Hi I'm completely in love and obsessed with this band and they released this album yesterday and it's all I've been listening to because they're literally geniuses.

Anyways.

This lyric stuck in my mind and I can't stop thinking about it.

"We're heroes and villains by chance,
We're heroes and villains by choice"

People see us in different lights depending on what situations they've been with us in. We could be seen as heroes, or villains, and that is completely by chance.

Maybe we'd had a bad day and snapped at a stranger; so their only thought of us is of a villain. All through chance.

And maybe, we were the reason someone smiled, and maybe, they needed it more than anyone knew. We'd be their hero, completely by chance.

But then again, we have control over our actions. We choose what we do and what paths we take. We're heroes or villains by choice.

I find it beautiful, that different versions of us exist in each person's mind. But it's more beautiful when we choose the right path and let some joy into the worlds of the people around us.

In a world of villains, it's nice to come across a hero.

I know I said the line between good and bad is blurred, but being a hero could be as simple as offering a smile. Being a villain would be even easier.

Idk what the point of this rant was to be honest.

Anyways seriously go listen to this band they're literally the BEST

they also have this side band thingy because they made the soundtrack for Alan Wake so they're also "the elder gods of asgard" and I highly recommend you listen to those songs as well.

Just trust me guys

OH OH AND I FINALLY FULFILLED MY CHILDHOOD DREAM OF SPINNING A STICK AROUND WITH MY HAND LIKE KUNG FU PANDA-
