Tigerkit's pov

I crouch low, tail swaying as i pounce on Mudkit, he growls playfully and swats at my ears. I flatten my ears to dodge and let out a hiss as Featherkit pounces on me, causing us to tumble over. "Kits! I sweat you need to calm down!" Frostwatcher meowed angerly. Lakestripe laid his tail on her shoulder, but she completely ignored him and walked off, i guess we get out excitement from our father. I remember stories of Frostwatcher's first love, she loved a tom named Tigerleap, the father of  Deerhop, i remembered being named after Tigerleap even though Lakestripe was proudly her second love. "Come on Tigerkit!" Featherkit meowed. Featherkit was named after Tigerleap's first love, not mate, love, Featherwind, sense their fur was similar to looks. Mudkit was named after Mudwhisker, the medicine cat who was forever limping on three legs. i felt special that i was named after someone special unlike Shellkit, Mothkit, and Coalkit, i sigh and follow Featherkit. "What!" i snap. "Look, Gingerpaw is becoming a warrior" i turn to see Gingerpaw at Highledge. I wince when Larkpaw and Duskpaw, her brothers, glared at her as Sparrowstar finished the ceremony. "You shall be known as Gingerfang, in honor of your mentor Cedarfang" everyone congratulated the new warrior but Larkpaw and Duskpaw stomped off, anger clear in their actions. I turn to Mudkit who just shrugs, clearly not understanding as well, Lakestripe ignored the our protests to see what was happening as he led us to the nursery. "Not fair! We need apprentices! We should be out there" i whine. "Larkpaw and Duskpaw are working hard until your ready" he meows, making me frown. "Now why don't you three go find Shellkit?". "She's in the medicine cat's den with Coalkit" Mudkit meowed. "And Mothkit is with Frostwatcher" Featherkit finished with a huff. I roll my eyes and pawed her head, she glared at me but didn't say anything as i smiled and followed Mudkit back out of the nursery. "Where are you going! Frostwatcher isn't going to be happy" Featherkit meowed but didn't attempt to stop us i just shrugged and continued to walk though camp. I heard her let out a frustrated huff before following, she glared at us but Mudkit just smiled innocently and continued to walk though camp. I dodged warrior's paws, the camp was full of cats, even Doveheart and Brackenspots were having a bit of a full den. "Lets go check on Shellkit and Coalkit" i meow, Mudkit nods and Featherkit hesitantly follows.
