The Lift Situation
The warm night air crashed into my sweaty skin as Chris and I began walking the 3 short blocks to the hotel. Inhaling pure air after being trapped into that foul basement full of nosy people was like being born again, except it wasn't helping me to chill out, not a single bit: I was nervous as a cat.
My heart began to pump loudly as I encountered myself walking with Chris in the dark and empty street. I'm not going to lie, I was very intrigued about what was his idea of spending that night together. I very much imagined he was going to snatch me up like the last time I was with him in his room.
My heart was divided into two tangled pieces: one was missing Ben in every way imaginable, cause I obviously wasn't over him yet. But the other part, which was getting stronger by the minute, was happy and delighted to be with Chris.
It was always hard for me to make up my mind when emotions emerged in the way, my heart was already so stomped by love, by emotions and bad choices. I knew I will never be able to get rid of my emotion sickness.
But I also knew this time I didn't have excuses to tell myself like I usually did. I trusted Chris, I knew him and Benny so fucking well. I knew Chris would never ever hurt me, I knew Chris was fucking head over heels with me, because I could see that through his deep eyes, through his sweet kisses, through his firm and soft caresses, through the way he always smiled at me.
He had an special aura, a warmth I've never sensed in another human being before. And it lighted from inside out and burned specially strong when he was around me.
The soft touch of the tip of his fingers against mine woke me up from my daydreaming. Two blocks to go, and we were still silent. Chris cleared his throat.
"Um..." he clearly wanted to say something he couldn't for whatever reason. He waited a couple of seconds, apparently debating between speaking and swallowing the words. When he spoke, he did it slow and smooth. "Um...Dan, I'm so glad you accepted to come with me".
A shiver ran down my spine. Chris always had the ability of being so sweet with everybody. There was some kind of magic spell in the tone of his silky voice that made me feel in heaven.
I looked at him and smiled fondly. "I'm glad you're here with me, mate".
I took over the situation and took his hand; I instantly felt his hand tighten mine while we looked deeply in the eyes. The night swallowed the noise around me, and the air felt flexible around us. Only the stars were shining above us as I felt how a precious and infinite moment was building between Chris and me.
We arrived at the hotel and got in the lift. The second after I pressed the 5th floor button and turned around, Chris's hand ran down from my cheek to my neck, while the other gently gripped my right hand. Our lips crashed once again. He kept going up holding from my hand, to my arm, up to my neck, lightly choking me with both warm hands. Silence only broke by our kisses and heavy breathing. Just when Chris gently bit my lower lip, the lift stopped with a jolt and the doors opened after a faint ding.
We stopped our little kissing party and look at each other smiling while we stepped out into the hall.
"Can we call room service for drinks? I think we need a couple of cold beers" I said, giggling a little bit.
"Yeah we can, I ask for beer all the time, mate" said Chris looking at me with that amazing sweet gaze of his.
Just as we were reaching Chris's door, we heard a loud gasp followed by an squeal of excitement. There she was, right next to my room door at the end of the hall, my sister Chelsea.
"Where have you been, bro?"
