Part 1: Not what she seems
Yoshimistu was wandering through the cobbled streets of Yuma, a city in the kingdom of Vandell. He was living there, well temporarily living there. He had kind of just been traveling around the kingdom training, doing random good deeds, and listening to the circling rumours and stories of the growing tension of war.
His sword, securely in its sheath, clanked quietly against his left leg as he walked.
"Excuse me young man." An older woman said from a shop he was walking past.
He stopped and looked in her direction. "Yes madam?"
"These packages here just arrived for me and my daughter's shop. She's not in right now, and I'm afraid my bones are too old to carry them all in by myself. Would you mind lending an old woman a hand?" She asked with a kind smile.
"Of course, I'd be glad to help." He replied letting his flat expression curl upwards. He was glad that the common people of Vandell could still act normal without worrying about the constant fears of war. It was nice to see them going about their daily lives. But it saddened him to wonder how long that would actually last... He walked towards her picking up the heavy packages.
"Oh thank you so much. You can just bring them right inside. She led the way.
Before he knew it he had transported all of them inside.
"Thank you again so much. Let me give you something for your troubles." She reached into her pocket.
"Oh no please, I couldn't ask for money for such an easy task. There's no need." He shook his head.
"Very well then, but at least take this." She walked over to the counter taking a pastry out from under a glass dish. "You're so skinny. I wouldn't want you to starve."
"Thank you, that's very kind." He took it.
It was then that she finally realized his sword. "Oh are you part of the royal army?"
Yoshimistu felt a twinge of sadness. "Um, no... I just travel around doing jobs for people where I go. The sword was my father's, it's mostly just for protection."
"Oh I see. Well I won't leave you here any longer then." She bowed slightly.
"It was a pleasure." He returned her bow and then left. As he was walking out the door there was a girl walking in that caught his eye.
Not because he was a perv or anything, but the girl was strange. She was wearing black semi-revealing clothing, which was strange for the area they were in. What also struck him as odd was the fact that she had dark purple hair. It wasn't entirely impossible for someone to have such an unique colour, in fact he himself had darker blue hair, but it was quite rare, so you didn't see it often.
He had apparently had looked at her for too long because she stopped to stare back at him.
He quickly looked away and walked out of the shop eating away at the pastry.
She gave him a strange look as he left, but then focused on buying what she needed, and talking to the old lady.
Once outside he continued along the street. He decided to go to the local pub for a drink, and to hear the latest chit chat.

Yoshimistu sat at the bar sipping away at a mug of booze as he listened to the gossip go around the bar.
"Hey." One guy semi-whispered to his buddy. "Did you hear about the disappearing house?"
"No what's that?" The other asked seemingly intrigued.
Yoshimistu was as well.
"Apparently there's this little house that disappears and then a few days later will show up in a completely different city." He explained. "There's been sightings all over the kingdom."
"Wow no way. Is it magic? The work of a wizard?" The guy asked.
"I don't know, but I don't see how it could be anything else." He replied.
"Well if wizards are real, who's to say the rumours about demons aren't either." The man pointed out.
Magic and demons were a controversial subject everywhere. Despite the stories of witches and wizards the existence of magic was still doubted by anyone who hadn't actually witnessed it yet. But with all the strange things happening it was hard not to believe it. And as for demons, well no one really believed in them. Just scary stories to keep your children inside at night. Besides who really would believe they're real. They were rumoured to have amazing strength, be able to disguise themselves as humans, and practically be immortal. No such being could actually be true.
There was suddenly a loud ruckus outside breaking the peaceful night he had been having. He quickly paid the bartender and went to see what was going on. A small crowd had gathered.
"I-I'm sorry!" A man on the ground begged scooting away from two other guys.
One had a purple aura surrounding him and the other had fire in the palm of his hand.
Yoshimistu widened his eyes in awe at the duo. Magic? So it is real... But how did they get it?
The man continued. "I-I promise I'll pay you back in full. I just need a little more time!"
"Now we agreed that you'd pay now. We need the money, buddy. So pay up or we're gonna have to start compromising." The one with the fire said threateningly as his friend just chuckled with a menacing smile.
"B-but, I don't have the money right now!" He said again.
"Now that's too bad." He clicked his tongue and charged up a fire ball.
Yoshimistu quickly jumped in front of the man, drawing his sword. "Back off! Don't you guys have anything better to do? Why don't you go fight someone who's more your level instead of preying on the defenceless?"
"Oh? Yeah? And who's gonna stop us? A pathetic weakling like you? Yeah right!" The man threw the fireball right at Yoshimistu. It was too fast to dodge.
Suddenly as if in the blink of an eye someone jumped in front of him, blocking most of the attack with their sword. Some of the attack still passed through scorching his left shoulder, causing him to hiss in pain.
Once He got a good look he realized that it was that girl from the shop earlier.
The men looked surprised that she was able to block it. But then both started to charge up again.
Yoshimistu quickly turned to the crowd. "Everyone get out of here, and to someplace safe, now!"
The man and all the bystanders did as the were told and ran.
"You'll both regret interfering." The man with the purple aura shot it at Yoshimistu.
The girl quickly grabbed him jumping away from it. "You fool! If that so much as touches you you're dead." She finally spoke, but In an entirely rude and harsh way. she then had to block another fire attack.
"Over here girly!" The other guy jumped at her while she was left open striking her with the purple magic.
She screamed in pain fending it off. She then grabbed his arm as the magic dispersed. She picked him up with her one open arm and threw him across the street casing him to hit a wall roughly and get knocked out. She then quickly fought off the other one.
What?! I thought she said that purple stuff would kill me. So how is she still okay, and how the hell did she throw that guy with just one arm?! Yoshimitsu thought.
"That should hold them off for now, come on you don't stand a chance against them." She grabbed his arm and started to pull him along as she ran.
"Hey wait-!" Yoshimitsu tried to protest but it was too late.
They ran down the street and into a little house.
"Sit there and I'll get something for that burn." She pointed at a green chair. "And you don't have to worry about them finding us. The house becomes unable to see once I enter."
The disappearing house? He did as he was told and sat.
She began to dress his wound.
He glared at her not at all trusting the girl. "Who are you?"
"Kuroyami." She replied simply seeming slightly annoyed. "And you?"
"Yoshimitsu." He replied.
"Bleh isn't that a mouthful?" She scoffed. "I'm gonna stick with just Mitsu."
"Don't shorten my name, when I don't even know you." He stood abruptly.
"You got a problem with me pal? I did just save your life. Show a bit of gratitude." She crossed her arms. Her eyes changed from blue to purple as her anger grew.
"Actually to be perfectly honest I don't trust you in the least bit. How come you could throw that guy with just one arm? Why didn't you die when that magic hit you? And how the hell did your eyes just change colour?!" He asked accusingly. "It's impossible!" He widened his eyes as a realization hit him. "It is impossible...Unless you're... You're a-"
She suddenly cut him off by grabbing his face and forcing her lips onto his.
Hey guys I hope you like this. It is an original idea so give me some feedback! Vote and comment, bye!
