in this field, these are all personal experiences I've had.
like for example, what would you consider the situation for you to be stress and anxiety free be?
If you answered idk, welp... that's a problem, because not identifying situations would trigger your anxiety for no reason.
like for me, being stress free is having time to sit with my family and hang out with them, or take a nap just because, or be able to listen to music without anything else
now someone might say, they wouldn't have to worry about the next 5 years.
And that's a lot. Kind of unhealthy too, to keep thinking of the future and not living in the present.
so they'd have to change their definition of relaxed.
Oh oh remember when Newt Scamander said "my philosophy is that worrying only makes you suffer twice"
And that's basically how I view worrying about the future. Pointless in my opinion.
To a certain point ofc.
Like I focus on working towards goals now, and I don't worry about the future of the goal, whether it would succeed or not, stuff like that. I work on it NOW. And eventually I'll reach the future, stress free.
Listen, stress is really bad, but ever since I thought about it this way, it's become much easier.
Haven't fainted in a while, so that's saying something.
So anyways, everything is about our definitions of things.
The definition of success, relaxation, a bad day...etc.
I suggest you dig deep in your mind and see what you think of such things. Make it easier on yourself.
And always remember,
You deserve to be happy now.
