"Hmm?" Gourry said to himself, walking with Lina. He thought to himself, 'I wonder what Xellos was talking about? Something to do with newly weds? I wonder if he means that special thing that Lina still hasn't told me about yet. Oh, well. I will find out soon enough with her telling me about it. Right now, I won't worry about it too much.'

He then watched as Lina cut the wedding cake, while he thought in his head, 'Because all I want right now is Lina. And some cake would be nice too. YUM! That wedding cake sure looks sweet! I can't wait to get a huge slice of that thing.' He licked his lips, thinking cake sounded really appetizing for him to eat now.

He then got the knife and sliced the cake all perfectly into even pieces like he was using it like a sword in combat. "Will anyone be interested in having some cake today?"

All the pieces of cake then flew over the air. People gasped seeing the cake slices fly up. "Everyone quick! Grab your plates! And, catch the cake while you still can!"  said Lina, throwing some plates to people who caught them.

Sylphiel caught 2 plates of cake. Xellos caught one just in the right amount of time because the vanilla cake slice was almost gonna hit Filia on her face. Luckily, it didn't. "Xellos." said Filia. "Thank you."

"Sure, no problem." said Xellos, looking happy.

"Say, what was Lina scolding you about? Just a few minutes ago? To do with Gourry, I think? I couldn't hear any of it, over the loud music that was playing." asked Filia.

"Uh--" said Xellos. "It's nothing really important for you to know about. Please don't mention it to anyone. Not even Lina, or else she will get mad at me for it again." he didn't want Filia knowing about the dirty joke that he tried to mention to Gourry about Lina.

And he didn't want to get Filia angry either. He was just trying to avoid trouble all together.

"Oh." Filia walked over back to the table while holding the cake on the plate that Xellos had given to her (the one that he caught near her). "Okay, then. I won't speak any further about it. Whatever it is. It's none of my concern, anyways."

Amelia and Zel both caught several pieces of cake on top of the many plates that they were holding. "Please be gentle with handling the cake, Zel."

"Yes, I will be careful about it. Don't you worry your pretty-little head over it, Amelia." said Zel.

Gourry and Lina then caught the last plates and set them down on the table. Then everyone else in the crowd started cheering for them and clapping in amusement.

"That was a great show, Lina." said Lina's sister Luna.

"Yes, I give it 5 stars." said Martina, followed by the sounds of her weird-unusual laughter.

"Well, it's cake. So dig in, everyone. There's plenty more!" said Lina, pointing to all the plates of cake that were on top of the table.

She then turned back to Gourry, staring at him with her serious face. "Geez, Gourry. Why did you have to cut the wedding cake, like you were using the Sword of Light? To cut something through it? All the cake could of gotten ruined, with its flying around everywhere. You got to use your head more, next time on that. We are lucky that we all caught the cake in time, for it not to be spoiled for our wedding night."

"I was just trying to cut the cake all fast and put on a show." said Gourry. "I guess, I must of gone overboard with showing off my swordsman skills." he closed his eyes. "Heh," he patted his own hair. "My bad. I won't do that again. Next time, I slice cake. I will be sure to remember to use the knife and that little cake server-thingy."

Lina laughed. "Gourry, the little cake server-thingy. Is called, a cake server. It's what you use to serve cake with and get the cake slice out of the cake with. But you don't use it to slice cake with. You use a regular knife to cut cake."

"Ohh! That makes sense!" said Gourry.

"It's time for me to throw away flower bouquet that I have." said Lina, getting her flower bouquet from her table. "Girls, get ready."

The girls all stood up in the ballroom to gather around Lina. She then threw the bouquet into the crowd. Filia accidentally tripped on her heels and her hands were wide open, unexpectedly catching the bouquet.

Xellos gasped in shock. "Oh, Filia. You got Lina's wedding bouquet. You know, what that means.. next for you? Don't you? Right?" he winked at her.

"Me? Getting married?" asked Filia, blushing. "That's totally ridiculous. There is no way. Like, I would ever find a husband quickly, willing to do that for me." she giggled. "And, I'm a single mother, taking care of Valgaav. My adopted son."

"You can have me." said Xellos, taking both of her hands. "I can also help you take care of Valgaav. And live with you, so you don't feel lonely."

"Xellos. Really? But..." said Filia. "I don't know. That's so much for you to do. I--" she was cut off when Xellos shushed her, "Shhh."

"There, there. So you do agree to it? Filia. I really don't mind, putting my life on the line for you." replied Xellos. "It's your choice, ain't it?"

Filia looked down at the flower bouquet that was in her other hand and she looked back up at the smiley-eyed Xellos. "Sure." she blushed, turning away from his eye contact. "What the heck!? I don't mind. I guess this is the missing piece that I was searching for in my life, that I have been waiting for..in so long."

Xellos then kissed Filia on her cheek. "Good. That finally settles it. You're mines now, Filia. Remember...that there is no escaping me." he began to hold her hand and lead her down the room to get a bite to eat at the dessert table.

The dessert table had many yummy desserts. Pudding. Chocolate cake. Brownies. Cherry scones. Blueberry pie. Cookies. There was even a vanilla fountain and a chocolate fountain.

"Want some pudding?" asked Xellos to Filia. "Pie?"

"No, thanks. I'll take some cherry scones, please." Filia said.

Xellos served her a few cherry scones on a mini glass plate. "Here." he gave them to her, while he took the flower bouquet from her. "And, I'll take this bouquet from you. So, that it's out of the way."

"Oh my. You're such a gentleman." Filia was impressed by Xellos' good manners and generosity.
