and plot twists ensued
It hadn't been long since the fire, which was put out quickly after the man had appeared to burn to death, and now everyone was hungry. They sat in a sort-of elliptical shape in the middle of the trail, some with their backs turned to the others. It was dark, it was getting cold, and no one had eaten anything at the feast because of Courtney's interruption.
"I want pie," Robin said sadly, picking at the bowl of random leaves the taller flannel-man had collected from the side of the trail. He called it a salad. This was a dishonor to salad-kind.
"NO ROBIN DON'T SAY- oh crap." Courtney shrunk into the shadows and waited for the inevitable, and it seemed only she knew what that was.
"Did I hear pie?" The one Robin called Apple Pie, funnily enough, quickly stood up and looked around like a crazed chihuahua.
"Yeah," Minna cut in, "And sadly, we don't have any." Apple Pie sat back down and resumed drawing weird symbols in the dirt.
"What about you?" Robin turned to the one with the trenchcoat, "Hungry too?"
"Oh, it's quite alright, I don't eat." He turned back towards a tree where two birds were squawking angrily at each other.
"Wai-what? What do you mean you don't-"
"I can taste all of the particles in everything. It is overwhelming and I find it quite disgusting. I have no desire to eat at the moment." He smiled briefly at her over his shoulder and looked back at the birds.
Robin nodded slowly, thinking less about what he had said and more about the fact that it was the most she had heard him say in one go.
Suddenly, a flash of light came from the middle of the elliptical shape. When Julia looked closer it seemed more like it came from Courtney.
"COURT!" Julia yelled and flung herself over to Courtney, who now seemed fine and resumed eating her own bowl of salad.
"Wait..." Julia paused for a second, a confused look appearing on her face, "Who's Court?"
[BTW I WAS GONNA END IT HERE BUT IT WAS ONLY LIKE 300 WORDS LONG SO NO]
Julia stood up, looking around at everyone in the group, "Who are all of you?"
Everyone stared back at Julia, confuzzled.
"Julia are you oka-" Sophie was cut off by Minna standing up to join Julia.
"She's right, who are you?" Minna took a sudden defensive stance and flicked her gaze dangerously fast from one group member to another.
"Julia? Minna? Calm down, it's going to be alright. We just need to sort this out." Robin stood up slowly and put his hand up like you would to calm a dog or something. Apple Pie pulled a knife out of his jacket and backed up to guard the tall one.
"It's okay," he whispered aggressively over his shoulder at the tall flannel-man, "I've got you Sammy."
"Dean I think-"
"SAMMY DON'T QUESTION ME, I KNOW WHAT'S BEST FOR YOU, I'M OLDER THAN YOU, I CAN PROTECT YOU, SAMMY, I ALWAYS HAVE, YOU THINK YOU CAN DO THESE THINGS BUT YOU JUST CAN'T, SAMMY."
"Dean, it's a fourteen year old amnesiac, I think I can handle it."
"Teenagers are dangerous, Sammy," Dean said in a low, warning tone and looked 'Sammy' in the eye.
"Dean-"
"They scare the living shit out of me, Sammy."
"Dean-"
"CAN YOU TWO SHUT UP ABOUT YOUR DRAMA FOR LIKE, TWO SECONDS? WE'RE HAVING A PROBLEM HERE."
Dean and Sam looked back at the group to see a very pissed off Robin trying to handle the situation.
"So you don't remember us... At all?" Sophie asked. When Julia and Minna shot them questioning looks, Robin traced a finger down his cheek to represent a single tumblr tear.
"No. But we know we're in Middle-earth, and we know that we somehow got here together." Minna raised her eyebrows at Julia to see if she was speaking for the both of them, and Julia nodded in response.
"Middle-earth? So, what, the opposite of Skyrim?" Robin's laugh faded out uncomfortably. Sophie shook her head no.
Minna and Julia glanced at each other quickly before sprinting off down the darkening path. The dust cleared and the rest of the group shot confused glances in every direction.
"What are you waiting for?" Courtney stood up and screamed, pointing in the direction the two had just taken off in, "We need to go after them!"

Meanwhile in Mirkwood, Emily had sassed King Thranduil too far. A guard opened the large door that led to the dining room they were in and gasped, quickly turning around and sneaking out to quietly gather backup. The Elvenking was standing on the table, his foot in a plate of tomatoes, with his sword pointed towards Emily in a way that seemed they were to duel. Emily brandished a butter knife fiercely and started reaching behind her for grapes to throw at the king. The tension could have been cut by the daggers they were both glaring.
"You wouldn't dare," Thranduil challenged, waving his sword lightly. Emily flipped her hair.
"If would, and I don't care." Thranduil tilted his head at her comment. She dropped her intimidating posture and rolled her eyes, throwing her hands around in defeat. "It rhymed, it was supposed to be funny."
